Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of parenting patterns most often used in assisting children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and assess the effectiveness of each parenting pattern. This study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on 16 scientific articles published between 2015-2025 and obtained from various databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. The results showed that authoritative (democratic) parenting is the most widely used and most effective approach for children with ADHD. It is characterized by a combination of emotional support and consistent supervision, which has been shown to reduce ADHD symptoms and improve children's social and executive functioning. In contrast, authoritarian and permissive parenting tends to worsen the condition of ADHD children. Factors such as parental education level, parenting experience, and family structure were also found to influence the type of parenting practiced. These findings emphasize the importance of choosing the right parenting style to support the optimal development of children with ADHD.

Abstract

Anxiety is one of the most common psychological problems experienced by employees as a result of high job demands, unpredictable work situations, and increasing occupational pressures. If not managed adaptively, anxiety may negatively affect psychological well-being, trigger physiological symptoms, and interfere with individuals' ability to perform their daily activities effectively. This study aimed to examine the application of Beck's Cognitive Model in reducing anxiety among an employee in the energy sector. The study employed a Single Subject Research (SSR) approach using a single-case study design involving a 41-year-old male employee working in an energy company under a shift-work system. Data were collected through semi-structured clinical interviews, behavioral observations, the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-42), the Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFIT), the Personality and Preference Inventory (PAPI Kostick), and genogram analysis. The assessment results indicated that the participant experienced severe anxiety, while depression and stress remained within the normal range. The CFIT results showed average intellectual functioning (IQ = 106), whereas the PAPI Kostick assessment revealed personality characteristics marked by a strong preference for structure and certainty, limited flexibility toward change, and a tendency to suppress emotional expression. The intervention consisted of three sessions focusing on anxiety psychoeducation, identification of automatic thoughts, cognitive restructuring based on Beck's Cognitive Model, and the development of adaptive emotional regulation and coping strategies. The intervention resulted in a reduction in anxiety symptoms, improved awareness of the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and physiological responses, and the development of more realistic cognitive appraisals when facing uncertain situations. These findings suggest that the application of Beck's Cognitive Model can effectively reduce anxiety among employees experiencing psychological distress related to occupational demands and changing work conditions.

Abstract

Academic stress in students is caused by the inability to face academic challenges and demands. The level of academic stress in students can be influenced by self-efficacy. However, this is not relevant to the survey results which show that students who have low self-efficacy do not experience academic stress. The existence of this difference, then a study was conducted that aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of self-efficacy on student academic stress. The hypothesis used is that there is an influence of self-efficacy on student academic stress. This study uses quantitative methods with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and using a Likert scale. The respondents used were 45 respondents taken from Surabaya State University students in batches 2021, 2022, and 2023. This study uses inferential statistical tests, namely non-parametric statistical tests with simple regression analysis tests, and uses the help of JASP 0.18.1.0 software. The result of this study is that there is an effect of self efficacy on academic stress.

Abstract

governance challenges, including rapid digital transformation, political polarization, and macroeconomic uncertainty. Despite its growing importance, a significant theoretical gap persists regarding how institutional trust interacts with the psychological well-being of young adults, specifically concerning the future anxiety experienced by Generation Z. This systematic literature review integrates fragmented, interdisciplinary evidence from public administration, political science, developmental psychology, and digital governance to address this disconnect. Adhering strictly to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and the SPAR-4-SLR framework, this study synthesizes empirical and theoretical evidence published between January 2021 and June 2026 to explore how digital governance structures and institutional trust shape the future orientation of young citizens. The thematic synthesis reveals a distinct "double-edged sword" effect within digital governance: while high-quality, transparent e-government services significantly strengthen internal political efficacy and institutional trust, algorithmically curated media environments often catalyze political alienation and institutional skepticism. Crucially, the findings demonstrate that political trust functions as a vital cognitive and emotional buffer, providing psychological resources that mitigate economic, environmental, and career-related future anxiety. By integrating these macro-level and micro-level dynamics, this study constructs an "Institutional–Psychological Nexus Framework" that explains how government stability, empathetic communication, and formal social support systems mediate psychological resilience among Generation Z. Ultimately, this research underscores that contemporary public institutions must evolve beyond mere administrative efficiency, prioritizing transparent, outcome-oriented digital engagement to alleviate youth anxieties and foster long-term democratic resilience.

Abstract

The role of fathers in the development of children is very important, but there are still many children who grow up without fathers and this is called fatherless. This study aims to describe the causes and developmental impacts of the fatherless phenomenon. This research used the literature study method and obtained 25 journals from various sources. This study found that the fatherless phenomenon has an impact on individual development such as cognitive development, language and communication development, socio-emotional development, and moral development. Based on the analysis obtained, socio-emotional development is the most common finding and has impacts such as difficulty building trust in others, difficulty expressing feelings and experiencing identity confusion. The causes of fatherlessness are divorce and patriarchy.

Abstract

Psychological well-being (PWB) has become a major concern among young adults who face various life demands. PWB significantly affects quality of life, academic achievement, and mental health, yet a comprehensive understanding of trends, causes, and its impacts among young adults over the past five years is still limited. This systematic review aims to identify factors influencing Psychological well-being in young adults and analyze its psychological implications from 2021–2026. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on PRISMA 2020, this study conducted a search on PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus. The keywords used included psychological well-being, young adults, influencing factors, and psychological well-being. The results showed that internal factors (Self-esteem, emotion regulation, mindfulness, optimism) and external factors (social support, family conditions, social environment) play a significant role in influencing PWB. Risk factors like loneliness and Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) are found to be negatively related to psychological well-being. Academic stress and early adult life pressures lead to significant psychological, cognitive-motivational, social behavior, well-being, and physiological consequences. These findings highlight the need for psychological interventions, stronger social support, and policies that support early adult mental health.

Abstract

Psychological well-being is a positive mental condition that enables individuals to develop their potential, live meaningfully, and cope with life's challenges and pressures. For students, psychological well-being plays a crucial role in supporting academic success, emotional resilience, and overall educational experiences. This study aims to identify and map the various causal factors influencing students' psychological well-being through a systematic literature review approach. The literature search was conducted using the PICOC framework via Google Scholar with the assistance of Publish or Perish, Zotero, and Covidence applications. Of the 100 articles identified, 18 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using a thematic approach. The results indicate that factors influencing students' psychological well-being can be grouped into four main categories: individual factors (emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, resilience, and motivation), family factors (parenting styles and family support), school/academic factors (school climate, school connectedness, academic stress, and teacher support), and social factors (peer social support and social media). These findings confirm that students' psychological well-being is formed through complex interactions between individual characteristics, family environment, school environment, and broader social contexts.

Abstract

As migrant students, the process of adjustment becomes a crucial element that determines comfort and success in both academic and social life. Javanese students who move to Padang face significant cultural differences, particularly in communication styles, social values, and community structures. These differences often present challenges in the adjustment process, though they do not necessarily lead to failure or discomfort. This study aims to explore how Javanese students perceive and experience the process of self-adjustment within the Minangkabau cultural environment. The research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, involving three participants who have studied in Padang for at least four semesters. The results indicate that based on five themes related to adaptation, Javanese students who have moved to Padang do face certain challenges in adapting to their new environment. These include climate and weather conditions, food preferences, language and communication styles, as well as social interactions and norms. In response to these challenges, the migrant students employ various adaptation strategies, such as self-management, avoiding sources of conflict, keeping busy, and self-motivation. However, not all students adopt the same strategies. They each have their own adaptation strategies, influenced by their life experiences and personalities. The supporting factors in adaptation for migrant students include social support, whether from family, friends, or the community.
