Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the influence of human resource development and administrative governance capabilities on the quality of public services provided by village officials in Tellulimpoe District, Sinjai Regency. High-quality public services are essential for meeting community needs effectively, and both human resource development and governance play crucial roles in achieving this goal. This study employs a quantitative research method, with a sample consisting of 53 village officials selected through purposive sampling. The data collection process was conducted using structured questionnaires, ensuring comprehensive responses from the participants. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques with SPSS version 25 to determine the relationships between the variables. The findings of this study reveal that human resource development has a positive and significant impact on the quality of public services. This suggests that well-trained and skilled village officials are more capable of delivering efficient and effective services to the community. On the other hand, administrative governance capabilities were found to have a negative and insignificant effect on service quality. This indicates that governance-related factors alone may not be sufficient to enhance public service quality without corresponding improvements in human resource capacity. Overall, the study highlights the importance of investing in human resource development to improve public service quality. Future research could explore additional factors that influence service quality, such as leadership, organizational culture, and technological advancements, to provide a more comprehensive understanding of public service improvement strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of asset and liability management on dividend policy and firm value in listed banking companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research utilizes panel data from banking statistics reports and annual IDX statistics. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is employed for data analysis. The findings reveal that asset management has a positive and significant effect on both dividend policy and firm value. This suggests that efficient asset allocation enhances a bank’s ability to distribute dividends and increase its overall valuation. Conversely, liability management exhibits a negative and insignificant effect on dividend policy and firm value. This indicates that an increase in liabilities does not significantly influence a company's dividend distribution or market valuation. These results highlight the importance of effective asset management in shaping financial performance and shareholder value, while liability management requires further evaluation for its role in banking stability. The study provides insights for investors, policymakers, and banking executives in optimizing financial strategies for sustainable growth and profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of rewards, motivation, and emotional intelligence on employee performance. The independent variables studied include rewards (financial and non-financial rewards), motivation (internal and external motivation), and emotional intelligence (the ability to recognize and manage emotions). This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 50 employees from various divisions as respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that rewards, motivation, and emotional intelligence partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The motivation variable has the greatest influence with a β coefficient value of 0.420, followed by rewards with a β of 0.350, and emotional intelligence with a β of 0.300. This shows that appropriate rewards, strong motivation, and the ability to manage emotions effectively can increase employee productivity and work quality. The findings of this study provide practicality for organizational management to take policies that pay attention to these three factors in order to improve employee performance. Emotional intelligence development programs, fair reward provisions, and work motivation improvement strategies need to be considered in human resource management. This study also recommends further research by considering moderating and mediating variables to obtain more comprehensive results.
