Abstract

The capital market is an important indicator of economic development, where stock price movements are influenced by various fundamental factors of a company. This study aims to examine the effect of the current ratio (CR), debt-to-equity ratio (DER), and return on assets (ROA) on stock returns in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020–2024. This study is quantitative, using secondary data collected through annual financial report documentation. The study population included 89 energy sector companies listed on the IDX. The sample selection was conducted using a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 30 companies meeting the research criteria. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with hypothesis testing using SPSS software. The results show that the current ratio has a negative and significant effect on stock returns, the debt-to-equity ratio has no significant effect on stock returns, and return on assets has a positive and significant effect on stock returns in energy sector companies. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.389 indicates that the three independent variables are able to explain the variation in stock return changes by 38.9%.

Abstract

This study investigates in depth the influence of human resource (HR) competency, work discipline, and work motivation on employee performance in Nagari Offices throughout the 2X11 Enam Lingkung District. In the context of the globalization era, an agency's ability to survive and thrive depends heavily on the quality of its human resources. Optimal performance is key to success, and internal factors such as competency, discipline, and work motivation are often the primary determinants. This research was motivated by several performance issues identified in the field, such as employees' lack of understanding of their main tasks and functions (tupoksi), difficulties in measuring Employee Work Targets (SKP), and a decline in attendance and discipline levels. Using a quantitative approach, this study collected primary data through questionnaires distributed to the entire employee population, namely 25 people, using a saturated sampling method. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis and processed using SPSS version 26. The analysis results show that the three independent variables—competence, work discipline, and work motivation—partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. The Adjusted R Square value of 83.1% indicates that this research model is very strong in explaining variations in employee performance, where the remaining 16.9% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of the study. This finding emphasizes the importance of comprehensive HR management, including competency development, discipline enforcement, and motivation enhancement, to achieve optimal organizational performance.

Abstract

This study examines the comparison of the financial performance of PT BRI Tbk with PT BCA Tbk in 2021-2024. The study was conducted using the RGEC method. The method used in this study is a comparative qualitative approach. The data source used by the researcher is a secondary data source using the BEI data collection technique. Hypothesis testing used in this study is the Mann Witney-U analysis of IBM SPSS 23 Statistics. The results of the tests that have been carried out indicate that (1) Risk Profile (NPL) Components. Both BRI and BCA have Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratios that fall into the healthy to very healthy category. However, BCA consistently shows a lower NPL ratio than BRI during the 2021-2024 period, which indicates that BCA's credit risk management is more effective in maintaining the quality of productive assets. (2) Good Corporate Governance (GCG) Components. BRI excels in GCG implementation because it actively participates in external assessments from independent institutions such as CGPI by IICG and SWA Magazine, and obtained a high score (95.31) and the award of “The Most Trusted Company” in 2024. Meanwhile, BCA only conducts self-assessment without actively participating in external evaluations, even though its GCG reporting is carried out routinely and systematically. (3) Earnings Component (ROA). The profitability performance of both banks is classified as very healthy, with BCA's ROA consistently higher than BRI's. This indicates that BCA is more efficient in managing its assets to generate profits, reflecting optimal operational and digitalization strategies. (4) Capital Component (CAR). Both banks demonstrate a very strong level of capitalization with a CAR ratio above 24%. BRI has a slightly higher CAR ratio than BCA, indicating that BRI has a larger capital buffer to cover potential risks, although the trend is slightly decreasing from year to year.
