Abstract

The basic problem wants to discuss is: Do Indonesian reading skill and English knowledge correlate with English reading skill at students of SMAN 1 Pademawu ? The purpose of the research is find the correlation between Indonesian reading skill and English knowledge on English reading skill at students of SMAN 1 Pademawu. The research gave some useful information about students’ Indonesian reading skill and English knowledge on English reading skill. This research also presented the description and the correlation between students’ Indonesian reading skill and English knowledge on English reading skill. The technique of collecting data was by using a test. After the data of the students’ Indonesian reading tests and English knowledge tests and English reading tests collected, the data was statistically computed (SPSS 17.00) to find out the correlation between the two variables. From the tests, it was found out there was not a significant correlation with students’ Indonesian reading skill and English knowledge on English reading skill. It is suggested that to have a good capability in English reading skill, students should have a good ability in Indonesian reading skill and English knowledge.

Abstract

Sharia capital market is a capital market that is related to its activities, regarding issuers, types of securities traded and their trading mechanism conducted based on sharia principles. UINSA Sharia Investment Gallery and UINSA Sharia Trash Bank collaborating to spark AS-SALAM investment products. The AS-SALAM product is a form of investment product for saving capital junk stocks. This research aims to study the innovative strategies adopted by GIS in increasing millennial investors’ interests through the AS-SALAM program. The method used in this research is descriptive method through qualitative research. The results of this study indicate how saving capital stock can increase the interests of millennial investors to start learning to invest. This is because the price of shares is low compared to shares on the outside and only with garbage.

Abstract

This research is motivated by human behavior in meeting their needs. They meet consumption needs by making production efforts at their own capacity while they have the ability to do so. If unable to do so, then the fulfillment of these needs is met through distribution from the production of other parties. In an effort to meet their needs or even desires, humans often do it beyond their proper limits. They do this by violating the integrity and harmony between producers, consumers, and distributors. Even often in the efforts of economic activities, disrupting the stability and sustainability of ecosystems. This study aims to formulate the concept of balance in production, distribution and consumption as an effort to sustainable economic development. The method used is descriptive analysis method with documentation study. The results of the study found that sustainable economic development can be achieved through a balance of economic actors in the production, distribution and consumption sectors.

Abstract

This article discusses intercultural communication in Islamic boarding schools. Islamic boarding school is a religious-based education center which has a dormitory where students stay. They come from various backgrounds. The phenomenon of intercultural communication in there, is interesting to be observed. The purpose of this study is to explain how the patterns, behavior, and barriers of intercultural communication in Islamic boarding schools. This research uses a qualitative method, with a case study approach. The research location is Miftahul Ulum Banyuputih Lumajang, Female Islamic Boarding School. This study collected data by field observations on 8 March to 16 March 2020. In addition, in-depth interviews are also conducted with two religious teachers or administrators and three female students from Madura, Sumatra and Java. Data analysis is performed by reducing, presenting, and formulating conclusions. The results of this study are, first; student maintain mutual ethics in behaving in communication, second; communication patterns between students are generally two-way communication, whereas if student are dealing with Ibu Nyai (caretaker of the Islamic Boarding School) or religious teacher, they will use a one-way communication, third; a striking barrier in the communication process is the semantic or language barrier. To be able to overcome the language problem at the Islamic Boarding School, the students always ask the other students or teachers in Bahasa. This research is expected to be able enrich the research treasure about intercultural communication in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The possibility of social change in the Orang Banjar ideology is illustrated in this study. The people of Banjar demonstrate that farming is to be taught for the next generation, not just for the economies alone Bahuma or right farming. This research is field research with a descriptive-analytical approach. This research found that the philosophics of the traditions of Banjar should thrive wherever they are, with the approach of longitude (honesty, trust and fathanah), superficial (persistent and resilient), tugul (diligent and continuity), paibadah (near to God), batarget (sight and a clear mission). This paper is based on al-Qur'an surah Al-Fath verse 29 and al-A'raaf verse 56 and supports Ashabiyah Ibn Khaldun's theory, which emphasizes that three stages tend to change people's thinking, namely the stage of creation, the stage of enjoyment, and the stage of individuality. Likewise, Arnold Toynbee's theory, which suggests that changes that happen in society, whether they are improvement or failure, can be explained by social concepts that are always interrelated, namely challenges and responses. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how people respond to the Corona Virus pandemic (Covid-19) calmly and not rashly. The focus of this research problem is on how the community's role in implementing an optimistic attitude during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that optimistic behavior displayed by the community is very important, so it must be improved. It is intended that Indonesian people are equally positive to face Covid-19. An optimistic attitude will increase body immunity so that the possibility of corona virus will be low. An optimistic attitude will maintain and enhance immunity. However, if stressed, it will also affect immunity. So that the community is asked to maintain a positive mindset one of which is optimistic and caring or unselfish, as well as following the government's recommendations such as social distancing, avoiding crowds, working from home, worshiping at home and appeals from other governments.

Abstract

Supervision with a religious approach is supervision by a leader to subordinates through the empowerment of religious values to encourage self-supervision of civil servants to clean and free of deception. And to become a supervisor, one must have the qualification and competency standards as defined in Minister of Education Regulation No. 12 of 2007 concerning standard school inspections. In addition, the task of supervision also requires ethical or regulatory resources as a guide to maintain the dignity and quality of the school so that no party is harmed.

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, khususnya teknologi informasi, penggunaan internet dalam pendidikan terus berkembang. E-leraning merupakan bentuk pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan perangkat- elektronik baik yang menggunakan akses internet maupun tidak. Di era sekarang ini atau yang dikenal dengan era 4.0 setiap orang dituntut untuk melek digitalisasi lebih-lebih yang menggunakan akses internet. Dalam dunia pendidikan sendiri sudah mulai banyak dikenal beberapa aplikasi/system yang digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan akses internet. Baru-baru ini di dunia khususnya di Indonesia dihebohkan dengan adanya penyebaran wabah virus corona. Dalam dunia pendidikan sendiri salah satu kebijkan yang sangat kita rasakan adalah adanya pemberlakuan belajar dirumah bagi siswa dari semua tingkatan di seluruh Indonesia, tentu sebagai pendidik harus berperan aktif dan inovatif didalam menyikapi kebijakan tersebut. Banyak sekali media pembelajaran online yang bisa dimanfaatkan oleh seorang pendidik untuk memantau dan mengkontrol pembelajaran siswa dirumah, salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan whatshapp (WA) sebagai media untuk pembelajaran jarak jauh siswa. Dalam tulisan ini akan kita coba untuk menguraiakan seberapa manfaat WA dalam mendukung pemebelajaran jarak jauh siswa, kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dan bagaimana keuntungan/keunggulannya.
