Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept, implementation, and challenges of inclusive Islamic religious education (PAI) through a literature study approach. Inclusive education is one of the main principles in the Indonesian education system to ensure the rights of every child, including children with special needs, in obtaining religious education. This research adopts a descriptive-analytical literature study method by reviewing books, scientific journals, and policy documents. The results show that inclusive PAI education still faces challenges in the form of a lack of trained human resources, limited facilities, and an adaptive curriculum. Therefore, this study recommends teacher training, infrastructure provision, and curriculum revision to be more responsive to student diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe in depth the education model of Rumah Tahfidz Abubakar Ash-Shidiq Bandung through fact-finding about the education system applied. This qualitative research uses literature and field study methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, literature studies and documentation studies. The results showed that the educational model of Rumah Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq Bandung applies a special approach that focuses on strengthening the memorization of the Qur'an, understanding and instilling Islamic values. The learning process is carried out using the intensive muraja'ah method, imitating the reading style of Sheikh Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy. This educational model has unique characteristics characterized by an emphasis on several key components, such as an integrated curriculum, a flexible learning structure, and qualified teachers and management that focuses on the well-being of teachers and the smooth operation of learning. This education model shows the institution's efforts to ensure accessibility and optimal quality of education for all students.

Abstract

The development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum is a crucial aspect of shaping students' character and morals in the modern era. This study aims to identify the fundamental principles underlying the development of the PAI curriculum, as well as the challenges faced during its implementation. A qualitative method using a literature review approach was employed, analyzing relevant literature on curriculum, education, and PAI practices. The findings indicate that principles such as relevance, integration, connection, and sustainability are essential foundations for designing an effective curriculum. Additionally, challenges such as educator resistance, lack of resources, and socio-cultural changes were identified as barriers to curriculum development. Recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of the PAI curriculum include training for educators, collaboration with stakeholders, and regular evaluation of the curriculum. By understanding these principles and challenges, it is hoped that the development of the PAI curriculum can positively contribute to creating a generation of character and moral integrity, in line with Islamic values in a rapidly evolving global context.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of inquiry-based learning strategies at STAI UISU Pematangsiantar and the obstacles faced by lecturers and students in its implementation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The findings indicate that the implementation of inquiry-based learning enhances student engagement and critical thinking skills. However, lecturers face challenges in designing effective inquiry activities, and students sometimes feel uncomfortable with this approach. Identified barriers include a lack of experience among lecturers, time constraints, and student adaptation to active learning methods. This study recommends training for lecturers and orientation for students to support the implementation of this strategy. With appropriate support, inquiry-based learning is expected to enhance the quality of education at STAI UISU Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Classroom Action Research (CAR) is a research approach designed to improve teaching practices through systematic reflection and action. This article explores the main characteristics of CAR, including its collaborative, reflective, data-driven nature, and structured research cycle. By involving teachers, peers, and students in the research process, CAR creates an inclusive learning environment that is responsive to student needs. The reflection process enables teachers to evaluate their teaching practices and make adjustments based on the collected data. The primary goal of CAR is to enhance the overall quality of learning. By gaining a deeper understanding of CAR characteristics, it is hoped that teachers can implement more effective and innovative teaching strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in Class X of MAS Al-Washliyah 67 Pematangsiantar. PBL is a student-centered learning model that encourages students to solve real-world problems as a way to develop their critical thinking and collaborative skills. The study employed a qualitative library research method to gather relevant information on PBL's effectiveness. The findings show that PBL fosters active student engagement, improves problem-solving abilities, and promotes cooperation among students. However, several challenges were identified, including limited student research skills, unequal participation, and inadequate technological resources. The study concludes that while PBL has potential, its success depends on addressing these barriers and providing sufficient support for both teachers and students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers regarding the importance of character education in learning at SMP Swasta Islam Proyek UISU Siantar. Using a descriptive qualitative method, in-depth interviews and observations were conducted with two PAI teachers to understand how they integrate character values into daily learning activities. The findings show that both PAI teachers have a positive view of character education, considering it an integral part of Islamic education. However, they also face challenges such as limited time and suboptimal parental support. This study recommends enhancing collaboration between teachers, schools, and parents to strengthen students' character education.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Islamic Jurisprudence among 10th-grade students at MAS Ibnu Sina Pematangsiantar by using the scientific method. The research method employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, only 34% of students achieved the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC), while after the first cycle, this number increased to 65%, and in the second cycle reached 87%. The application of the scientific method not only enhances learning outcomes but also increases student engagement and involvement in the learning process. This research is expected to provide a positive contribution to the development of teaching methods in Islamic education.
