Abstract

This research identified five types of errors made by students in solving mathematical problems about spatial figures, namely errors in reading the problem, errors in understanding the problem, errors in problem transformation, process skills errors, and errors in writing the final answer. The aim of this research is to describe the types of errors and the number of students who make each type of error. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with test question sheet instruments and collects data through documentation. The main data source is 21 fifth grade students and their answers from the 2023 school year. The research results show that 14.2% of students made mistakes in reading the questions, 19.0% of students made mistakes in understanding the problems, 15.4% of students made mistakes in problem transformation, 46.4% of students made process skills errors, and 57.1% of students made errors in writing the final answer. These types of errors reflect the various problems students face in solving mathematical problems on geometric material.

Abstract

Pineapple business in Indonesia has such high potential, so it is very suitable for pineapple business actors and farmers in Indonesia. Designing strategies and marketing methods for pineapple products is very important in increasing product sales. To meet public demand for pineapples, marketing activities are needed that can distribute the fruit from producers to consumers. Where marketing is essentially the flow of goods from producers to consumers. Marketing activities are an important factor that will determine the success of an entrepreneur. This study uses a qualitative research method by conducting a case study on the object being studied. The qualitative research method is a research method based on natural philosophy (experiment) where the researcher as an instrument, data collection techniques and data analysis are inductive/qualitative and emphasize meaning. Word of mouth marketing is a strategy that is more likely to be used by farmers in Peniraman village, because their customers come to their homes more so they can directly see the products they are going to buy. That's where farmers can run 4P marketing (product, price, place, promotion) by explaining the products they are going to sell and also bargaining for prices. Apart from that, Peniraman Village farmers also do marketing through earned media by creating Instagram stories via WhatsApp, Facebook.

Abstract

Teachers still use the conventional approach (lectures) and lack the use of learning media used in the teaching and learning process. This results in students being less motivated to learn so that there are still many students who are not fluent in reading, some are not paying attention to the teacher when explaining, talking to their classmates, ignoring when the teacher tells them to do assignments. The method used in this research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This research provides a precise description and explanation of the conditions or symptoms encountered. Data collection technique. The data collection technique used in this research is Document Study. Characteristics of pictorial media: In the first characteristic, the program is equipped with a 2D animation application which can create animated cartoons, interactive animations, games, company profiles, presentations, video clips, movies, web animations and other applications as many as 15 articles out of the 20 articles that have been analyzed, this is shows that the presentation is 75% fulfilled regarding these characteristics. The second characteristic is that the image media program is equipped with interactive buttons with movies or certain objects. 12 articles out of the 20 articles that have been analyzed, show a 60% presentation regarding these characteristics. The third characteristic is that the image media is equipped with a program that can make changes in color transparency, 8 of the 20 articles analyzed showed a percentage of 40% regarding this characteristic. Furthermore, there is a fourth characteristic, namely image media equipped with animation that can follow a predetermined path. The researchers got 11 out of 20 articles which showed a percentage of 55% regarding this characteristic. Furthermore, finally, there are characteristics of flash programs that are equipped with vector-based animation which has flexibility in creating vector objects, 20 of the 20 articles that have been analyzed, this shows that the percentage is 100% fulfilled regarding these characteristics.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out reasons behind common misinterpretation of textual entailment among students in educational settings, focusing particularly on how basic textual concepts impact students' ability to comprehend and analyze texts accurately. The study was carried out at SMA Alam Lampung using twelfth-grade students as participants. It used a qualitative research design and employed saturation sampling procedures to choose its sample. This study aims to explore students' understanding and interpretation skills regarding textual entailment by using questionnaires and interviews as the main data gathering techniques. The results show a significant difference in students' ability to correctly grasp texts and hypotheses, indicating a common misinterpretation of textual entailment principles. Out of 60 replies gathered from 10 questions answered by 6 students each, only 4 solutions adhered to the rules of textual entailment. The other 56 responses showed a misunderstanding of the connection between Text and Hypotheses. The research explores the psycholinguistic and cognitive processes that lead to misconceptions, highlighting the importance of lexical access and comprehending complicated sentence patterns in making valid inferences from texts. It also recognizes the significance of prior knowledge in aiding text understanding and analysis. These results imply that successful educational approaches should go beyond just improving linguistic abilities. They should use tactics designed to help pupils overcome psycholinguistic and cognitive obstacles, so improving their interpretive skills. This study suggests a thorough educational method that combines language skills enhancement with specific tactics to address the psycholinguistic and cognitive barriers affecting students' understanding and interpretation of texts.

Abstract

This study examines students’ challenges in speaking English and evaluates the effectiveness of drama as a learning medium to improve speaking skills. A mixed-methods research design was employed, combining qualitative interviews and quantitative pretest and posttest assessments to measure the impact of drama-based learning. Conducted at SMA Al Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung, the research involved 20 students participating in drama sessions focused on monologue storytelling. The interviews revealed common difficulties such as pronunciation errors, grammatical issues, limited vocabulary, low self-confidence, and anxiety. Statistical analyses using SPSS confirmed normality in pretest and posttest data (p > 0.05) and showed a significant improvement in speaking skills after the intervention (Sig = 0.000, α = 0.05). A paired sample t-test indicated a mean difference (t-count = 11.856), surpassing the critical t-value (t-table = 2.093), supporting the alternative hypothesis (Ha). These findings highlight drama's effectiveness in enhancing students' speaking proficiency and contribute to the literature by demonstrating drama's potential in overcoming language learning challenges, offering valuable insights for educators.
