Abstract

This study examines the megibung tradition among the Muslim community in Kediri Village, Tabanan Regency, Bali, as a manifestation of Qur’anic values within local culture. The findings show that the Muslim minority community integrates values such as brotherhood (ukhuwah), equality (musâwâh), mutual cooperation (ta‘awun), gratitude, and social harmony (tasâmuḥ) into the communal dining tradition. The study highlights Islam’s capacity for cultural adaptation without compromising essential religious teachings. Using a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach, the study draws on Qur’anic verses, tafsir literature, academic references, and sociological studies on Balinese culture and megibung. The data were analyzed through thematic exegesis (tafsīr mawḍū‘ī) to explore the relationship between sacred texts and cultural practices. The findings support Amin al-Khulî’s view of the Qur’an as a “living text” and reinforce Qur’anic reception theory by showing how sacred values are internalized in collective daily life. Unlike previous studies emphasizing formal legal aspects or cultural syncretism, this research specifically examines megibung as a performative reception of Qur’anic messages within the framework of Living Qur’an studies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of happiness in the Qur'an through a thematic interpretation (tafsîr mawḍû‘î) approach and compare it with the perspectives of Islamic and Western philosophy. This research employs a qualitative library research method using primary sources from Qur'anic verses related to happiness, supported by classical and contemporary Qur'anic commentaries, Hadith literature, works on Islamic philosophy, and other relevant scholarly references. The data were analyzed through the identification and classification of Qur'anic verses based on the concepts of al-farâḥ, al-falâḥ, and al-fawz, followed by interpretative analysis and conceptual synthesis. The findings reveal that the Qur'anic concept of happiness is holistic and transcendental, encompassing spiritual, moral, psychological, social, and eschatological dimensions. Al-farâḥ represents emotional happiness grounded in gratitude and moderation, al-falâḥ refers to success attained through faith, righteous deeds, and piety, while al-fawz denotes the highest form of happiness through attaining Allah's pleasure and eternal salvation in the Hereafter. These findings are consistent with the views of al-Fârâbî, al-Ghazâlî, and Ibn Miskawayh, who regarded happiness as the ultimate goal of human life through spiritual purification and moral excellence. Unlike Western perspectives that primarily emphasize rational, psychological, and moral aspects, the Qur'an presents happiness as the balance between worldly life and the Hereafter, culminating in Allah's pleasure and eternal success.

Abstract

The increasing air traffic growth in the Jakarta Flight Information Region (FIR) demands efficiency and reliability of aviation communication systems. Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) is a data-based communication system implemented at the Jakarta Air Traffic Service Center (JATSC) to reduce radio frequency congestion and improve service efficiency. However, the use of CPDLC may affect Air Traffic Controller (ATC) workload, particularly in managing data messages simultaneously with voice communication and traffic surveillance. This study aims to analyze ATC workload in the use of CPDLC at JATSC West Sector and identify the influencing factors. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method with an associative approach. Mental workload measurement is conducted using the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) method, while operational data is analyzed based on traffic volume and CPDLC usage frequency in the West Sector. The analysis results are expected to provide an overview of ATC workload levels and the influence of CPDLC usage on workload. This research is also expected to contribute to the development of operational procedures and human resource management within the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) environment to enhance safety and efficiency of air traffic services in the Jakarta FIR.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social meaning of public sentiment toward Indonesian presidential candidate pair number 02, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, on Twitter (X) during the 2024 presidential election campaign using Berger and Luckmann’s Social Construction Theory. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a netnographic method to examine online interactions and expressions of public sentiment in the digital environment. Data were collected through observation and documentation of purposively selected Twitter posts and analyzed using Critical Discourse Analysis. The findings show that public sentiment consisted of three forms: positive, negative, and neutral, manifested through support, criticism, satire, humor, and news related to the “Goyang Gemoy” phenomenon. These expressions demonstrate how political discourse was constructed and reproduced through interactions among social media users during the campaign. The study concludes that Twitter functions as a space for social construction, where users not only express political opinions but also collectively shape social meanings, political discourse, and public perceptions of candidate pair number 02. Social media plays an important role in shaping political meanings in contemporary society.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the effect of ATS Inter-facility Data Communication (AIDC) messages in an effort to reduce the workload of Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) at the ACC Upper Surabaya Unit, Airnav MATSC Branch. AIDC serves as a means of exchanging flight information between different ATC systems to support smooth coordination. However, failures in AIDC message transmission at ACC Upper Surabaya still occur, requiring coordination to be shifted to manual methods (voice coordination), which potentially increases the ATC workload. This study employed a quantitative method with a Likert-scale questionnaire as the data collection technique. The data were analyzed through validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, linearity tests, hypothesis testing (t-test), determination tests, and simple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 25.0. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using statistical methods such as Pearson Product Moment correlation and linear regression. The results showed that the Undelivered AIDC Message variable (X) had a mean value of 55.07, while the ATC Workload variable (Y) had a mean value of 60.23. The regression equation obtained was Y = 10.819 + 0.897X, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.681, indicating that Undelivered AIDC Messages contributed 68.1% to the variation in ATC Workload, while the remaining 31.9% was influenced by other factors outside this study. Thus, it can be concluded that undelivered AIDC messages have a positive and significant effect on ATC workload at ACC Upper Surabaya MATSC.
