Abstract

Contemporary hermeneutical approaches to Quranic interpretation have emerged as a dynamic response to the evolving intellectual and social contexts faced by Muslim societies worldwide. This study employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing literature review and library research, to critically examine how modern hermeneutics seeks to bridge the gap between traditional exegesis (tafsir) and the demands of present-day contexts. The analysis highlights that while classical tafsir—rooted in linguistic, historical, and jurisprudential traditions—remains foundational, it often struggles to address contemporary issues such as gender justice, pluralism, and socio-political change. Modern hermeneutical scholars, including Fazlur Rahman and Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd, have introduced contextual and critical frameworks that emphasize the socio-historical background of revelation, the dialogical relationship between text and reader, and the necessity of interpreting the Qur’an in light of current realities. This study finds that the integration of hermeneutical methods enables a more inclusive and adaptive interpretation, fostering relevance without undermining textual integrity. However, it also identifies ongoing debates regarding the legitimacy, boundaries, and potential risks of such approaches, particularly concerning the authority of traditional scholarship. Ultimately, the research demonstrates that contemporary hermeneutics, by engaging both tradition and modernity, offers a promising paradigm for meaningful Quranic interpretation, capable of addressing the complexities of modern Muslim life while maintaining fidelity to the sacred text. This synthesis contributes to the ongoing discourse on Islamic thought, suggesting pathways for future interpretive scholarship.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekripsikan pengalaman proses resosialisasi yang dialami oleh mantan warga binaan Rumah Tahanan Kelas IIB Siak setelah menjalani masa pidana. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari mantan warga binaan, petugas pemasyarakatan, keluarga, dan tokoh masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses resosialisasi melibatkan dua bentuk pembinaan utama, yaitu Pembinaan kepribadian mencakup kegiatan keagamaan dan moral yang mampu meningkatkan kesadaran spiritual warga binaan, sementara pembinaan kemandirian berupa pelatihan keterampilan kerja bertujuan membekali mereka untuk hidup mandiri setelah bebas. Dukungan keluarga menjadi faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan reintegrasi sosial, sedangkan stigma masyarakat dan kondisi overkapasitas rutan menjadi hambatan yang signifikan. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teori kontrol sosial Travis Hirschi, yang menekankan pentingnya keterikatan sosial (attachment), keterlibatan dalam kegiatan positif (involvement), komitmen terhadap tujuan hidup (commitment), dan kepercayaan terhadap nilai-nilai sosial (belief). Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya peningkatan program pembinaan yang berkelanjutan serta keterlibatan masyarakat secara inklusif dalam mendukung proses reintegrasi mantan warga binaan.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between self-efficacy and coping stress among working students at University X. Using a quantitative research design, the data analysis was carried out through the Pearson Product Moment correlation. The study involved 95 active students who are balancing both work and studies at University X in Surabaya. The results of the analysis revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of 0.731 (r = 0.731). These findings indicate a strong positive correlation between self-efficacy and coping stress, meaning that as self-efficacy increases, students’ ability to manage stress improves. This suggests that students with higher confidence in their capabilities are more effective in using coping strategies to deal with the pressures of both work and academic responsibilities. The study emphasizes the importance of enhancing self-efficacy as a means of helping working students manage stress, highlighting the critical role of personal belief in overcoming challenges in both academic and work settings. The significant relationship found in this study contributes to understanding how self-efficacy can serve as a vital factor in developing better stress management strategies among working students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors contributing to the low public awareness of education in Mulyosari Village, Pagerwojo District, Tulungagung Regency. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies involving parents, school-aged children, and community leaders. The findings indicate that public awareness of education remains relatively low, despite a conceptual understanding of its importance. The primary contributing factors include limited family economic conditions , lack of intrinsic motivation from children to learn , insufficient parental support , the influence of peers and a social environment that prioritizes work , cultural stigma and gender stereotypes that deem education unimportant, especially for females , and the phenomenon of early marriage. Although the village government has made efforts such as providing assistance and conducting socialization , these complex obstacles necessitate a holistic and sustainable approach to change mindsets and increase educational participation in the village.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tantangan fonologis yang dihadapi oleh penutur bahasa asing dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) di Balai Bahasa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan dua narasumber utama yang berasal dari Myanmar dan Jepang-Pakistan yang telah mengikuti program BIPA selama delapan bulan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur yang fokus pada kesulitan pelafalan bunyi vokal dan konsonan dalam bahasa Indonesia.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan fonologis utama yang dihadapi pemelajar BIPA meliputi kesulitan dalam melafalkan bunyi konsonan tertentu seperti /r/, /j/, /z/, /ng/, dan /ny/. Narasumber dari Myanmar mengalami kesulitan pada bunyi /j/, /z/, dan /r/, sementara narasumber dari Jepang-Pakistan menghadapi tantangan pada bunyi /r/, /ng/, dan /ny/. Kesalahan fonologis yang ditemukan berupa substitusi fonem, delesi fonem, adisi fonem, distorsi fonem, dan kesalahan suprasegmental.Penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa perbedaan sistem fonologi antara bahasa ibu (L1) dan bahasa Indonesia (L2) menjadi faktor utama penyebab kesulitan pelafalan. Interferensi fonologis dari bahasa ibu menyebabkan kesalahan pelafalan yang berulang dan mempengaruhi efektivitas komunikasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pembelajar sering mengalami kesalahpahaman dalam komunikasi dengan penutur asli karena pelafalan yang tidak tepat.Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan strategi pengajaran fonologi yang lebih efektif dalam program BIPA, termasuk penggunaan pendekatan fonetik artikulatoris, latihan intensif dengan feedback visual-auditif, dan integrasi praktik percakapan otentik. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan kurikulum BIPA yang lebih memperhatikan kebutuhan fonetik pemelajar dari berbagai latar belakang bahasa.
