Abstract

The specter of history lessons as very boring lessons is no longer a secret. Although this subject has a vital role in forming a generation of a cultured, knowledgeable, and highly competitive nation, the proof is that almost everyone gets the same boredom when studying it. Especially if this lesson is delivered with a conventional approach that tends to place the teacher as the center of learning with a one-way communication. Educational tours to museums can actually be the answer to optimizing history learning, where students become more active because they interact directly with their surroundings and the experiences of their personnel. Educational tours to the Pancasila Sakti Museum with a community education method approach are an effort to improve the understanding of national history. It can be concluded that educational tours to museums are able to provide enrichment and exploration of a more holistic understanding of national history. In addition, physical visualization and direct contact with all historical evidence in the museum are also able to create a sense of satisfaction and stability of historical experience that is more interesting, unique, and memorable. On the other hand, embedding additional materials such as Profession and Aspiration Class and Cultural Class is able to enrich the essence of educational tourism so that the orphanage children not only gain an understanding of the nation's history but also gain a strengthening of belief in the importance of aspiring, continuous learning, and building quality personality through ethical Indonesian language culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of spiritual values derived from QS Al-‘Alaq verses 1–5 into science education in the era of Society 5.0. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. A total of 48 students were selected purposively as research subjects. The findings revealed that 80.7% of students understood QS Al-‘Alaq 1–5 as a spiritual foundation for science learning, and 87.0% were aware of their role as khalifah (stewards of the Earth). A high level of enthusiasm (86.5%) was shown in connecting Qur’anic verses with scientific concepts, although understanding of Society 5.0 remained limited (74.0%). The developed teaching module fostered transformative learning by integrating science, technology, and religious values. Technical Triangulation results indicated a strong understanding of QS Al-‘Alaq (80.7%) and a high level of motivation to study science (87.0%). Enthusiasm for integrating the Qur’an with science was high (86.5%), supported by a project-based learning approach. Understanding of Society 5.0 needs to be further enhanced. Overall, students demonstrated highly positive attitudes toward sustainable and religious-based learning (88.5%), with 85.4% expressing readiness to apply Islamic-based science. In conclusion, the integration of values from QS Al-‘Alaq into science education strengthens students’ awareness and positions science as a pathway to sustainable education.

Abstract

Adolescence is a vital stage of development involving rapid physical and psychological changes that increase nutritional demands. Iron-deficiency anaemia is a widespread health problem among Indonesian teenagers, negatively affecting concentration, energy levels, and immune function. Equally important is adolescents’ awareness of their blood group, which is critical for emergency medical treatment but often overlooked. Education targeting these issues is necessary to improve adolescent health outcomes. Methods: This community program at SMA Dr. Soetomo Surabaya included interactive educational sessions led by health experts and university students. Various learning tools such as videos, posters, and leaflets were used. Students’ knowledge was measured using questionnaires before and after the sessions. Results: The intervention led to notable improvements in students’ understanding of anaemia’s causes, symptoms, and prevention strategies. Pre-test to post-test analysis revealed a significant increase in anaemia knowlede, with average scores improving from 60% to 85%. Awareness about blood groups (ABO and Rh) also increased, with knowledge scores rising from 55% to 80%. This was accompanied by increased motivation to adopt healthier habits and learn their blood group. Formation of student health teams and use of digital platforms supported ongoing health promotion. Conclusion: The program successfully enhanced adolescents’ knowledge and health awareness. Engaging, school-based education with peer participation can foster long-term positive behavior changes. Expansion of such programs is recommended for sustained impact.

Abstract

The Social Security Administering Body for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) plays a strategic role in providing protection for workers in the informal sector, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that are vulnerable to work-related risks. However, the level of understanding and participation of MSME actors in this program remains low. This community service activity aims to increase literacy and awareness among MSME actors within the Sahabat UMKM Pamulang Community (SUP) in the Pamulang District, South Tangerang City, regarding the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program. The implementation method was carried out through interactive socialization that included material presentation, group discussions, and direct question-and-answer sessions with participants. The material presented covered the introduction of the Old Age Security (JHT), Work Accident Security (JKK), Death Security (JKM) programs, and the procedures for registering as an independent participant. The results of this activity showed an increase in the interest of MSME actors to become independent participants in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. This activity demonstrates that a communicative and community-based socialization approach is effective in increasing social security literacy among MSME actors. It is expected that follow-up activities can be conducted regularly with the support of related institutions to expand the coverage of employment protection for the informal sector.

Abstract

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) often experience significant barriers in social interaction and verbal communication. This community service program aimed to explore the effectiveness of adaptive storytelling as a communication medium for children with ASD at TK Tunas Bhakti. The program engaged three children aged 6–7 years through four storytelling sessions using varied media, including real fruits, animated videos, and hand puppets. Activities were designed based on each child’s special interests and emotional readiness, emphasizing narrative participation and expression. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation before and after the sessions. The results showed a marked improvement across multiple indicators: the frequency of initiating speech increased from rare (0–1 times/week) to daily occurrences; responses became more relevant and timely; and story recall shifted from fragmented to sequential and detailed. Children demonstrated greater enthusiasm, expressive intonation, and peer engagement, indicating improved confidence and social interaction. The adaptive nature of the storytelling—tailored to sensory and emotional needs—significantly enhanced communicative effectiveness. The approach not only supported language development but also fostered empathy and emotional connection. This study highlights the potential of adaptive storytelling as both an educational and psychosocial intervention strategy in inclusive early childhood education. Future implementations are encouraged to involve larger participant groups and longer intervention periods to broaden impact.
