Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the values of religious harmony in the village of Mopuya. This paper, becomes a common reference as social capital, and can sustainably be the main foundation or foundation in caring for the harmony of inter-religious dialogue relations in Mopuya village, Bolaang Mongondouw. Through the relation of religious harmony, the social cohesion of the Mopuya community has so far been maintained. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with: village government, religious leaders, and elements of community institutions as representatives of each religion. The results of the analysis of the data obtained show that tolerance of religious harmony that has been applied so far, can be used as the main foundation of inter-religious dialogue relations in Mopuya village. Referring to the values of tolerance which is a pattern of community life as social capital, the Mopuya community is able to offer patterns of inter-religious relations that prioritize relational values. The relationship between religion that has been preserved by the Mopuya villagers shows a social relationship that maintains a peaceful and respectful pluralism.

Abstract

His study aims to analyze the values of character education in the folklore of Sampuraga that developed in the Mandailng Natal community. This research uses descriptive analytical method, which is a method that is as clear as possible about the object under study, as well as describing the data as a whole, systematically, and accurately. The analysis is carried out using the theoretical basis used, then analyzed and interpreted in accordance with the study of theory so that the results of the research will be able to describe the problems studied objectively, systematically based on the theories the authors use. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that first, the principle of an objective approach in the process of applying the elements that make up the literary work itself, such as plot, setting, characterization, language style, and perspective. An objective approach to Sampuraga Folklore. Second, there are four values of character education in the folklore of Sampuraga and Nasondang Ngilong-Ilong, namely the value of religious character education, compassion, hard work, and honesty.

Abstract

The Merenden Tedong ritual is performed by the Toraja Mamasa tribe in Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi up to now. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merenden Tedong ritual of the Mamasa community, and then examine the spiritual values contained therein as a solution to community conflict. The motive for doing this research is the threat of social conflict in the community that can cause social disharmony. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data obtained through the method of observation, interviews, and analysis. Interviews were conducted with traditional leaders, community leaders, village government and Merenden Tedong ritual practitioners. This research resulted in the following findings: the implementation of the Merenden Tedong ritual in Mamasa included stages: mediation, deliberation, shaking hands and praying, and eating together. While the spiritual values of the Merenden Tedong ritual include: Ma’bisara, Me’renden Tedong, Sitayuk sikamasei Sirande maya-maya, Mesa Kada di Patuo, patang Kada di Pomate and Sipapada. The spiritual values of the Merenden Tedong ritual are a solution to the Mamasa community's conflict and also serves to build peace.

Abstract

Indonesian citizens in the border of Indonesia and Timor Leste, particularly in Humusu-Wini village, NTT and the Sakato-Nepane district Oecusse, East Timor. Although these two areas are separated by different status of the country, the communities there always interact and visit each other. This research aims to explain local wisdom which motivates social harmony in the Indonesian border community of Timor Leste. To achieve these objectives, this study prioritizes methods such as participant-observation or direct participatory observation, interviews, literature review, and documents. The conclusions in Humusu Wini village, Insana Utara district, East Nusa Tenggara. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the local wisdom "Doa Arwah" as one of the ties of kinship between citizens who are now in different countries or across countries, so as to create social harmony

Abstract

This study analyse Indonesia's cultural diplomacy through inter-state religious dialogue. Specifically, this study aims to find out the background of Indonesian cultural diplomacy, bilateral dialogue between religions and cultures and Indonesian bilateral diplomacy. Diplomacy is a way, with certain manners, that is used by a country to achieve the country's national interests in relations with other countries or with the international community. In the context of the former effectiveness of diplomacy, it requires political or economic support or a real economic, political, and military power, but now we know what is called cultural diplomacy, which in fact economic, political and military forces in certain cases is "counter productive". Bilateral dialogue is a conversation between two countries or more in an international discussion forum to improve cooperative relations in the economic, social, political, cultural and religious fields in the framework of creating a harmonious and peaceful religious life in the world including overcoming various global issues indicated threatening world security. Cultural diplomacy is part of public diplomacy (soft power diplomacy) with economic and cultural cooperation. Soft Power is the ability to get what you want by inviting and attracting the sympathy of others.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to see how changes occur in the rituals of death in Toraja specifically in Gandangbatu. The intended death ritual is the Ma'bulle Tomate ritual. This Ma'bulle Tomate ritual is one of the rituals contained in Rambu Solo. The method used is a qualitative research method with interview and observation techniques. The Ma'bulle Tomate ritual in Gandangbatu has experienced a clear shift in its practice, which in the past in Aluk Todolo beliefs was accompanied by badong, now replaced by singing. the author found that the meaning of badong in Aluk Todolo is as a medium to express the social status of the dead in society, the completeness of the ritual of his death, prayer requests to Puang Matua so that the deceased get a decent place in puya (a place of waiting) and those who live long life and blessed by Puang Matua. While the meaning of the song in Ma'bulle Tomate is the Christian hymn is just a worship of God and comfort to the family. Through the theoretical approach of Massimo Rosati in the book 'Ritual and Sacred' finally can understand and discover how changes occur in the Ma'bulle Tomate Ritual and the meaning of badong in Aluk Todolo before the entry of Christianity in Gandangbatu.

Abstract

The aims of this paper is to explain the use of high heels as an agency for a woman's body. Agency context refers to pain in the body but pain is perceived as something positive. In this paper, the method used is a literature review by reviewing writings related to the use of high heels. The findings in this paper that women experience body image disturbance or anxiety because they feel themselves are not beautiful or not attractive. The use of high heels, makes women more attractive and more confident, on the other hand the use of high heels actually makes women feel pain and discomfort. However, for the achievement of beauty standards, women voluntarily allow their bodies to experience pain. However, the agency's willingness to beauty standards here is meaningless without filtering and directly accepted. Instead women keep negotiating with themselves so as to make a decision why use high heels.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the life values of the Balinese "Menyama Braya", as one of the values of "local wisdom" (local wisdom), which will be a common reference as social capital, and can sustainably become the main foundation or foundation in maintain harmony in inter-religious dialogue relations in the village of Dalung, Bali. Through the concept of life "braving", the social cohesion of the Dalung community so far has been maintained. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with: village government, religious leaders, and elements of community institutions as representatives of each religion. Finally, the results of the analysis of the data obtained show that "matching braya" can be used as the main foundation of inter-religious dialogue relations in the village of Dalung. By referring to the values of local wisdom which are the heritage of the ancestors as social capital, the Dalung people are able to offer patterns of inter-religious relations that promote relational dialogue and share humanist civilization values. This study aims to examine other social values, which are considered as supporting instruments of the concept of "equalizing braya", especially in building inter-religious dialogue relations to penetrate the boundaries of differences.

Abstract

The curriculum is an instrument to run an education system to be more targeted in accordance with what is aspired in national education. The development of community life that is very dynamic and can even happen quickly requires the development of the curriculum must also be able to adjust to the development of this social life. Indonesia is known as a multicultural country that consists of diverse tribes and religions that inhabit this region. The diversity of cultural patterns in ethnicity and religion can certainly be a trigger for friction between each of these groups. To overcome this, the world of education in facing this challenge needs to think about how curriculum development that leads to harmony that responds to this multicultural situation. Curriculum development cannot be separated from several instruments, namely the objective component, affective domain, and psychomotor domain. Likewise in the multicultural-based Islamic religious education curriculum which must also refer to these domains despite having the goal of helping to create a life that is tolerant of the multicultural life of Indonesian people. The research method used in this research is the literature study method by examining several literature studies in the form of books, journals, archives and other documentation about the curriculum which can then be analyzed for inclusion in multicultural-based Islamic religious education curriculum development.

Abstract

This paper is about strategies for how to process coffee in the coffee farming system in Temas Mumanang Village, Permata District, Bener Meriah Regency, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province. This paper thoroughly and in-depth describes the ways of planting and maintaining coffee plants carried out from the first period to the fourth period, starting from making coffee seeds, planting coffee seeds, maintaining coffee plants, and harvesting and handling post-harvest (processing). The whole period has special ways that are the local wisdom of Gayo coffee farmers. This local wisdom is used as a reference to the farming system which until now is able to make the Gayo High Region as a coffee producer with Robusta and Arabica Coffee varieties to foreign countries.
