Core Subject : Education,
Journal of Action Research in Education (JARE) is concerned with exploring the dialogue between research and practice in educational settings. The considerable increase in interest in action research in recent years has been accompanied by the development of a number of different approaches: for example, to promote reflective practice; professional development; empowerment; understanding of tacit professional knowledge; curriculum development; individual, institutional and community change; and development of democratic management and administration. Proponents of all these share the common aim of ending the dislocation of research from practice, an aim which links them with those involved in participatory research and action inquiry. This journal publishes accounts of a range of action research and related studies, in education and across the professions, with the aim of making their outcomes widely available and exemplifying the variety of possible styles of reporting. It aims to establish and maintain a review of the literature of action research. It also provides a forum for dialogue on the methodological and epistemological issues, enabling different approaches to be subjected to critical reflection and analysis.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of improving the learning outcomes of IPAS subjects for IV grade students at Keleyan 2 Primary School through the implementation of the NHT learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this classroom action research were fourth-grade students at Keleyan 2 Primary School, totaling 24 students. The data sources were from teachers and students. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, written tests, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the NHT learning model can improve the learning outcomes of IPAS subjects for fourth-grade students at SDN Keleyan 2, starting from the pre-cycle stage, cycle I, and cycle II. The learning outcomes in the pre-cycle percentage of 20.83%. Student learning outcomes improved in cycle I with a completion percentage of 83.3%. Then, in cycle II, a completion percentage of 95.8%. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of the NHT learning model can improve the learning outcomes of IPAS subjects for fourth-grade students at SDN Keleyan 2.

Abstract

This research aims to increase understanding of mathematical concepts, especially regarding flat shapes, namely by taking measurements of an object and understanding the characteristics of shapes in flat shapes by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model so that students will think logically, critically, and actively. and enthusiastic about learning mathematics because there are activities that are interesting and relevant to everyday life which can increase their understanding and interest in this subject. The implementation of this research used several steps, including: initial planning, implementation and observation, reflection, and revised plans. This research was carried out at the Pejagan 3 Bangkalan State Elementary School for class IV students, using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model approach which is expected to help students solve problems that exist in the process of learning activities by holding direct practice in the field with examples of real objects. . For example, by giving examples of flat shapes in the classroom such as; books, tables, paper, etc. so that students don't just know the theory. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach applied in this research was proven to be effective in improving the abilities and learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN Pejagan 3 Bangkalan because there was a significant increase in the average student scores from cycle I by (65) and cycle II by (98) as well as an increase in the level of learning completeness from cycle I (65,21%) to cycle II (97,82%). Therefore, it can be concluded that using this approach is very effective in improving mathematics learning. Abstract must be written briefly and factually in English.

Abstract

This research aims to provide assistance to teachers in improving children's learning outcomes at SDN Pejagan 3 Bangkalan through the application of the example non example learning model. This research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing actions, observing, reflecting. The subjects of this research were 23 grade IV students. So this report aims to test using image media, which can change the way of learning Indonesian to be active, creative and innovative. And this characteristic is still a stage that can change or experience development. The data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The research instruments used were interview sheets, questionnaires, written tests, and documentation. The results of this research show that the application of the example non example model can improve Indonesian language learning outcomes for class IVA students at SDN Pejagan 3 Bangkalan, through the pre-cycle, cycle I, cycle II stages. Learning outcomes in the pre-cycle stage obtained a completeness percentage of 61% with an average value of 70. Student learning outcomes increased in cycle I with a completeness percentage of 70% with an average value of 70.43. Then in cycle II, the completion percentage was 91% with an average of 88.3. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the media and methods used by teachers have a very big influence or are very important in improving learning achievement in Indonesian Language Subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of smart board media in mathematics multiplication material can improve the learning outcomes of grade 3 students at UPTD SIN Gili Timur 3. This research uses class action research (PTK). The respondents of this study were grade 3 students at UPTD SDN Gili Timur 3 totalling 5 people, with 2 boys and 3 girls. The results showed that the multiplication smart board learning media can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects multiplication material. The increase in learning outcomes can be seen from: (1) The average score of students in the pre-cycle test is (10.00) which is still in the very poor category. while no student's score reaches the KKM. (2) The average score of students in the Cycle I test is (50.00) which falls into the category of less, while the value of students who reach the KKM is only 1 student or 20%. (3) The average score of students in the Cycle II test is (90.00) which is in the excellent category, while the scores of all students have reached the KKM. This means that during the process of providing action for two cycles, students have increased by (80.00) points. So it can be concluded that the multiplication smart board media has succeeded in improving the ability and learning outcomes of third grade mathematics students of UPTD SDN Gili Timur 3.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects containing social science material through the STAD type cooperative learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research with a cycle model that is carried out repeatedly and continuously. The subjects of this research were 18 class V students consisting of 11 male students and 7 female students. The object of this research is student learning outcomes. Data collection methods are carried out through observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively, quantitatively and qualitatively. The research results show an increase in student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the average score at the pre-cycle stage, which is 60.00 and has a learning completeness of 22% and at the end of the first cycle the average score is 74.43 with learning completeness being 61% and at the end of the second cycle the average score -The average rose to 96.55 with learning completion reaching 100%. The target for achieving learning outcomes in this research is 70% of students getting a complete score, namely 65. Apart from increasing student learning outcomes, the learning process in the classroom has also improved.
