Abstract

This community service is carried out in the form of mentoring for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Teluk Pandan District in applying for halal certification through self-declaration in the One Million Free Certificates (SEHATI) program. The majority of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Teluk Pandan District, East Kutai Regency do not yet understand the procedures for applying for halal certification, the requirements and the classification of products that may be registered. Therefore, this mentoring service focuses on: 1) providing an understanding of the importance of halal certification, 2) providing training on procedures for applying for halal certification for the SEHATI program, and 3) providing assistance for halal certification registration through the Sihalal application. The method of implementing community service activities carried out by this service team uses the Participatory Action Research approach, namely assisting and providing a role so that business actors directly practice and carry out all halal certification application processes through the Sihalal application. The results of this community service activity are that business actors get a business registration number as one of the requirements for applying for halal certification through SEHATI and the issuance of halal certificates for the products they apply for. With the halal certificate, consumers will no longer hesitate to buy and consume products from business actors in Teluk Pandan District, East Kutai Regency.

Abstract

Sosialisasi media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi (TI) diharapkan menjadi strategi baru bagi madrasah dalam mengembangkan inovasi pendidikan, khususnya dalam proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui bimbingan intensif kepada guru madrasah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis TI. Metode yang digunakan adalah Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan tahapan persiapan, koordinasi, pelaksanaan diskusi, hingga pencatatan hasil kajian. Metode FGD memungkinkan guru untuk berbagi pengalaman, mendiskusikan kendala, serta menemukan solusi secara kolaboratif, sehingga proses pembelajaran lebih efektif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru tentang media pembelajaran berbasis TI, serta meningkatnya minat mereka untuk mengembangkan media berbasis website, membuat video animasi, dan merancang game edukasi. Dampak langsung yang dirasakan guru adalah bertambahnya variasi metode pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif, interaktif, dan efisien dalam mendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran

Abstract

Artikel ini mencoba menemukan peran sosial penyuluh agama Islam di kecamatan melalui program yang dijalankan yaitu pemberantasan buta huruf al-Qur’an. Perumusan program ini melalui serangkaian pengamatan akan fakta dan masalah di Kecamatan Sale, di mana banyak ditemukan warga yang masih buta terhadap huruf al-Qur’an yang notabene menjadi sumber primer dalam kehidupan keagamaan mereka. Program pemberantasan buta huruf al-Qur’an di kecamatan Sale menjadi fokus tugas kepenyuluhan yang dijalankan melalui 3 majelis taklim binaan yaitu Ta’limul Qur’an, al-Istiqomah dan Nurul Qur’an. Dalam perjalanannya, upaya kepenyuluhan ini menemui hambatan berupa usia subyek binaan yang sudah sangat lanjut, fasilitas yang kurang memadai, akses menuju lokasi binaan yang rusak, penolakan masyarakat dan konflik sosial. Strategi yang ditempuh untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah tersebut antara lain agensi, kaderisasi, pemilihan metode iqro’, variasi metode pembelajaran, variasi petugas penyuluh, serta menjalin kerjasama dengan masyarakat serta stakeholder di kecamatan Sale. Dengan menggunakan perspektif peranan sosial, upaya kepenyuluhan untuk memberantas buta aksara al-Qur’an di kecamatan Sale diketahui bahwa tugas pokok dan fungsi penyuluh agama Islam secara normatif meliputi empat hal yaitu informasi, edukasi, kosultasi dan advokasi. Dengan menggunakan 4 alat ukur tersebut, didapati bahwa peranan sosial penyuluh agama Islam di kecamatan Sale telah dilaksanakan secara profesional dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

The traditional slingshot game (katapel) is a part of local culture that is increasingly marginalized due to rapid technological development. This community service activity aimed to preserve the katapel game in Rawa Makmur Sub-district, Palaran District, through a participatory, community-based approach. Students from the Community Service Program (KKN) of Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris State Islamic University (UINSI) Samarinda acted as facilitators in regular training sessions organized by local residents. The strategies involved mentoring, activity documentation, and cultural awareness dissemination. The results showed increased participation among children and youth, along with a growing collective awareness to preserve traditional games. The katapel serves not only as entertainment but also as an educational tool that fosters motor skills, discipline, and social interaction. Preserving traditional games is an important step toward building character and strengthening local cultural identity amid modernization.

Abstract

In today's digital era, mastery of information technology is a skill that must be possessed by the younger generation, including students in the pesantren environment. This service activity aims to improve students' digital literacy through training on the use of Microsoft Power Point as one of the commonly used presentation software in the world of education and work. The training was carried out at the Sangatta Taqwa Qur'an Islamic Boarding School (Paqusatta), East Kutai, using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method which emphasizes the active participation of participants in every stage of the activity, starting from planning, implementation, to evaluation. The results showed that there was an improvement in the participants' basic skills in using Microsoft PowerPoint, such as composing slides, adding visual elements, and applying animations and transitions. The evaluation carried out through observation and assessment of practical results showed high enthusiasm and increased student competence in composing digital presentations creatively. Obstacles faced include device limitations and variations in participants' initial abilities. Overall, this training succeeded in encouraging the mastery of students' digital skills, while strengthening their ability to convey messages in a modern and communicative manner.

Abstract

The commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday at the Sangatta Islamic College was an important moment to strengthen morals and knowledge among the academic community, especially in facing the challenges of the era of information disruption 5.0. This activity aimed to instill religious spiritual values through motivational lectures that inspired students to emulate the Prophet's morals in their daily lives, especially on campus. The research used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation during the implementation of the activity. The results showed that participants understood the concept of morals as part of the practice of religious spiritual values and had a strong motivation to apply them in campus life. The positive responses and enthusiasm of the participants marked the success of this activity in strengthening the character and intellect of students. Therefore, it is recommended that various stakeholders collaborate to promote character development programs through similar activities on an ongoing basis, with an emphasis on strengthening spiritual intelligence (SQ) as the key to preparing an excellent young generation ready to face the dynamics of the era of information disruption.
