Abstract

Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) play an important role in supporting local economic development; however, many MSE actors still face challenges in managing their business finances effectively. Common problems include the absence of systematic financial records, the mixing of personal and business finances, and limited understanding of financial control. This community service program aimed to improve the financial literacy and financial management practices of the Sempol Ayam Micro and Small Enterprise through an educational and mentoring-based approach. The program was implemented through counseling, training, and direct mentoring focusing on daily transaction recording, cash flow management, production cost calculation, and the preparation of simple profit and loss statements. The results indicate a significant improvement in the partner’s financial management practices, including more systematic bookkeeping, clearer separation of personal and business finances, more accurate cost calculations, and better monitoring of business performance. Overall, the program contributed positively to enhancing financial control, financial stability, and business sustainability of the micro-enterprise. These findings demonstrate that simple and practical financial management assistance can effectively strengthen the capacity of Micro and Small Enterprises.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are important pillars of the regional economy, yet they still face various limitations in financial management and business decision-making. A low understanding of accounting often leads to financial decisions being made intuitively without an adequate information base. This article aims to analyze the impact of accounting understanding on the quality of financial decision-making in culinary MSMEs in Ambon City, using the case study of Ibu Suherni La Umar's Ayam Geprek business. The research method uses a qualitative explorative approach through in-depth interviews and observation. The results showed that although the business owner has not fully implemented a formal accounting system, practical understanding related to costs, turnover, profit margins, and the use of digital platforms and non-cash payments has helped in making more rational financial decisions. The use of GoFood and QRIS was proven to increase turnover, transaction efficiency, and the financial security of the business. This study concludes that a simple understanding of accounting plays an important role in improving the quality of financial decision-making and the sustainability of culinary MSMEs.

Abstract

Traditional marriage traditions are an important manifestation of maintaining the sustainability of local social and cultural values. One traditional practice still maintained by the Sipirok community is the mengumpar ruji activity as part of the dowry giving process. This activity is not only ceremonial, but also contains social, symbolic, and normative meanings that function as a mechanism for binding relationships between families. This study aims to analyze the meaning, function, and position of the mengumpar ruji activity in the Sipirok community's traditional marriage system. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach, through literature review and normative analysis of traditional practices. The results show that mengumpar ruji is a symbol of sincerity, responsibility, and social recognition from the man towards the woman and her family. This tradition also functions as an instrument of social legitimacy in Sipirok traditional marriage. Thus, mengumpar ruji has a strategic role in maintaining social harmony and the sustainability of customary law amidst the social changes of modern society.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education is a strategic instrument in addressing global social and economic challenges, particularly those related to the low level of independence of the younger generation. The still-dominant orientation of graduates as job seekers demonstrates the need for a paradigm shift in education toward developing an independent, creative, and adaptive generation. This study aims to analyze the urgency of entrepreneurship education in developing an independent generation through a library approach. The research method used is library research, examining scientific journal articles, academic books, and educational policy documents published in the last five years (2021–2025). Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to identify the concepts, values, and role of entrepreneurship education in developing an independent generation. The study results indicate that entrepreneurship education contributes significantly to fostering independence, creativity, responsibility, risk-taking, and problemsolving skills. Therefore, there is a high urgency for entrepreneurship education to be systematically integrated into the education system to develop an independent and competitive generation.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine how deepfake-based humor becomes socially acceptable despite its potential to function as digital harassment. This study focused on psychological mechanisms that explain audience tolerance and normalization of harmful, identity-based humorous content in online environments. This study used a scoping review design to map and synthesize existing research across psychology, media studies, and cyberpsychology. The sources were identified through searches in major academic databases and were selected based on their relevance to deepfake technology, digital humor, online harassment, and psychological processes such as moral disengagement, online disinhibition, empathy reduction, and social norm reinforcement. The results indicate that acceptance of deepfake-based humor is commonly supported by four interrelated mechanisms, namely normalization through participatory digital culture, psychological distancing that weakens empathy, moral ambiguity created by humorous framing, and reduced accountability through diffusion of responsibility in online spaces. In addition, the literature conceptualizes deepfake humor as a hybrid phenomenon situated between remix-based entertainment and identity-targeting harm, shaped by platform visibility and engagement dynamics. This review highlights that deepfake-based humor may be tolerated not because it is harmless, but because it is routinely framed as “just a joke,” making its harm easier to minimize and socially overlook. Therefore, this study emphasizes the need for more direct empirical research and stronger interventions to prevent deepfake-based humor from becoming a normalized form of digital harassment in increasingly synthetic digital environments.
