Abstract

Banyaknya masyarakat yang memiliki ponsel cerdas membawa konsekuensi bahwa banyak informasi yang mereka sampaikan kepada orang lain melalui telepon atau SMS, termasuk sistem informasi akademik berbasis SMS. Keputusan untuk menggunakan teknologi komunikasi dalam bentuk SMS dipilih karena lebih praktis, ekonomis, dan efisien dalam menyampaikan informasi. Layanan pesan singkat (SMS) adalah teknologi yang populer dan banyak digunakan oleh berbagai kalangan masyarakat. Selain kepraktisannya, teknologi ini juga menawarkan tarif yang lebih terjangkau untuk pengiriman pesan dan transfer informasi dalam jumlah kecil dibandingkan dengan layanan suara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Sistem Informasi MI Mansyaul Huda Berbasis SMS yang memfasilitasi komunikasi antara sekolah dan orang tua siswa melalui layanan pesan singkat (SMS). Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan perancangan dan implementasi sistem yang memanfaatkan teknologi SMS Gateway, dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan model pendekatan Waterfall dalam perancangan SDLC. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi analisis sistem, perencanaan, analisis kebutuhan, desain sistem, implementasi, integrasi, dan pengujian. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan orang tua dapat menerima informasi terkait kegiatan siswa secara cepat dan efisien melalui SMS, sehingga mereka tidak perlu repot datang ke sekolah untuk mendapatkan informasi tersebut.

Abstract

Laboratories in higher education have a very important role in achieving organisational goals, namely to produce graduates who are noble, ethical, have superior competence, and are competitive, in addition to producing research and community service based on applied technology to improve the welfare of society. In fact, there are still many laboratories in higher education that have not been managed properly so that their use cannot function optimally. The purpose of this research is to create a computer laboratory management information system for the Informatics Engineering Department of Politap. The method in system development uses agile software development scrum model (agile software development) while in the system testing stage the black box testing method is used. The results of the research obtained in the form of an information system with modules including inventory management of practical tools and materials, scheduling management, loan management, laboratory technician task management, care and maintenance management. With the implementation of information systems, it can facilitate technicians, laboratory heads and department heads to manage laboratories so that they can be used optimally.

Abstract

Inventory of facilities and equipment in higher education is an important means inlearning, research and community service activities, especially in vocational education which implements a learning model by applying the concept of 60% practical learning and 40% theoretical learning. tools and facilities in higher education need to be managed properly so that lecture activities can be carried out and run well. The implementation of an information system for inventory management aims to simplify the process of collecting data on facilities and tools at Politap. One of the obstacles in the data collection process so far is the large number of facilities and equipment scattered in each department and the ineffective and inefficient method of reporting the condition of facilities and equipment. The development of a web-based inventory management information system aims to solve these problems by simplifying the inventory management process. Features of the inventory information system include data collection of types, conditions, employees responsible for inventory, and departments that use inventory. The system development method used in this research uses the FDD method, system design using UML, PHP programming language with SQL database. The final result of this research is a web-based inventory management information system that facilitates service and inventory management at Politap.

Abstract

Politeknik Negeri Ketapang (Politap) is a university that has a variety of employees who support the learning activity process. Polytap employees consisting of lecturers, technicians, education administration staff, cleaning staff and security staff make employee data management complex. an information system is needed as a forum for managing data on various employees at Politap so that information about employees in the Politap environment is quick and easy to access so that decisions for employees such as employee placement, promotion and salary are quickly handled. The staffing information system will be developed using web-based with the aim of facilitating and accelerating access to employee data by employees and staffing administration at Politap. The system development method used in this research uses the waterfall method, system design using Unified Modelling Language (UML), Hypertext Preprocessing (PHP) programming language with Structured Query Language (SQL) database. The final result of this research is a web-based Politap staffing information system that functions as a place to manage employee data at Politap which is easy and fast to access. The results of system testing using blackbox testing, each feature on the system was successfully tested and the system can run well.

Abstract

In an effort to prepare competitive and superior human resources, vocational higher education providers are expected to equip their students with competencies that are recognised by the industrial world. One of the institutions given the task of organising professional certification activities is the Professional Certification Agency (LSP) which obtained a licence from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). Politap is a tertiary institution in Ketapang Regency that is licensed as a Professional Certification provider for students from 8 study programs in Politap. Based on observations made by LSP-P1 Politap in administrative management, starting from participant registration to the implementation of competency tests is still done manually, so that LSP-P1 Politap administrators often experience difficulties in the process of preparing files when implementing certification. The purpose of this research is to create a web-based information system that is built using the Laravel framework. The method used in making the Politap LSP-P1 information system uses Agile Software Development. Meanwhile, to ensure that the information system is successfully built, system testing is carried out using the black box testing method. The results of the research are in the form of an information system that can help the process of managing the administration of competency test participant data, scheduling, documentation and facilitate the preparation of reports on the results of the competency test by LSP-P1 Politap.

Abstract

Digital technology is the closest thing to humans in this era, more and more human life activities ranging from entertainment content, shopping activities and even learning activities have used digital technology. So using the help of technology allows us to obtain all kinds of information quickly and surely. The role of technology has also changed many activities in the world of education, such as in the process of teaching and learning activities, lecturers or teachers can teach without having to be in the same place, but by going online using information technology. Another example is the academic administration process has also used a lot of technology, so that the process of processing grades, such as study results cards and attendance is carried out using information systems. The purpose of this research is to build an attendance system using Qr-Code which is built using the Laravel framework with the agile model software development method. The results of this study are in the form of a web-based attendance information system using Qr-Code, so that this system makes it easier for lecturers to monitor their students as well as a way to prevent cheating by students.

Abstract

To obtain maximum access speed with limited bandwidth resources, bandwidth requires good regulation to maintain data transfer in a computer network so that data queues do not accumulate due to overloaded access requests in the network, hence the need for Bandwidth Management in a computer network. . Bandwidth Management functions to regulate network bandwidth so that each network user gets equal bandwidth. The Surabaya City Government is an agency that uses computer networks to integrate all existing data. Everything is connected into one unit centered at the Surabaya City Dinkominfo Secretariat Office. In this network there is a Fiber Optic network and an external Fiber Optic network. What will be implemented in this research is on an external fiber optic network. The problem currently being faced is the need for good network management so that the performance of the network being built is in accordance with the devices that have been prepared. The method used is Queue Tree from the MikroTik router. The result of implementing Bandwidth Management is that the network quality using the Queue Tree method is more optimal, because the bandwidth will be divided according to the rules applied to bandwidth management so that clients get bandwidth according to the rules.

Abstract

In the ever-growing digital era, Information Technology (IT) infrastructure security has become an urgent need. Cybersecurity threats are increasingly complex and diverse, requiring organizations to adopt a proactive approach to protecting systems and data. This research aims to conduct an IT infrastructure security analysis and identify effective strategies in dealing with cyber security threats. The research method used is literature study, with a focus on the latest literature discussing cyber security, IT infrastructure and related technologies. The analysis was conducted to evaluate commonly used security frameworks and identify current trends, challenges and solutions in addressing cybersecurity threats. The research results show that successful IT infrastructure security requires a holistic approach that includes technical aspects, policies and human resource training. Regular software updates, implementation of advanced security technologies, and proactive monitoring can help reduce the risk of cyber threats. In addition, strict security policies and ongoing training for personnel are key to mitigating risks.

Abstract

The selection of thesis supervisors at Universitas Baturaja is currently based on student proposals. This process is typically conducted manually and lacks a computerized system. Additionally, the assignment of thesis supervisors often overlooks the workload balance, resulting in an uneven distribution of supervisory duties among lecturers and sometimes misaligning with their areas of expertise. Given these challenges, a decision support system is needed to facilitate the selection process for thesis supervisors. This study aims to apply the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to the selection of thesis supervisors. Based on the calculations, the application of the SAW method evaluates four criteria: education, academic rank, field of expertise, and supervisory workload. The final assessment results indicate that the highest score, 88.8, was achieved by Alternative 5, Hendra.

Abstract

The Pesona Karanganyar website serves as an information platform accessible to all users without limitations. This official website provides comprehensive information about tourism destinations, events, and available facilities. It aims to deliver an informative and interactive experience for users, making it easier for them to plan trips and explore the beauty of Karanganyar. To provide excellent service to potential visitors, it is crucial to enhance the website's quality by assessing user satisfaction, identifying existing issues, and considering improvements for future development. This study evaluates the quality of the Pesona Karanganyar website using the WebQual 4.0 method. Data collection was conducted through surveys using a Google Form questionnaire based on WebQual dimensions, involving a total of 60 respondents. The validity and reliability of the data were tested as prerequisites. Data analysis involved calculating scores and averages for each indicator. The results of this analysis indicate that the usability, information quality, and interaction quality variables of the Pesona Karanganyar website are of good quality. These findings suggest that the Department of Tourism, Youth, and Sports of Karanganyar Regency should regularly evaluate the website's maintenance and development to improve the quality of its services.
