Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of work-life balance, work-family conflict, mental health, and the generation gap on employee performance at the Klaten Pratama Tax Office. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population was all Klaten Pratama Tax Office employees with a sample of 88 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires, while data analysis used multiple linear regression with the help of the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) program. Tests were conducted simultaneously and partially to determine the influence of each independent variable on employee performance. The results showed that work-life balance, work-family conflict, mental health, and the generation gap simultaneously influenced employee performance. Partially, work-life balance had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, mental health had a marginal effect, while work-family conflict and the generation gap had no significant effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.274 indicates that the research variables were able to explain 27.4% of the variation in employee performance. This study concluded that work-life balance is the most dominant factor in influencing employee performance at the Klaten Pratama Tax Office.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial performance on Financial Distress in banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019–2024. The independent variables used are Return on Assets (ROA), Debt Ratio (DR), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO), Non-Performing Loans (NPL), and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). The dependent variable is measured using the Zmijewski model. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling so that 13 conventional commercial banks are obtained as research samples with a total of 67 observations after outlier testing. The results show that partially ROA, DR, and CAR have a significant effect on Financial Distress. ROA has a negative effect on Financial Distress, which indicates that increasing profitability can reduce the possibility of financial distress. DR has a positive effect on Financial Distress, which indicates that increasing the proportion of liabilities to assets increases the risk of financial distress. CAR also has a significant effect on Financial Distress, which emphasizes the importance of capital adequacy in maintaining banking stability. Meanwhile, BOPO and NPL did not significantly influence financial distress. Simultaneously, all independent variables did not significantly influence financial distress. The adjusted R Square value of 0.080 indicates that the research model can only explain 8% of the variation in financial distress, with the remainder influenced by factors outside the model.

Abstract

This study proposes a conceptual framework for an enhanced Salam contract model aimed at improving flexibility, operational efficiency, and practical relevance within contemporary Islamic banking. Although Salam is a Shariah-compliant forward sale contract with strong jurisprudential foundations, its institutional application remains limited due to contractual rigidity, sectoral restrictions, and operational challenges. Drawing on a systematic review of literature published between 2016 and 2026, this paper identifies key constraints in existing Salam practices, including narrow usage confined primarily to agricultural commodities, limited practitioner familiarity, and risk management concerns. In response, the study develops a conceptual model that extends Salam applicability to a broader range of goods and services meeting clearly defined specifications and introduces a structured price-adjustment mechanism that allows buyers to request discounts when delivered goods fail to meet agreed standards. This innovation is expected to reduce dispute risk, enhance legal certainty, and strengthen fairness principles in Shariah-compliant transactions. From a practical perspective, the proposed model has the potential to improve liquidity management, support product innovation—including digital and parallel Salam structures—and enhance institutional competitiveness.

Abstract

This study analyzes the resilience of Indonesian Islamic banking in financing public infrastructure amidst macroeconomic fluctuations from 2021 to 2025, evaluating its alignment with Maqashid Syariah principles. Amidst global financial instability and economic uncertainties, the research addresses a significant gap by empirically examining Islamic finance's role in infrastructure development. Utilizing descriptive qualitative methodology and a case study approach focused on syndicated financing and the Musyarakah Mutanaqishah (MMq) contract for public utility sectors (electricity, gas, and water), the study analyzes secondary data from OJK and corporate annual reports. Findings reveal a robust and consistent growth in Islamic bank financing for the utilities sector, demonstrating significant resilience. The successful implementation of syndicated financing in renewable energy and water supply projects, alongside the effective use of MMq in mitigating macroeconomic risks and ensuring asset ownership transparency, are highlighted. Substantively, this financing framework aligns with Maqashid Syariah, promoting the protection of wealth (hifdz al-mal) from usury, life (hifdz an-nafs) through enhanced public utilities, and future generations (hifdz an-nasl) by avoiding speculative debt.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of information systems, transformational leadership, and organizational culture on employee performance with generational groups as moderating variables at the Religious Court in the former Surakarta Residency area. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The population in this study were all employees of the Religious Court in the former Surakarta Residency area. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to respondents who met the research criteria. Data analysis used the Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the help of SmartPLS software through outer model testing, inner model testing, hypothesis testing, and Multi Group Analysis (MGA) to examine differences in influence between generational groups. The results of the study indicate that information systems, transformational leadership, and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This finding indicates that the better the implementation of information systems, the more effective the transformational leadership implemented by leaders, and the stronger the developing organizational culture, the higher the resulting employee performance. The results of the generational group moderation test indicate differences in the strength of influence between generational groups on the relationship between information systems, transformational leadership, and organizational culture on employee performance. Thus, generational characteristics are a factor that needs to be considered in efforts to improve employee performance in the Religious Court environment in the former Surakarta Residency area..
