Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Economic Growth, Investment, Minimum Wage, Average Years of Schooling, and Internet Access on formal labor absorption in Indonesia during the period 2017–2024. The research employs panel data combining cross-sectional data from 34 provinces in Indonesia and time series data over 8 years. The analytical method used is panel data regression. Based on model selection tests through the Chow test and Hausman test, the chosen model is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results indicate that economic growth and average years of schooling have a positive and significant effect on formal labor absorption. Conversely, the minimum wage has a negative and significant effect on formal labor absorption. Investment and internet access variables do not have a significant effect on formal labor absorption. This study shows that the increase in formal labor absorption in Indonesia is more influenced by economic growth, minimum wage, and average years of schooling compared to investment or the expansion of internet access.

Abstract

Digital marketing strategies now play a major role in influencing consumer purchasing behavior. This study examines the extent to which online customer reviews and influencer support affect purchase intention among MS Glow customers who shop through TikTok Shop, using customer trust as a connecting construct. A survey instrument is used in the quantitative research design. Probability sampling was used to select 120 respondents, all of whom had to have bought MS Glow products on TikTok Shop and read product reviews on the same site. The data was processed using SmartPLS version 4.0 and partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that influencer support and online customer reviews both favorably and significantly contribute to the development of consumer trust, while customer trust itself positively and significantly increases purchase intention. According to mediation testing, customer trust serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between online customer reviews and purchase intention, but it does not function as a connecting channel between influencer support and purchase intention. These findings underscore the importance of influencer endorsement, online customer reviews, and customer trust in enhancing purchase intention among us consumers of MS Glow products on TikTok Shop.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the suitability of check-in area facilities based on inspections conducted by the Airport Operation Landside and Terminal (AOLT) Unit, as well as to examine the implementation of check-in area facility inspections at Yogyakarta International Airport. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, with informants consisting of staff involved in operational activities and inspections of terminal area facilities. Research documentation utilized the Daily Logbook of the Airport Operation Landside and Terminal (AOLT) at Yogyakarta International Airport and the Optima Report as supporting data. The research findings indicate that check-in area facilities—including check-in counters, baggage conveyor belts, the Flight Information Display System (FIDS), signage/directional signs, queue lines, and restrooms—are generally available and in adequate condition to support passenger service operations. Based on research indicators—which include facility availability, functional condition of facilities, operational readiness, and compliance with service standards—inspections conducted by the Airport Operation Landside and Terminal (AOLT) Unit play a key role in maintaining facility conditions through inspection activities, identification of findings, documentation of inspection results, and coordination of follow-up actions for facilities requiring attention. The conclusions of this study indicate that the inspections conducted by the Airport Operation Landside and Terminal (AOLT) Unit have supported efforts to maintain the serviceability of the check-in area facilities at Yogyakarta International Airport. However, ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and evaluation remain necessary to ensure that the condition of the facilities and the quality of operational services can be sustained.

Abstract

In the era of digital business, skincare manufacturers face great opportunities to reach the global market through digital media such as e-commerce and social media. However, this development also presents serious challenges, especially in implementing the principles of honesty and social responsibility. Honesty is a major foundation in Islam that is key to building consumer trust, especially in the digital world where direct interaction is minimal. Non-disclosure of product information and misleading promotions can damage a producer's reputation and disrupt the business ecosystem. Islamic social responsibility has also become very relevant given the increasing consumer awareness of sustainability issues and business ethics. This literature study examines the importance of the principles of honesty and social responsibility in the behavior of skincare manufacturers, especially in Indonesia. Based on previous research, the application of honesty, such as transparency of product information and sharia-compliant production processes, can increase consumer loyalty. Meanwhile, social responsibility, such as environmental conservation and community empowerment activities, helps create added value while improving brand image. However, manufacturers face challenges in implementing these values, including unfair competition, lack of regulation, and poor consumer education. This study concludes that implementing honesty and social responsibility in the skincare business not only strengthens consumer trust but also contributes to economic and social sustainability according to Islamic values. By applying these principles, manufacturers can create a business ecosystem that is ethical, equitable and provides benefits to society at large.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role and contribution of e-commerce utilization in fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of students at PGRI Madiun University (UNIPMA), as well as to identify the supporting factors and challenges faced by students in running digital businesses within the campus environment. This study employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological research design. The informants consisted of 15 active students from various faculties at UNIPMA, selected using a purposive sampling technique based on the criterion that they had utilized e-commerce platforms as a means of independent entrepreneurship. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. Data validity was tested through source, technique, and time triangulation. The findings indicate that the utilization of e-commerce significantly contributes to fostering students' entrepreneurial spirit through six main characteristics: increased self-confidence, the development of innovative and resilient attitudes, enhanced networking skills, the courage to take calculated risks, the transformation of mindset from consumer to producer, and the learning of emotional management and resilience when facing business failure. The main supporting factors include academic support, entrepreneurship-oriented curricula, technological infrastructure, social support, access to capital, digital payment systems, and marketplace training. Meanwhile, the challenges encountered include psychological challenges (fear of failure and stress), social barriers in the form of stigma, intense market competition due to platform algorithms, technical issues related to internet connectivity, and limitations in operational capital and financial management. Overall, the integration of e-commerce has proven effective as a practical laboratory for developing resilient digital entrepreneurial character.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of green banking, profitability, and firm age on firm value in Islamic Commercial Banks (Bank Umum Syariah/BUS) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), considering the importance of sustainability practices and financial performance in shaping investor perception. The research sample consists of four BUS selected using a purposive sampling technique, with annual data for the 2014–2024 period forming an unbalanced panel which was analyzed using panel data regression via EViews 12. The results show that green banking (proxied by the Green Banking Disclosure Index/GBDI) has a significant positive influence, serving as a signal that enhances the market's valuation of the firm. Conversely, Profitability (ROA) has no significant influence, indicating that a high level of profitability is not yet the primary determinant factor for market perception. Meanwhile, Firm Age has a significant positive influence, confirming that long-term experience and credibility increase investor confidence and firm value. Simultaneously, all three variables are proven to have a significant influence on firm value. These findings emphasize that both the aspect of sustainability and the firm's operational experience are important factors in the determination of firm value.

Abstract

This study examines consumer protection against the practice of motorcycle chassis number forgery in used motorcycle sale and purchase transactions, with a case study conducted in Tanjung Sari Village, Batang Kuis District. The background of this research is based on the information asymmetry regarding the forgery of chassis numbers in motor vehicle transactions. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection available to consumers under Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and to examine the practice from the perspective of Islamic law based on DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 43/DSN-MUI/VIII/2004. This research employs an empirical juridical method with case, legal, and conceptual approaches. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies, and were subsequently processed and analyzed using qualitative methods. The results indicate that the practice of chassis number forgery constitutes a violation of consumers’ rights due to the discrepancy between the actual condition and specifications of the goods sold, as well as the consumers’ right to compensation. This practice is inconsistent with Article 8 paragraph (1) letter f and Article 4 letter h of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. From the perspective of DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 43/DSN-MUI/VIII/2004, this practice results in a real loss that renders the contract defective, thereby obligating the seller to provide ta’widh (compensation). Therefore, greater consumer awareness, stronger transaction verification systems, stricter law enforcement, and effective compensation mechanisms are necessary to ensure optimal consumer protection.
