Abstract

Kompleksitas materi mikrobiologi, minimnya penguasaan materi dasar biologi danpeningkatan skor standar kelulusan, mengakibatkan masih rendahnya penguasaanmateri mikrobiologi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai adanya peningkatanmotivasi dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah mikrobiologi. Metode yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini kuasi eksperimen, dengan melakukan intervensiterhadap responden dan adanya kelas kontrol tanpa perlakuan. Penelitian inidilaksanakan di Program Studi Biologi FKIP Universitas Tadulako Palu selama satusemester, data penelitian dianalisis dengan Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajarmahasiswa melalui penerapan sistem pembelajaran dengan PBM ARCS–Model danketerampilan proses pada mata kuliah mikrobiologi. Selain itu terjadi perbedaan yangnyata antara kelompok kontrol dengan kelompok mahasiswa yang diintervensi sistemPBM ARCS–Model dan keterampilan proses dengan nilai X2 hitung = (14,2) > X tabel α = 0,05 (3,84)

Abstract

Kandungan mikroplastik pada ikan bawis (Siganus canaliculatus) dan ikan kembung (Rastrelliger kanagurta) di perairan Bontang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan mikroplastik pada ikan bawis (Siganus canaliculatus) dan ikan kembung (Rastrelliger kanagurta) di perairan Bontang. Metode pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel sumber data dengan pertimbangan-pertimbangan tertentu. Sampel penelitian ikan bawis (Siganus canaliculatus) dan ikan kembung (Rastrelliger kanagurta) yang terdapat di perairan laut Bontang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kandungan mikroplastik pada ikan bawis (Siganus canaliculatus) dan ikan kembung (Rastrelliger kanagurta) dengan berbagai macam jenis dan ukuran. Mikroplastik yang ditemukan pada sampel ikan bawis (Siganus canaliculatus) terdapat kandungan mikroplastik yang memiliki panjang >150 μm sebanyak 57 partikel dan panjang <150 μm sebanyak 11 partikel. Kemudian ikan kembung (Rastrelliger kanagurta) terdapat kandungan mikroplastik yang memiliki panjang >150 μm sebanyak 47 partikel dan panjang <150 μm sebanyak 15 partikel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk kualitas sumber air di Perairan Kelurahan Sungai Pinang Luar Kota Samarinda berdasarkan penyebaran plankton dan sesuai dengan baku mutu air sungai karang mumus. Kualitas air sungai dipengaruhi kecepatan aliran sungai dan bermacam aktivitas di bantaran sungai. Kadar BOD, COD di sungai merupakan indikator adanya sumber pencemar organik seperti dari pertanian dan limbah domestik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 1 bulan, penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling yaitu penentuan lokasi berdasarkan atas adanya tujuan tertentu oleh peneliti dan sesuai dengan pertimbangan peneliti sendiri sehingga mewakili populasi di daerah tersebut. Komposisi fitoplankton yang ditemukan selama penelitian di dominasi dari kelas Bacillariaophyceae dan Cyanophyceae ditemukan hampir disetiap stasiun pengamatan. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) fitoplankton 1,42 (kategori sedang). Nilai indeks keanekaragaman (H’) zooplankton 1,32 (kategori sedang). Dari hasil rata-rata keanekaragaman plankton yang ditemukan yang artinya distabilitas komunitas biota sedang dan kualitas air tercemar sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi ekstrak daun tapak dara dan daun jambu air Semarang terhadap intensitas serangan serangga hama pada tanaman kacang panjang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang dilaksanakan di lahan pertanian Kampung Sei. Fatimah, Kecamatan Nunukan, Kabupaten Nunukan, Kalimantan Utara. Menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu T0 (kontrol), T1 (25%) , T2 (40%), T3 (55%) dan T4 (70%) dengan 5 ulangan. Hasil analisis data memberikan hasil 168.12 > Ftabel taraf signifikan 1 % (4.77). Berdasarkan analisis data terdapat pengaruh sangat nyata pada pemberian kombinasi ekstrak daun tapak dara dan daun jambu air Semarang terhadap intensitas serangan serangga hama pada tanaman kacang panjang.

Abstract

Sumber daya alam Indonesia begitu banyak salah satunya adalah sumber daya alam berupa batubara. Kalimantan Timur merupakan salah satu provinsi dengan sumber batubara yang melimpah. Masyarakat dan perusahaan menjadikan batubara menjadikan batubara di Kalimantan Timur sebagai sumber pendapatan. Batubara tidak hanya memberikan dampak positif tapi juga memiliki dampak negatif salah satunya sisa galian batubara yang berupa kolam-kolam raksasa yang menjadi Drainase Tambang Asam (Acid Mine Drainage). Hal ini menjadi perhatian khusus bagi peneliti untuk mengetahui kesadaran terhadap lingkungan dengan melihat tingkat Literasi Lingkungan masyarakat Kalimantan timur Lingkungan khususnya Mahasiswa pendidikan MIPA FKIP UNMUL. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah Deskriptif, dengan instrument berupa tes literasi lingkungan yang diadapatasi dan dimodifikasi dari Middle Schools Environmental Literacy Survey/ Instrument (MSELS/ I). Analisis tingkat literasi lingkungan ditransformasikan menggukan pensekoran dari NELA (National Environmental Literacy Assessmen). Dalam pensekoran NELA terdapat empat domain yaitu 1). pengetahuan; 2). Keterampilan kognitif; 3). Sikap; dan 4). Perilaku. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa literasi lingkungan mahasiswa FKIP ada pada katagori “Sedang”. Dari katagori tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk meningkatkan literasi lingkungan mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Mulawarman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis ikan di Sungai Lempake Tepian kecamatan Sungai pinang Kota Samarinda. Ikan-ikan di Sungai ini digunakan dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Perubahan kualitas air sungai menyebabkan adanya penurunan tingkat populasi dan spesies ikan di sungai tersebut. Pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling yang dibagi menjadi 3 lokasi yakni sungai bagian hulu, tengah dan hilir. Berdasarkan analisis data indeks keanekarangan (H) 1.969 dikategorikan sedang, kemelimpahan relatif ikan seluang (29.8%), ikan sapu-sapu 27.35%, puyau (19.33%), ikan puyau (19.33%), ikan sepat (16.50%) dan ikan nila (7.07%). Indeks keseragaman (e) sebesar 0.394 dikategorikan sedang dan indeks Dominansi (C) jenis ikan di Sungai Lempake Tepian Kota Samarinda sebesar 0.04 maka dapat disimpulkan tidak ada spesies yang mendominasi di Sungai Lempake Tepian Kota Samarinda.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of instructional videos on science process skills (KPS). This type of research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research design and the ADDIE development model. This study uses one class as the experimental class. Methods of data collection using a pretest and posttest. Based on the results of the data obtained, the highest increase in students 'science process skills was in the fifth indicator, namely communicating with a percentage of 69%, this was in accordance with the results of the students' pretest and posttest obtained as well. Whereas for the lowest increase indicator, namely the third indicator grouped with a percentage of 17%. The overall average of learning videos can improve 27.3% of process skills. In conclusion,

Abstract

One of the biological features that humans have is fingerprints. Genetic factors have a role in the formation of fingerprint patterns. In general there are three patterns in the fingerprint that is loop, arch and whorl. The purpose of this research is to know the pattern of fingerprints on Sumba ethnic population in Tambolaka city, East Nusa Tenggara. This research uses qualitative descriptive method because it aims to know the pattern of sidik on Sumba ethnic population. Data collection was done by using documentation, interviews and giving respondents. The research benefits provide information on the pattern of fingerprints on the Sumbanese ethnic population based on the shape of the fingerprint. The sample consists of 56 people. Overall of the patterns contained in the ten fingers of Sumba samples were mostly found in loop patterns with a percentage of 54.41%, whorl patterns 43.97%, and arch patterns of 1.62%. Based on the results of research on the pattern of fingerprints on Sumba ethnic population in Tambolaka the most dominant fingerprint pattern is to have the pattern with the highest order of loops seen on the left thumb, left middle finger and little finger, whorl pattern where this pattern is the highest pattern Second after loop and the third is the arch pattern.

Abstract

Global warming has threatened Indonesian’s agricultural sector and set the sector vulnerable to climate change. The changes affect the daily air temperature changes, farmer behavior, and the diversity of insect pollinators. The study aims to determine the daily changes in air temperature, farmer behavior, and diversity of pollinating insects in the Bumijawa, Tegal, Central Java; and to analyze the relationship between daily air temperature changes, farmer behavior, and insect pollinators diversity. The research employed survey methods. Samples for the daily air temperature measurement were taken purposeviley. The diversity of insect pollinators on the three farming type and respondens were selected radmonly with total respondent 99. The results showed that the average daily air temperature in chili farms is higher than that in tomato and strawberry farm; farmers have a good knowledge about the environmental degradation of agriculture land, good attitude and awareness in maintaining and improving the quality of agriculture, but they have negative behaviour in the use of excessive doses of fertilizer. Species richness of insect pollinators in tomato farm is higher than that in chili and strawberry farm. A good knowledge, good attitude, and bad behaviour are closely related to the daily air temperature and insect pollinators.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of magazines resulting from the morphological characterization of the Keprok Terigas citrus plant and to determine the level of feasibility. This type of research is research and development (R&D), with the first phase of qualitative research aiming to determine the morphological characterization of the Terigas Tangerine plant (Citrus reticulata Blanco). Data collection using observation and documentation methods. The second stage is the development of the magazine learning media product using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research was only carried out until the implementation stage. The results of the first stage of research, namely the morphological characterization of citrus plants with tree stature and dark brown taproots. The stem is cylindrical in shape, the direction of growth is straight (slightly bent on top), the texture is strong and sturdy, and the color is brownish green. The leaves are compound, oval-shaped elongated, the base of the leaves is blunt, the tips of the leaves are pointed, the edges of the leaves are serrated, the upper surface is shiny, and the lower surface is rough, and the leaves are green. The flowers include compound flowers with a complete arrangement of yellowish white, and have two sexes, namely stamens and pistils. The flowers on this plant have the formula (♀*K5, C5, A16, G1). The fruit is a single true fruit that is fleshy, round and greenish yellow in color, and the seeds are oval-shaped yellowish white. The results of the second stage, namely research on the morphological characterization of the Terigas Tangerine plant (Citrus reticulata Blanco) was developed as a magazine, and validated by material experts, media experts and lecturers in Plant Anatomy and Morphology courses, each obtained a percentage of 76.4% (decent), 95% (very decent), and 85.2% (very decent). The results of the student legibility test on the feasibility of the magazine learning media obtained an average percentage score of 91.5%, which stated that this magazine was suitable to be used as one of the learning media to study Plant Anatomy and Morphology courses.
