Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to explore the development, benefits, and risks of parkour as a recreational sport in the Parkour Freerun Flow It community in Pekanbaru. It focuses on the community's progress, the physical and mental benefits, and the potential risks associated with the sport. Methodology: This study used a qualitative method with purposive sampling. Data were collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The subjects consisted of community members and experts, including athletes, therapists, and medical professionals. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Main Findings: The study found a decline in interest and training intensity within the parkour community due to limited training facilities and lack of institutional support. Despite this, parkour offers significant benefits such as improved physical fitness, mental resilience, and self-confidence. Risks include minor to severe injuries, particularly if warm-ups are neglected. Younger practitioners are especially vulnerable due to underdeveloped joints and bones. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to the understanding of parkour as an emerging recreational sport in Indonesia. It uniquely documents the evolution and current state of a regional parkour community, highlighting the dual nature of parkour as both physically beneficial and potentially hazardous. It offers insights for policymakers to better support urban recreational sports.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the influence of three key tourism development variables location, infrastructure, and promotion on increasing community income in the Dua Island area, East Bakongan, South Aceh. A central objective is to identify which of these factors exerts the most significant impact on local economic improvement. Methodology: Employing a quantitative explanatory approach, this research collected primary data through a survey method. A structured questionnaire was distributed to 92 respondents engaged in tourism-related activities around Dua Island. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 23. Classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity) were conducted prior to hypothesis testing via t-test (partial) and F-test (simultaneous). Main Findings: The results confirm that location, infrastructure, and promotion each have a positive and significant partial effect on local community income. The analysis identifies promotion as the most dominant influencing variable. Simultaneously, the three variables collectively have a significant positive impact on income (F-count = 43.57 > F-table), with the model explaining a substantial proportion of the variance in economic outcomes. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study offers novel insights by integrating an Islamic economic perspective (maslahah/public benefit) into the analysis of tourism-led rural development. Its primary contribution lies in empirically demonstrating the hierarchical influence of development factors within a small-island context, providing evidence that strategic promotion, coupled with accessibility and infrastructure, is crucial for optimizing tourism's economic benefits for local communities in emerging coastal destinations.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the influence of promotion, price, and product quality on the purchasing decisions for Scarlett Whitening products in Banda Aceh. A key objective is to identify which of these three factors exerts the most dominant effect on consumer behavior in this regional context. Methodology: Employing a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected via a survey. A structured questionnaire was distributed to 100 consumers selected through purposive sampling. Multiple linear regression analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25. Prior to hypothesis testing, instrument validity and reliability were confirmed, and classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity) were conducted to ensure the robustness of the regression model. Main Findings: The results confirm that promotion, price, and product quality each have a positive and significant partial effect on purchasing decisions. Product quality is identified as the most influential variable. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect consumer decisions (F(3, 96) = 54.78, p < .001), with the model explaining 62% of the variance in purchase behavior (R² = .62). Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to the marketing literature by empirically establishing a hierarchy of marketing mix effectiveness for a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) cosmetic brand in an emerging regional market. It specifically highlights the paramount importance of product quality over price and promotion in driving consumer loyalty within the local context of Banda Aceh, offering nuanced insights for localized brand strategy.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the mechanisms of corporate-community collaboration in CBT development. It specifically seeks to answer: "How does the partnership between PT. Vale and the local community shape the implementation and outcomes of CBT at Ide Sorowako Beach?" The research also identifies the key supporting and inhibiting factors within this tripartite governance model. Methodology: Employing a qualitative descriptive design, this study is grounded in a phenomenological approach to understand stakeholder experiences and a collaborative governance theoretical lens to analyze partnership structures. Data were collected via in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving government officials, PT. Vale management, and local community members (n= [isi jumlah informan]). Data were analyzed thematically using an interactive model, with triangulation ensuring validity and credibility. Main Findings: The analysis reveals that PT. Vale’s management adopts a participatory approach, actively involving the community in operational decision-making, which has led to direct economic benefits. However, community participation remains limited to the operational level, with strategic planning still dominated by corporate agendas. Key supporting factors are the site's natural capital and corporate resource provision. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to the CBT literature by providing an empirical analysis of a hybrid governance model where corporate CSR initiatives directly interface with community-driven tourism. It moves beyond generic CSR descriptions to dissect the mechanics and power dynamics of such partnerships. T
