Journal of Community Services for Health (JCSH) published by STIKes Patria Husada Blitar. JCSH is Published semi-annually (May and November). JCSH only receive original manuscripts related to community service and have not been published in domestic or foreign journals. The content of the manuscripts can be the results of community service conducted by lecturers or public servants based on their competence. The manuscript is written in English in the form of narrative with an effective and academic language style. The manuscript should be arranged systematically. Abstract

The changing of menopause times often cause discomfort or anxiety. Women who were initially active in various activities in the community can be disrupted because of various complaints caused by changes in menopause, it will be exacerbated if women do not realize that sigh are caused by physical changes during menopause. The importance of information for older women, especially women aged 48-60 years is given medical education through enlightenment on physical changes at menopause. By this health education, mothers understand better in facing the physical changes they experience. The results of the questionnaire given to mothers found that 10 menopause mothers (83%) did not know the physical changes experienced and 2 menopause mothers (17%) experienced changes that occurred in the mother's body. Providing good and correct education in menopause is very much needed, not just once but it must be repeated, for example, to continue to participate in the elderly posyandu activities so that mothers are aware and fell comfort with their conditions

Abstract

In Indonesia, the anemia prevention program for pregnant women is done by providing iron supplements as many as 90 tablets during pregnancy. However, many pregnant women refuse or do not comply with this recommendation for various reasons. The compliance of taking Fe tablets is less than 90% of iron tablets that should be taken. The compliance of pregnant women to take iron tablet is an important factor in ensuring an increase of hemoglobin levels of pregnant women. The right information and right method related to anemia become very important for the community and become very important in order to reduce the risk of maternal death. The purpose of this community service was to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about anemia, the impact of anemia, and the importance of fe tablets. The method was in the form of counseling and giving Fe tablets to pregnant women classes in Jatinom, Kec. Kanigoro, Kabupaten Blitar. The result showed the knowledge and compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablets were 5 participants (25%) in good category, 10 participants (50%) in fair category, 5 participants (25%) in lack category. After the counseling process, there was an increase in the knowledge and compliant to take the Fe tablet. There were15 participants (75%) in good category and 5 participants (25%) in moderate category

Abstract

The corona virus disease pandemic has caused public health emergencies around the world. The risk, severity and mortality of this disease have been associated with chronic non-communicable diseases such as diabetes mellitus. This community service activity was carried out in September 2020. The activities were taken place in the patient's house directly (door to door). The activities were done by providing health education to people with diabetes both with and without wound complications. The respondent was 10 people. The media used booklet. Since the activity was done during the Covid-19 pandemic, both the implementing activities and the targets complied the health protocols to prevent Covid-19 transmission. The data obtained showed that the knowledge of the respondents about Covid-19 and the New Normal Era before being given health education using the booklet method was only 1 respondent had good knowledge (10%). After being given health education using the booklet method, the respondent's knowledge data about Covid-19 and the New Normal Era increased into 6 respondents (60%) had good knowledge. Booklet is one of model or media to convey health messages in the form of a book, either in writing or in pictures. Booklet has many advantages such as easy to make, can be simply made at a relatively low cost, and clients can study independently

Abstract

It is known that the older the person is, the lower organ function will be, and it cause some symptoms. Some elderly overcome these symptoms by drinking medicinal herbs, but they do not know for sure the benefits of it and the correct one to process it. The purpose of this research is to increase the knowledge of the elderly about medicinal plants. The method used was by giving education about medicinal herbs through lectures and demonstrations to 85 elderly students attending PERLAHAT activity. The pretest shows that the elderly knowledge about benefits, kind and way to process medicinal herbs gets 5,2 of mean and 10 for maximum point. The post test showed that after giving educational about medical herbs the means of elderly knowledge raises become 8,8 and 10 maximum point. It can be concluded that giving education about medicinal herbs through lecturer and demonstration suitable for elderly. Furthermore, nurses can not only giving education but also improves the utilization of medical herbs. So the elderly and families independency increase to overcome their health problem and improved their quality of life

Abstract

Children with Autism Syndrome Disorder (ASD) have the same developmental tasks and must be stimulated from an early age. Stimulation can be performed by parents or caregivers. This community service aimed to provide parents or caregivers with the ability to stimulate the development of children with ASD. The training was conducted on 40 parents or caregivers using the Book of Autistic Children's Activity Guide at Home: A Guide for Parents (Buku Bina Aktivitas Anak Autis di Rumah: Panduan Bagi Orang Tua) ISBN: 978-602-6397-32-4. Training conducted twice by therapists in Autism Center of Blitar City. The training evaluation used a checklist consisting of 17 abilities. The changes were known from the mean increase in ability of 15.4 and the standard deviation decreased to 7.94. After the training, there was a change in the ability to perform developmental stimulation of children with ASD and parents or caregivers said they were very satisfied because they had the guidelines to be used at home
