Aim: This research aims to analyze how limited liability in the Piercing the Corporate Veil doctrine is used by BUMD administration in the form of Local Liability Companies.Methodology: The normative law method was employed in this study; this is the process of looking for the rule of law, legal principles, or legal doctrines to provide a solution to a legal problem, followed by an analysis of that problem using inductive reasoning.Findings: Due to these studies’ findings, a company is considered a separate entity from its founders, members, or investors when recognized as a legal entity under the law. Important to the company’s legitimacy is the idea of the Perseroan (company) as a separate legal entity whose assets are kept separate from those of its shareholders and for whom there is limited personal liability. Second, the current regulations on UUPT also apply to the administration of BUMDs structured as Local Liability Companies. Novelty/Implications: As a result of the limited liability of shareholders, this doctrine safeguards the interests of vulnerable outsiders.

Aim: This paper examines the government’s policy of pardoning corrupt officials so that human rights can be upheld and corruption can be eradicated in Indonesia.Methodology: This study is of the normative juridical variety, and its sources are various statutes, documents, and books dealing with the topics of corruption and remission.Findings: This study’s findings indicate that a pardon for a convicted briber is not a free pass for the briber but rather is granted on the condition that the briber agrees to comply with certain rules (such as government legislation and policies) in exchange for his or her release from prison.Novelty/Implications: As a result of corruption’s negative effects on state finances and the general public’s well-being, as well as the widespread corruption directed at those who engage in corrupt behavior, the topic of corruption in Indonesia has recently become a hot topic of discussion. The authors of this paper have tackled a pressing issue and provided policymakers with valuable new information.

Aim: This research aims to learn more about how effective legal aid is for low-income people in the area.Methodology: This research linked law turn variables using the socio-legal method’s interdisciplinary strategy.Findings: The research used a socio-legal approach to conclude that legal aid was not yet very important for the low-income population in the area. Inadequate local legislation that regulates legal aid for low-in comecommunities was identified as a root cause of the problem, as was the widespread belief that legal aid authority lies squarely within the purview of the central government. Legal aid for the poor in a community works best when it is coordinated between the federal government and local authorities (in this case, a local vertical official).Implications/Novelty: The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights and the Local Government need to improve their coordination and synergy to maximize the delivery of legal aid to the poor in their communities.

Aim: This paper uses the framework of network governance theory to investigate the extent to which Shenyang’s governors and the city’s citizens and businesses work together to combat the haze problem. This paper will illustrate the roles of various collaborative subjects to describe each subject’s individual and shared responsibilities in haze governance.Methodology: The researchers used a qualitative approach, gathering information from a comprehensive review of the relevant literature.Findings: The main result of this effort is a request to the government of Shenyang for their perspective on what can be accomplished through network governance in environmental governance. Network governance’s strengths lie in its ability to bring air pollution issues to the forefront of the political agenda and its potential to create and nurture sustainable development through cooperation between public and private actors at the differentiated regional levels.Implications: In this article, we apply the principles of network governance to the problem of haze weather, which in turn informs a new approach to environmental administration. Unlike top-down and bottom-up approaches, network governance encourages public participation and boos

Aim: This research aims to make projections about the efforts. Turkish universities are making to attract international students. Some nations like Turkey are actively trying to attract more foreign workers. Managers of international student offices are the focus of the research because they are both policymakers and practitioners and, as a result, have unique perspectives on international recruitment.Methodology: Data were collected from the International Office Directors of Turkish universities via a survey conducted between December 2014 and February 2016. The online survey tool Survey Monkey was used to collect responses.Findings: According to the research conducted, international student offices in Turkish universities are relatively new establishments that lack authority and personnel. In addition, the board members all agreed that universities do not provide enough funding for international outreach. Similarly, many higher education institutions do not systematically plan for international students.Implications/Novelty: There are still significant obstacles that must be carefully addressed before Turkish universities can truly reap the benefits of their increased international student enrollment. Insights into how to solve these issues have been provided by this study, which has brought to light the issues that international students face.

Aim: The primary goal of this research is to analyze how the Human Resource (HR) competencies of frontline employees at unclassified hotels in Sri Lanka’s western province affect the number of foreign visitors to those establishments.Methodology: 131 frontline workers were selected as possible respondents after a thorough conceptual model was developed and tested on a survey strategy.Findings: According to the research, unclassified hotels in Sri Lanka’s western province benefit greatly from the HR competencies of their frontline employees. The only significant dimensions of HR competencies were interpersonal and communication skills. The five unclassified hotels in Sri Lanka’s western province are the only ones covered by this study, which was conducted solely on a cross-sectional basis.Implications/Novelty: The study has shown that managers need to put more effort into improving the interpersonal and communication skills of their frontline workers if they want to increase the number of tourists they bring in. It has also shown that managers must assess their frontline workers’ skills to see where they need to improve.

Aim: This research aims to develop a mathematical programming model for the NBA tournament schedule that considers the equality of the teams that each team will face in the bracket. Professional sports leagues rely heavily on tournaments to maintain and grow their fan bases. However, there are many moving parts to consider when planning a tournament, including the dates, locations, opponents, and more.Methodology: To level the playing field between teams, an Integer Programming (IP) model was proposed. Results Numerical experiments showed that this model could improve the NBA’s tournament format.Novelty/Implications: To schedule the NBA’s professional sports tournaments in a balanced manner, a mathematical model has been proposed in this study. This model or the developed viewpoint can be used in various sports for tournament schedules.

Aim: This paper aims to use a representative sample of Malaysian university students to quantify the prevalence of "unskilled and unaware" phenomena in the country. Lack of generic skills, i.e., being "unskilled," has been cited as a contributing factor to the graduate unemployment problem, which has persisted since the financial crisis of 1998. Still, graduate unemployment cannot be blamed on the "unskilled" alone. The presence of both "unskilled" and "unaware" may be to blame.Methodology: Information is collected through interviews with students and faculty at Universiti Utara Malaysia’s Bachelor of Banking program. The questionnaire served as a data collection tool, with answers submitted by students before interviews and by interviewers afterward. Findings were arrived at using correlation and regression analysis.Findings: The findings show that students significantly overestimated their generic skill level in comparison to employer assessments. That the students are "unaware" of their lack of skill. The data also shows that this state of "unaware" correlates strongly with students’ lack of competence. It is more likely that the less-skilled students will not know. Consequently, there is a problem of students being "unskilled and unaware" in Malaysia.Novelty/Implications: This research sheds light on why there has been a rise in graduate unemployment in Malaysia, namely, that recent grads lack the necessary skills and experience to find gainful employment.

Aim: This paper aims to draw attention to the value of pedagogical aids and to analyze how well they facilitate active learning at the tertiary level through the application of interface design principles.Methodology: In this paper, we conduct an exploratory literature review to determine whether interface design fundamentals’ principles and elements guidelines can be applied to improve learning engagement through clear and effective visual communication.Findings: This research delves into the fundamentals of how interactive teaching tools can foster meaning fullearning experiences for students and instructors.Implications/Novelty: The proposed model will further enhance the efficient engagement of Gen Y students by emphasizing the significance of understanding the principles and elements of multimedia interface design of the teaching aids. It is hoped that this research will point the way to additional studies to determine the principles and element guidelines for multimedia teaching aids toward an effective learning engagement for a wide range of educational levels of study.
