Abstract

Failure function of level crossing control starts from not fulfillied the technical specifications in the level crossing operation. So it is necessary to have a monitoring system for the control of a level crossing door. This research was conducted at the level crossing of the Indonesian Railway Academy. The device circuit is arranged by attaching the sensor to the battery input, and inputing the flashing unit. Installation of sensors on the battery input is intended so that when the supply of voltage and current entering the battery does not meet specifications, it will be known that the charger battery is in trouble. Installation of sensors at the flashing input unit is intended so that when the supply of voltage and current entering the flashing unit is not according to specifications, it will be known that the supplier has a problem. The sensor will be connected to Arduino Mega which will then be sent to the database. From the data database the voltage and current will be processed in the web and displayed. If the voltage and current data from the database do not match specifications, a notification will appear on the web. Afterthat, it can be repaired by a technician.

Abstract

Communication between the two is done using a handy talky. Communication between langsir officers and train travel organizers is one of the most influential communications in train operations. In (PM No. 45 of 2018) concerning the technical requirements of railway telecommunications equipment, it is stated that at least lansiran communication meets the operating system requirements, every conversation must be recorded. There is currently no recording device for alert communication at Tegal station, while the alert process at Tegal station occurs at least 8 times a day.In this study, an application was made to record the voice of the langsiran communication to record all communications made by the langsir officer and the train travel controller. By taking voice data from the handy talky which is used as a master, then it is connected using a series of interfaces via a cable jack on a PC that has installed a voice recording application for langsiran communication that has been made with Microsoft Visual Studio. The recorded data that has been obtained is processed and stored in a MySQL database with the phpMyAdmin interface.From the test results, the designed software can be run properly, can automatically record alert communication, the stored data can be searched based on the recording code and recording date, and the recorded recordings can be played back and show the recording time

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to create a device that can track the temperature and vibration of an electric motor. It has two sensors: a thermocouple sensor and a piezoelectric sensor. When the electric motor is operating, the device displays digital data in the form of numbers on the monitor screen wirelessly. This research shows that the electric motor can be effectively monitored remotely. The Blynk app can connect with the unit within 0-200 meters without any obstacles. However, if the unit is blocked by a barrier, the distance that can be covered by the Blynk application is 0-160 meters. The test results show that the average electric motor temperature measured is 31.7°C, and the percentage of error value obtained is -1.01%.

Abstract

A bearing is a part that reduces the friction that builds up between moving parts. The proper type of grease must be considered to provide a long bearing life. This study aims to analyze the differences between Mobilith SHC 100 and Gulf Crown EP 2 greases. This study employed a laboratory test method conducted at PT Petrolab Services with the test parameters of base oil viscosity, dropping point, and worked penetration at 250C. Further, as the supporting data, a comparison of the bearing repairs was executed at Balai Yasa Manggarai using Gulf Crown EP 2 grease in 2018 and Mobilith SHC 100 in 2021. The study results suggested that Mobilith SHC 100 grease offered more advantages in maintaining its characteristic stability compared to Gulf Crown EP 2. Moreover, the bearing repairs at Balai Yasa Manggarai in 2018 and 2021 indicated that Mobilith SHC 100 had fewer bearing repairs and higher maximum mileage than Gulf Crown EP 2.

Abstract

Fires in electrical panels are a common problem experienced when electrical shorts occur. This research was carried out to identify and overcome the electrical panel fire problem. Therefore, the researchers automatically made a fire detection device on electrical panels based on the Internet of Things. This study uses NodeMCU ESP8266 Wifi Module as a microcontroller and DHT11 and MQ-2 as sensors. When a fire is demonstrated, or there is smoke and gas to detect a fire hazard on the electrical panel. In this fire detection device, a test of the DHT11 and MQ-2 sensors is carried out, which will turn on the fire alarm system in the form of a buzzer through the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller command, and the results of the test of the tool will be displayed in a real-time database on the firebase. Testing the fire detection device on the electrical panel automatically uses a match tool and sensor readings to read the presence of a fire in the electrical panel. This measurement difference raises the value of the percentage error in the measurement tool.

Abstract

Technological advances have given us many advantages, electronic devices and new procedures. Technological advances can also have negative side impacts if not used appropriately and correctly. In particular, it covers risks arising from careless use of electricity and accidents in the workplace. The research method used is research and development; data is obtained by carrying out direct observations on the tools when assembled. With this sound-based system for turning on the lights, you will be able to control the turning on and off of the lights just by sound, which means you can find out whether the lights are on or off and will be given information via a 16x2 LCD which has been programmed on the Arduino UNO to detect frequencies. The sound sensor on the system receives sound.

Abstract

Based on the research study on the design of the Remote Distance Recording Automation Tool for PDAM Water Distribution Using WIFI, several conclusions can be drawn. The PDAM water usage recording device, which uses the Water Flow YF-S201 sensor on a microcontroller installed in the PDAM water distribution flow, can accurately read the volume of water flowing through the sensor. Experiments showed that the sensor achieved an average accuracy of 98.9% for water volumes ranging from 1.5 liters to 15 liters. This demonstrates the sensor's high precision in measuring water flow.To build the hardware and software circuit, the ESP8266 WiFi module was used on the atmega328 microcontroller. The data sent to the server via the WiFi network worked as expected as long as it was within the range of the access point. Testing was conducted with a maximum distance of 8 meters, as the WiFi access point device used in the experiment could only reach a maximum of 10 meters and operated at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. This shows that the system can function well within a certain range and supports efficient wireless data transfer.

Abstract

Ciamis Station is one of the train stations located on the Bandung-Banjar railway route. This station needs facility improvement to meet the standard of a medium-class rail station. The purpose of this research is to identify the existing conditions of Ciamis Station, determine the class of Ciamis Station according to PM 33 of 2011, analyze the compliance of station standards according to PM 29 of 2011, redesign the station, and calculate the quantity of work with industrialist concept approach. Field survey data is used as primary data in the study. Passenger volume and existing floor plan are secondary data used in the analysis. Ciamis Station redesign planning is carried out to improve and develop Ciamis Station to increase the facilities using the Autodesk Revit application. Output results are in the form of layout, 3-dimensional views, and interiors of rooms, according to PM 63 of 2019 and the Railway Station Standardization Book. The result of the floor area for constructing the Ciamis Station room is 1.178 m2. The industrialist design concept uses materials, color, interior, and exposure of the station building. The result also shows the estimation of quantities for the construction process.

Abstract

The high-speed railway line has great potential to increase economic growth in the area through which it passes, especially the area that is a transit point or stop of the train. In accordance with the National Railway Master Plan (RIPNAS) the development of high-speed railways in Indonesia will continue to the city of Surabaya. The purpose of this research is to plan the Cirebon-Semarang Phase I (Cirebon-Semarang) high-speed railway with reference to the starting point of research from previous studies. The data needed are land use, disaster, and topography data as secondary data that are processed using ArcGIS 10.8. This research is including the selection of the best traces using simple multi-criteria analysis. The alternative that was selected as the best alternative route from the results of a simple multi-criteria analysis is alternative 2 with a route length of 43.2 km.

Abstract

The railroad track is crucial for people to cross the train, especially on lines with quite high elevations where the railroad is not permitted to have particularly high gridlines on its tracks. In its literal sense, a bridge is a construction that connects two areas that are divided by a barrier, which can be man-made or natural, such as highways, irrigation canals, and railroads, or it can be a river, valley, strait, or sea. The researcher will model the bridge girder with Bridgelink software for tracks on public railways, using pre-stressed concrete material with the type of grinder is Deck Bulb Tee WF98DG with a bridge span of 30 m. Referring to the railway geometry planning parameters according to the Minister of Transportation regulation No. PM. 60 of 2012. From the results of this study it is known that with a bridge cross-section of 3.124 m wide according to the needs of the width of the cross-section of a one-lane railway, which is a minimum of 3 m with a span length of 30 m using a single axle load of 20 tons requires a girder cross-section type Deck Bulb Tee WF98DG with the number of straight strand recommendations from bridge link is 18 pieces and Harped Strand as many as 7 pieces using fc' 35.16 MPa.
