Perilaku dan Promosi Kesehatan: Indonesian Journal of Health Promotion and Behavior merupakan jurnal ilmiah berkala yang diterbitkan oleh Departemen Pendidikan Kesehatan dan Ilmu Perilaku, Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat Universitas Indonesia bekerja sama dengan Perkumpulan Promotor dan Pendidik Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (PPPKMI). Jurnal ini membahas determinan perilaku sehat, strategi promosi kesehatan (seperti komunikasi kesehatan, pemberdayaan masyarakat, advokasi kesehatan) dalam upaya pembangunan kesehatan di berbagai tatanan (sekolah, rumah sakit, tempat kerja, tempat-tempat umum, dan komunitas). Bentuk artikel berupa hasil penelitian (original investigation, meta-analysis) dan telaah kepustakaan.

Abstract

Background. According to WHO in 2018, most cancer cases in Indonesia are breast cancer cases, with 58,256 cases out of a total of 348,809 cancer cases. Breast cancer is a disease that is at risk for women. Early detection efforts with BSE should be initiated. Objective. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and support of health workers with breast self-examination behavior (BSE) on women with PUS in Bram Itam Kiri Village, Bram Itam District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. Method. This research was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. This study involved 93 respondents who were selected using a proportional stratified random sampling technique to be interviewed. Data analysis using chi-square. Results. As many as 34.4% of respondents had bad BSE behavior. There is a significant relationship between knowledge and BSE behavior. Support from health workers did not have a significant relationship with BSE behavior. Conclusion. Respondents' understanding of BSE is still low and there is a relationship between knowledge and breast self-examination behavior (BSE).

Abstract

Background. Indonesian Basic Health Research (2018) shown that the prevalence smoker aged ≥10 years old it was 28.8% and smoker between 10-18 years old increased from 7.2% to 9.1%. Objective. The objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of lecture videos with teaching aids the dangers of smoking to increase knowledge, self-efficacy and negative attitude towards smoking to adolescent. Method. This study used pre-experimental research with one group pre-test-post-test design. Statistical result of knowledge by Wilcoxon signed-rank test and Statistical result of self-efficacy and attitude by paired t-test. Result. Knowledge variables shown that p-value (0.000) < 0.05. There was a difference in the result of adolescent knowledge before and after intervention lecture videos on the dangers of smoking. Self-efficacy and attitude variable showed that p-value (0,023) and (0,019) < 0,05. There was a difference between the result of adolescent self-efficacy and attitude before and after intervention lecture videos the dangers of smoking. Conclusion. Lecture videos with teaching aid "dangers of smoking" are effective in improving student knowledge, self-efficacy, and attitude towards the dangers of smoking.

Abstract

Background. HIV prevention in serodiscordant and seroconcordant couples are concerned with behaviors that focus on individual views and beliefs. Studies found that 25% were transmitted by partners who were HIV positive. Objective. This research aims to determine the description of HIV prevention behavior in serodiscordant and seroconcordant couples at the Bekasi Grapiks Foundation. Methods. This study used a case study design with a qualitative approach. Data collection by in-depth interviews via WhatsApp call. Results. Most serodiscordant and all seroconcordant partners consistently used condoms and both partners adhered to taking ARV drugs. All PLWHA disclose their status to their partners but, some disclose to their families. The relationship pattern in serodiscordant couples is the head complement, while seroconcordant couples are head complement and senior junior partner. The serodiscordant partner accepted the consequences, whereas the seroconcordant partner hoped not to be severe. Serodiscordant couples have less benefit and high resistance than seroconcordant couples. Both partners received less in-depth information about HIV/AIDS from health workers. Conclusion. There are differences in HIV prevention behavior between serodiscordant and seroconcordant couples at the Bekasi Grapiks Foundation.

Abstract

Background. Indonesia's population has increased from 265,015.3 million in 2018 to 268,074.6 million in 2019. The government has created a program to intervene in the problem of uncontrolled population growth, namely the family planning (KB) program which is promoted and effective is the Long-Term Contraception Method (MKJP) with implants is one of the superior contraceptives of the BKKBN. Objective. This study aimed to to see the selection of implants and their determinations. Method. This study used a quantitative study with cross sectional analytic survey method. Sample of 85 acceptors from 560 were selected using simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out through interviews using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using chi-square test. Results. Study found 11.8% of respondents used the implant method. 71.8% respondents have less knowledge, 65.9% of respondents have a negative attitude, 83.5% of respondents think that the role of health workers is still lacking, and 67.1% of respondents did not get support from their husbands. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge, the role of health workers, and husband's support with the choice of implant contraception, while attitudes showed no relationship with the choice of implant contraception. Conclusion. Knowledge variables, the role of health workers, and husband's support was related with the choice of implants in respondents.

Abstract

Background. Marriage at an early age has a negative impact on adolescents in physical, psychological, and biological aspects. Marriage at an early age is closely related to traditions in society such as arranged marriage. Objective. This study aimed to to explore the socio-culture related to early marriage on Selayar Island. Method. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive phenomenology approach. Informants include youth, parents, health providers, and community heads. Data were collected using in-depth interviews and focus group discussions following the research objectives. Data were analyzed using domain analysis. Results. Three main domains found in this study related to early marriage are: (1) arranged marriage is a factor that supports early marriage (2) social support from the community supporting marriage at an early age because of the prevailing arranged marriage tradition in the society (3) the knowledge possessed by the community and adolescents is still lacking about the impact of early marriage Conclusion: Social culture in the community can be an approach to reducing early marriage.
