Abstract

The background of this research is based on the importance of students' conceptual understanding of geometry in the context of mosque construction. The geometry of the space has an important role in creating a beautiful and meaningful mosque design. The aim of this research is to understand the extent to which the PMRI approach can be applied to spatial geometry in the context of mosque construction. This research uses a design research method with a PMRI (Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education) approach for class VIII students at Ulul Albab Takokak Cianjur Integrated Qur'an Middle School with a focus on Geometry and Space Building material. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are that students can find out how the concept of building space can be applied to everyday life, especially in building mosques.

Abstract

The Indonesian government adopted a new policy for the education system to improve the quality of education. One of the policies implemented is the elimination of the National Examination, which is a tool for assessing student learning outcomes at the end of each level of education against national standards. The National Examination was replaced with a Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) and Character Survey. AKM focuses on students' abilities in reading and writing or known as literacy and numeracy. Numeracy literacy includes understanding mathematical concepts and the ability to apply these concepts in everyday life. Trigonometry material. This is an important topic in mathematics that involves the relationship between angles and side lengths of a triangle. Therefore, this research was conducted to analyze the numeracy literacy skills of class The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The research results showed that the numeracy literacy skills of students in the low category were 40%, in the medium category were 47%, and in the high category were 13%.

Abstract

Mathematics is a mandatory subject that students need to master, but many still think it is not related to life. This is evidenced by the fact that Indonesia's PISA score is below the average. The test results themselves are usually related to and can be influenced by learning discipline that coincides with learning independence, but can learning independence alone have a significant effect on test results. This study aims to see a relationship between learning independence and the results of the PISA test at SMP Plus Nurul Hidayah Pasundan. This was done by collecting data in the form of PISA test results and self-learning questionnaires. With several tests carried out, it is proven that independent learning can influence the results of the PISA test questions with a significance value of 0.000011335039557777 with the interpretation that there is a positive and significant relationship. The strength of the influence caused by independent learning is at 78.4%, meaning that independent learning greatly influences the results of the PISA test questions.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' understanding of social arithmetic material and its role in the real world. This research uses a design research method that designs social arithmetic material with the PMRI approach and Learning Trajectory for class VII using the concept of zakat maal. The results of the study found that learning social arithmetic in the context of zakat helps students to relate arithmetic concepts to the real world and understand the role of arithmetic in zakat management. Students can see how arithmetic is used in calculating the amount of zakat, distributing zakat to mustahik, and managing zakat funds effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between numeracy literacy skills and self-efficacy of private junior high school students in Bandung City, namely SMP Muhammadiyah 6. This study uses multivariate correlation method with a sample of 10 students with random sampling technique. The instruments used in this research are numeracy literacy test and self-efficacy questionnaire. The data were processed by descriptive and inferential quantitative methods. The results showed that students' numeracy literacy skills from the test results and questionnaire results showed no influence between the two variables. The conclusion of this study is that students who have low or high numeracy literacy skills have no influence on self-efficacy, this is based on the results of student questionnaires.

Abstract

Ethnomatematics is a science that studies or unites culture with mathematics. Culture is a habit of the people that is often carried out every day and Mathematics has many benefits for human life, so without realizing it, many mathematical concepts are applied in everyday life. Like calculating sizes and drawing a plane shape, buying and selling transactions are related to integer operations. This is in line with the research conducted, namely studying and analyzing ethnomathematics exploration in making tofu in Cibuntu which is a daily livelihood in order to obtain basic information in developing ethnomathematics for learning mathematics in the field of geometry specifically on the shape and size of tofu and learning mathematics in the field of social arithmetic specifically in tofu price. The goal in making Ethnomathematics is to harmonize the culture of the Cibuntu residents into the concept of Mathematics. The method used in this study is the Exploration method, which is to search in depth about Cibuntu Tofu. The instruments used in this study were interviews and documentation.

Abstract

Student-oriented classroom is the fertile ground for students to develop core literacy of mathematics. The new curriculum standard emphasizes the teaching concept of "student-oriented". In the teaching activities, teachers should give full play to the subject status of students, return the classroom to students, so that students can better show themselves, so that they can master mathematical knowledge and develop the core literacy of mathematics subject naturally. However, at present, the classroom atmosphere of some middle school mathematics students' classroom reform pilot middle schools has not reached the ideal effect. There are some problems in the teaching classroom, such as ignoring students' main position, ignoring students' initiative in learning, and teachers' student-oriented concept is not thorough enough. This paper aims to develop students' core literacy. By studying the current situation of the mathematics students-based classroom in junior middle school and putting forward strategies to solve the problems, the teaching mode of the student-oriented classroom is improved.
