Abstract

This study aims to find out in depth about how much influence gender has on the mathematical creative thinking ability of junior high school students who have previously received the Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) learning approach. The method in this study uses quantitative secondary data analysis methods. The data collection technique used is documentation. Documentation is taken from a thesis that has a relevant topic/title with the same purpose. While the data analysis used in this study is the Covariance Analysis test (Ancova). The Ancova test aims to see how much gender influences the ability to think creatively in mathematics, while before the Ancova test is carried out, prerequisite tests are carried out, namely the Normality test and Homogeneity Test. The results of this study indicate that there is no influence of gender on students' creative thinking abilities. The value of the R Squared Multiple Determination Coefficient obtained is 0.041, which means 4.1% of the achievement of students' creative thinking abilities is influenced by gender factors. The remaining 95.9% is influenced by other factors, one of which is the RME learning approach carried out by previous researchers. So it can be said that the gender factor does not have a major influence on the achievement of students' mathematical creative thinking skills in the mathematics learning carried out.

Abstract

This research is based on the low level of students completing PISA questions. One of the factors that influence the low number of students in PISA questions is that they are not used to working on problems in real context. The purpose of this study is to describe students' mistakes in solving PISA questions on Space and Shape content based on Newman's Theory, namely: reading errors, misunderstanding, transformation errors, process skill errors and notation errors or writing answers. This study uses descriptive qualitative data collection in the form of images and sentences described. The subjects in this study were eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 in Cimahi City. Data collection techniques in this study are by giving a test in the form of PISA questions on Space and Shape content in 2012. Based on the results of the study, showed that students experience errors in process skills caused by the lack of PISA practice exercises which are international assessments, as well as students' weakness in skills mathematics in the form of real contexts.

Abstract

Mathematics learning aims to train students to observe, think, and express the real world with mathematical vision. However, in the traditional static concept teaching mode, teachers tend to use the concept formation or expository method, so most students cannot understand abstract concepts in class but have to do exercises to consolidate their understanding of concepts, which does not meet the requirements of cultivating talents with core mathematical literacy. Literature research method: To understand the current research status of APOS theory on mathematics concept teaching at home and abroad, this study consulted relevant books, journals, papers, and network resources at home and abroad. This paper discusses it based on the history of mathematics and provides practical guidance for teachers on designing student-centered teaching activities based on APOS theory. Based on the teaching design under the APOS theory, problem-solving is used to gradually guide students to abstract mathematical concepts and learn to think about the real world with mathematical thinking. Teachers will also diagnose students' learning stages through problem-solving situations and constantly debug math classes suitable for students. In guiding students to think, explore and interact, teachers create cognitive conflicts many times, encourage students to question questions, and give full play to students' subjectivity.

Abstract

The theory of rethinking teaching originated from the European and American countries, and then it was paid attention to gradually in our country. Reflective teaching theory is an important means to enhance teachers' thinking ability and students' learning ability and improve teaching quality. Based on the overview of reflective teaching theory and its teaching strategies, the author discusses the teaching practice of reflective teaching theory in the middle school mathematics proposition lesson of the same triangle decision lesson, in order to provide reference for improving teachers' professional quality and students’ learning ability.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of solving mathematical problems in the subjects of a two-variable linear equation system in terms of field-dependent cognitive style. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were 15 grade VIII students in one of the public junior high schools in Cimahi City. In this study, the instrument used was a problem-solving test consisting of 2 questions on the material of a two-variable linear equation system and interviews for 3 students with field dependent cognitive style. The results showed that the steps of solving mathematical problems of students with cognitive style field dependent were categorized as good at the stage of understanding the problem and re-examining, categorized enough at the stage of planning completion, and categorized less at the stage of implementing the completion plan. This means, if field dependent students can understand the problem or problem, it will affect the next step.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyse the problem associated with the geometry instructional materials for grade 1 students using the Rasch model. This is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach used to obtain information on the Wright map, item measure, and fit for instructors. Data were obtained by distributing a questionnaire containing 10 questions to 30 first-grade students in 192 Public Elementary Schools in Pekanbaru through Google form. The data collected were analysed using the Rasch model assisted by the Winstep or ministep version 3.73 application. The result showed that items 2 and 3 contained very difficult and easy questions, with a 0.30 indicating difficulty level. In conclusion, the test items used are valid and generally not difficult for students

Abstract

The aim of this research is to integrate Hawgent dynamic mathematics software into geometry learning to help teachers explain concepts and students understand the basic concept of volume of cone in 6th grade of elementary school. The research was conducted at Ningcheng Third Experimental Primary School with the population being all 6th grade students of the 2021/2022 school year. Sampling with a cluster random sampling technique and selected 40 students of 6th grade as the sampling class. In this teaching experiment research, the researcher was using a BOPPPS model based on the APOS theory. The research results showed that 79.49% of the students agree that the integrating Hawgent dynamic mathematics software into cone volume geometry learning process can help them understand the concept of cone volume. Integrating Hawgent dynamic mathematics software improves their interest in learning, the basis of in-depth understanding of knowledge, and the accuracy of the problem. In addition, information, communication and technology is highly integrated with classroom teaching, which can enrich classroom content and improve learning efficiency.

Abstract

The 20th report clearly emphasizes the importance of training innovative talents, and the cultivation of higher-order thinking has been paid attention to. Micro-lesson is a new teaching method to cultivate and develop students' high-level thinking. Taking cylindrical surface micro-lesson design as an example, this paper, starting from practice, compares the micro-lesson design and fragment record before and after optimization, and puts forward suggestions for optimization design: Pay attention to the construction of knowledge system and develop general thinking; Pay attention to summary reflection, form critical thinking; Pay attention to situation creation and develop innovative thinking; Focus on problem chain design and develop logical thinking. In order to provide reference for primary school mathematics classroom micro-lesson design. In order to provide reference for primary school mathematics classroom micro- lesson design.
