Abstract

The use of Information Technology (IT) now plays an essential role in the success of an organization's business. By storing information digitally, a company is able to access customer information and process its orders quickly. A doctor can immediately give action to patients after accessing complete patient medical records without having to unpack paper files stored in the hospital. This can be done thanks to the computer-based system used to process information, specifically the Management Information System (SIM). Imelda Perkaja Indonesia Hospital is a Type B referral hospital in Medan City, North Sumatra, where there are often patients who are unable to make payments after treatment both outpatient and inpatient, especially patients pay themselves, where every patient who is unable to pay, this author makes a patient receivables payment system. Management utilizes PHP programming language and MySql database where patient receivables data has been recorded by the computer and the validation process of patient receivables payments, as for several features in this patient receivables information system where patient data input and patient receivables recording can be done.

Abstract

The service indicator reporting information system at Imelda Hospital is designed for data processing and information presentation, especially about hospital service indicator reporting data that is easily accessible to officers anywhere and anytime, and can help the data processing process that will produce information so that the system work process can be well integrated and does not require a long time to search for data, data processing, and storing data. This study aims to design and create a Service Indicator Reporting Information System in hospitals and make it easier for officers to be faster and more precise in their services. This type of research uses a phenomenological approach method where researchers try to understand deeply the phenomenon under study. The results of this research show that the number of beds in the SIMRS application at IPI General Hospital. Where the number of beds in the SIMRS application is 322 beds while the actual number of beds or registered in the operational permit of IPI RSU is 276 beds. So that it greatly affects the report of hospital indicators at IPI General Hospital. Overall, the system that the author proposes has been proven to be more precise, fast and accurate than the results of reports from SIMRSU IPI and or from the results of manual calculations carried out by officers when reporting in the previous period. The hospital service indicator report produced by the system proposed by the author is better than the report produced by SIMRSU IPI. However, the overall report on hospital service indicators at IPI Hospital is still below the standards of the Ministry of Health.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the global economy, but often face challenges in competing in complex markets. Effective data management is key to improving the competitiveness of MSMEs, where Big Data analytics promises great potential. Big Data analytics enables MSMEs to gain in-depth insights into customer behavior, market trends, and better business decisions. However, the implementation of Big Data in MSMEs is not free from challenges such as limited human and technical resources. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to investigate the implementation of Big Data in improving the competitiveness of MSMEs. The results show that the benefits of Big Data for MSMEs include deeper market understanding, improved business decisions, operational efficiency, personalization of customer experiences, and detection of risks and opportunities. Strategies to overcome these challenges include increasing access to finance, skills development, technology utilization, collaboration, and regulatory compliance. It is also important to pay attention to data security and privacy, with policy implications such as providing access and training, developing policy frameworks, industry and academic collaboration, increasing awareness, and financial support. With proper implementation and adequate policy support, MSMEs can leverage the potential of Big Data to increase their competitiveness in an increasingly complex and dynamic market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Information Technology (IT) in rural communities. Amidst rapid technological developments, rural communities have also begun to adopt IT, although they still face various obstacles such as limited infrastructure and low digital literacy. Through literature studies and previous research, it was found that the use of IT has had a significant impact on rural communities, including social, economic changes, and access to health and education services. However, greater efforts are still needed to increase IT adoption in rural areas and overcome existing obstacles. Further research is also needed to better understand the factors that influence IT adoption and its long-term impact on rural development. Thus, this study is expected to provide valuable insights for policy makers, practitioners, and academics in efforts to improve digital inclusion and the welfare of rural communities.
