Abstract

The base of the pelvis is a complex of tissue that lies between peritoneum viseralis and the vulva skin, which plays a role in supporting viseralis’ organ s in the pelvis to remain in position and function normally resulting in reduced muscular underside of the pelvic base or pudendal nerve asa result of labor from the labor of the baby’s head on the vagina.Objektive: To determine the management of physiotherapy in increasing sexual function with the method of sexiology gymnastics and kegel exercise of mom multiport-natal pervaginas.Result: After 14 treatments, the results were obtained, there was an increase in pelvic floor muscle strength and an increase in female sexual function. Based on the graph of pelvic floor muscle strength as measured by a perineometer, it can be seen that the effect of giving exercise is from T0 6 mmHg, T6 16 mmGg, dan T14 30 mmHg. Then the graph of pelvic floor muscle strength as measured by vaginal palpation can be seen the effect of giving exercise, namely from T0 2, T6 3, dan T14 4. From the results of the graph of sexual function as easured by the FSFI questionnaire, it can be seen that there is an increase in the patient’s sexual function, namely T0 26,6 to T14 29,7.Conclusion: Sexiological Gymnastics and Kegel Exercise can increase the sexual function and elementary tenets of the pelvic floor muscle strength. Keywords: Sexual Function, Sexiology Exercise, and Kegel Exercise

Abstract

Abstract

Pregnancy is a condition where a woman is pregnant and lasts for about 40 weeks. When women enter the second and third trimesters, they will experience enlarged stomachs and changes in body structure which cause certain complaints. One of the most common complaints experienced by pregnant women is back pain. One way to deal with lower back pain is to do Pilates. Pilates is a recovery method that aims to improve the coordination and balance of the muscles in the body, focusing on the pelvic and abdominal muscles. This research seeks to investigate how pilates exercises impact the reduction of lower back pain in pregnant women during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. This study used an experimental design with measurements before and after treatment for 3 weeks, with an intervention frequency of 2 times a week. The total sample involved was 22 pregnant women who experienced lower back pain. Pain was measured using a visual analogue scale, before and after the intervention. The data obtained were analyzed by statistical tests using the Shapiro-Wilk Test, and then the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings indicated that the data did not follow a normal distribution, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test revealed a p=0.000, signifying a beneficial impact of pilates exercise in alleviating lower back pain among pregnant women during their second and third trimesters before and after the interventionKeywords: Pregnancy, Lower Back Pain, Pilates Exercise.

Abstract

As they get older, the elderly will experience a decline in several body functions, one of which is cognitive function. As the center of thinking power, the brain also requires care, namely by carrying out simple movements followed by various components of brain function such as vision, imagination, hearing and emotions. This can be done by doing a brain vitalization gym. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the brain vitalitation gym in improving the cognitive function of the elderly. The design of this research is Quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest one group design approach. The population in this study was all elderly people at the Biaro Community Health Center totaling 318 people, the sample in this study was 10 elderly people. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling. Cognitive function was measured using the MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination). The results showed that the average cognitive function before the brain vitalization gym intervention was 16.20 and after the intervention it was 23.10. The p value = 0.000 means that there is an increase in cognitive function after being given Brain Vitalitation Gym Keywords: Brain Vitalitation Gym, Cognitive Function, Elderly

Abstract

Physiotherapy intervention is beneficial in terms of prevention of postoperative complications and improves functional capacity. However, limited evidences on optimal exercise prescription for post CABG patients.  Therefore, this study intended to compare of functional capacity between once and twice daily physiotherapy interventions following Coronary Artery Bypass Graft patients. This double-blind randomized controlled trial. After surgery, 62 patients were randomly assigned across 2 groups. Group 1 received once daily physiotherapy intervention which included deep breathing exercises, incentive spirometer, chest physiotherapy and early mobilization. Group 2 received twice daily physiotherapy intervention with similar protocol as Group 1. 6MWT were assessed on post-operative day 2 and were reassessed before discharged.v62 patients, 58 (93.5%) males were included, with a mean age of 58 ±9.8 years. After the analysis, both groups had significant increase in the 6MWT mean distances before discharge (Group 1: 119.2 ±20.9 vs 277.6±25.7 m, p=0.00; Group 2: 127.6 ±24.9 vs 298.5 ±36.9 m, p=0.00). Group 2 had significant difference in overall mean difference of 6MWT (14.7 m, p=0.019). The mean distance in the present study did not meet the 25 meters MCID. However, the 6MWD MCID values of 25 meters still fall within the upper bound of the confidence interval 14.66 ± 26.84, ±2.47.The twice daily physiotherapy intervention had significant effects in 6MWT distances. Keywords: exercise; functional capacity; cardiac rehabilitation; early mobilization.
