Abstract

This observational study aims to describe the implementation of Character Education Strengthening (PPK) at SMP Negeri 15 Mataram through intracurricular, cocurricular, and extracurricular activities. Observations were conducted through interviews with school officials and observations of routine programs and character building. The results indicate that the school has implemented the PPK program systematically, referring to the Pancasila Student Profile. Various activities such as Friday Imtak (Friday Prayer), literacy, Scouting, and 24 extracurricular activities serve as the primary means of instilling character values. Challenges faced include differences in student character and minimal family support. The school addresses these through active communication with parents and cross-agency collaboration. This study concludes that PPK implementation is effective, but requires greater support from families.

Abstract

Learning the Qur'an and Hadith in Islamic schools often faces challenges in maintaining student motivation and engagement because the methods used tend to be monotonous and teacher-centered. To overcome this, more engaging and interactive strategies are needed to actively engage students in understanding the values of the Qur'an and Hadith. One relevant approach is gamification based on the Quiz Competition (LCC), which combines game elements such as competition, points, and awards into the learning process. This study aims to describe the process of implementing LCC gamification in Qur'an and Hadith learning, identify emerging obstacles, and assess the results and their impact on student understanding. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The research subjects included Qur'an Hadith teachers, 30 ninth-grade students of MTs I'anatuth Tholibin Sukabumi, and the principal as an additional informant. The results showed that LCC increased student engagement, motivation, and understanding of the Qur'an Hadith material. Obstacles that emerged included time constraints and class control due to high student enthusiasm. The teacher overcame these by adjusting the time and more active class management. Overall, the implementation of LCC effectively created a competitive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere for students.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping ethical economic behavior through the internalization of Islamic values. One of the primary sources of Islamic economic ethics is the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), which contains moral principles governing economic activities, such as honesty, trustworthiness, justice, balance, and social responsibility. This study aims to analyze hadith-based economic ethics within Islamic educational thought and to examine its relevance in fostering just and sustainable economic behavior. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods. Data were collected from the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad, classical and contemporary hadith commentaries, as well as reputable international journal articles related to Islamic education and Islamic economics. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis using a thematic approach. The findings indicate that the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad encompasses comprehensive and contextual economic ethical values that can serve as a foundational framework for Islamic educational thought. These values are not only normative but also practical in shaping students’ economic character. Islamic education plays a crucial role in internalizing hadith-based economic ethics through integrative and contextual learning processes. This study concludes that strengthening Islamic education grounded in hadith-based economic ethics contributes to the development of individuals who are not only economically competent but also possess strong moral integrity and social responsibility.

Abstract

This study addresses the problem of a gap between the objectives of the Dhuha Prayer Habituation Program and the persistent disciplinary issues among students at MA Nagrak Madani Sukabumi. Its purpose is to analyze the program's implementation, effectiveness in shaping student discipline, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. Employing a qualitative approach with a single instrumental case study method, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the program is systematically implemented through a multidimensional strategy integrating regulatory, motivational, and habituation approaches, with institutional commitment and teacher role modeling as key supports. The program significantly improved students' time management, personal responsibility, and learning readiness, though challenges like facility limitations and uneven intrinsic motivation remain. It is concluded that structured worship habituation is an effective mechanism for internalizing disciplinary character. The study implies that successful character-building programs require a holistic design attentive to local ecological and psychological contexts.

Abstract

The integration of Islamic educational values into the national education system is a strategic effort to realize holistic and character-based education. This study aims to analyze the implementation of integrative Islamic educational values within the curriculum, learning strategies, and character formation of students in alignment with the demands of contemporary education. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method through document analysis and literature review of policies and implementation models of Islamic education. The findings reveal that the integration of Islamic values has been carried out through character-based curriculum development, contextual learning, and the inclusion of spiritual values in academic activities. However, its implementation still faces challenges in curriculum consistency, teacher competence, and coordination between educational and religious institutions. Continuous strategies are needed through curriculum innovation, teacher capacity strengthening, and the cultivation of Islamic values within the school environment so that Islamic education not only remains normative but also forms students’ personalities comprehensively.

Abstract

The jigsaw cooperative learning model is a learning model that involves student participation in small groups to interact with each other. In this cooperative learning system, students learn to work together with other members. In this model, students have two responsibilities: they learn for themselves and help fellow group members learn. Interest in learning itself is a drive within a person to participate in a learning activity with full attention and active involvement. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Jigsaw model in increasing student interest in learning in the subject of Fiqh. In addition, this study also identifies supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of this model and its impact on student engagement in learning. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to obtain a clear picture of the effectiveness of the Jigsaw model in increasing student interest in learning. The results of the study indicate that the jigsaw cooperative learning model is effective in increasing student interest in learning in the subject of Fiqh. With a fun and interactive learning atmosphere, this model not only helps students master the material but also develops social skills and self-confidence. This model helps previously passive students become more engaged in the learning process. Furthermore, the classroom atmosphere becomes more dynamic and enjoyable, so students don't get bored while learning the material. Supporting factors include infrastructure, such as comfortable, clean, and spacious classrooms that support group discussions in the jigsaw model. If classrooms are cramped or unconducive, the learning process can be disrupted, and books are also available. Obstacles include students' lack of enthusiasm and limited time for learning.

Abstract

This article aims to examine legal research methods in Islamic education through normative, empirical, and contextual analysis. Islamic education, as an interdisciplinary field of study, requires a methodological approach capable of bridging Islamic legal norms, the realities of educational practice, and the surrounding social context. This research employs a qualitative approach with library research. Data were obtained from primary sources, including the Quran, Hadith, Islamic education laws and regulations, and secondary sources, including books and articles from reputable national and international journals. The results of the study indicate that normative legal research plays a role in examining the legal and normative foundations of Islamic education, empirical legal research serves to examine the implementation of Islamic educational law in social practice, while a contextual approach enables adaptive legal interpretation to societal dynamics. The integration of these three approaches produces a comprehensive and relevant methodological framework for the development of contemporary Islamic education.
