Abstract

In education for children with autism spectrum disorders or ASD, appropriate learning methods are needed in order to develop their abilities and overcome difficulties due to their limitations. TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication-handicapped Children) is one of the effective methods used in intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders. This study aims to describe the application of the TEACCH method in the learning of students with autism spectrum disorders at the primary education level in special schools. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach through case studies. Data was collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles & Huberman model. The research findings show that the process of implementing TEACCH in special schools goes through the stages of planning, implementation and evaluation. Planning includes: building a teacher's mindset, providing education to educators, forming an acceleration team (program coordinator, curriculum coordinator, and teachers), creating a support system and continuous evaluation. The implementation of TEACCH is shown from its structured teaching activities, namely: clear and coherent activities through a work system, clear and predictable activities through the use of activity schedules, structuring the physical structure of the learning environment, and the use of visual aids. Evaluation was conducted to assess the development of student learning outcomes and teacher performance in teaching.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study with a quantitative approach with the design of One Group Pre-test and Post-test. This study aims to find out the influence of drill methods in improving basic cosmetology skills in deaf children. The subjects used in this study were deaf students of SMPLB class VII in SKh Negeri 02 Kota Serang which amounted to 4 people. Based on the results of inferesial statistical analysis using the wilcoxon test formula (t) indicates that Tcalculate = 0 and based on the critical value for the wilcoxon test at the significance level of 0.05 with the sum N < 7, obtained Ttable = 0, then H0 is rejected because Tcalculate = Ttable This means that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted. This shows that the drill method is influential in improving the basic makeup of deaf children in SKh Negeri 02 Serang City.

Abstract

The goal of the study was to determine the use of diferential reinforcement of low rates (DRL) positive strengthening methods to reduce verbal impulsive behavior in ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)children. Quantitative research method experiments Single Subject Research (SSR) with design A-B-A. Thesubject in this study was 1 (one) ADHD student in the 12th grade of SKh Bina Citra Anak Serang High School, Banten. Data collection uses observation techniques performed during the prior, administration of interventions, and after the intervention. This study was conducted in the school for 15 observations conducted in three phases, namely 5 baseline sessions before the intervention (A1), 6 sessions in the intervention phase (B), and 4 sessions in the baseline phase (A2). In this study, a reduction in the rate of verbal impulsive behavior cut off the speech of others after the use of the DRL method from the previous results of the average score of the appearance of verbal impulsive behavior that is 1 time / minute reduced to 0.6 times / minute.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study with a quantitative approach with the design of One Group Pre-test and Post-test. The study aims to determine the influence of demonstration methods in improving simple pattern embroidery skills in children's hearing resistance. The subjects in this study were hearing barrier students of SMPLB class VII level in SKh Negeri 02 Kota Serang which amounted to 3 people. Based on the results of inferesial statistical analysis using the wilcoxon test formula (t) to indicate that Thitung = 0 and based on the critical value for the wilcoxon test at the significance level of 0.05 with the sum N < 6, obtained Ttabel = 0, then H0 is rejected because Thitung = Ttabel This means that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted. This shows that the demonstration method is influential in improving the simple pattern embroidery skills of deaf children in SKh Negeri 02 Kota Serang.

Abstract

This research aims to know the correlation between achievement motivation with academic stress on student of Special Education, Sebelas Maret University who takes the class from home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The population in this study was all students of Special Education, Sebelas Maret University. The sample in this study were 77 students of Special Education, Sebelas Maret University batch of year 2018. The sampling technique used in this study was saturation sampling technique. This research is quantitative research with correlational research type. The data collection techniques in this study used a scale of achievement motivation and scale of academic stress. The data analysis techniques used in this study was Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results of this study have a value (r)=-0.15 and correlation coefficient of 0.896. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between achievement motivation with academic stress on student of Special Education, Sebelas Maret University batch of year 2018 when taking class from home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
