Abstract

This study aims to describe the problem-solving ability of two-variable linear equation system material in students with visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic learning styles. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were grade VIIIB students of SMPN 1 Gunungsari for the 2023/2024 school year, totaling 20 students, with 5 students of visual learning style, 7 students of auditorial learning style, and 8 students of kinesthetic learning style. The sampling technique is carried out by purposive sampling technique. The research instruments are questionnaires, test questions, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Analysis is carried out based on John Dewey's stages, namely facing problems, defining problems, finding solutions, testing several solutions, and choosing the best hypothesis. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that, students of visual learning style, in general, have high problem-solving skills because they are able to carry out all five stages. Students of auditorial learning style, in general, have high problem-solving skills, where auditorial students are able to carry out all five stages. Meanwhile, the kinesthetic learning style has moderate problem-solving abilities, where kinesthetic students are only able to carry out four stages, because at the stage of choosing the best hypothesis, kinesthetic students are not able to carry it out

Abstract

Under-Five Mortality rate refers to the probability a new-born would die before reaching exactly 5 years of age, expressed per 1,000 or 100,000 live births. The Five Child-Killer Diseases used in this study are Pneumonia, Diarrhoea, Measles, Tetanus and Polio. The study used Ex post facto design with quantitative approach. A secondary data of the Five-Child Killer Diseases and Under-Five Mortality were obtained from the twenty-one (21) Local Government Primary Health Care Development Agency in Adamawa State between the periods of 2008 to 2022. The study measured the mortality rate due to the Five Child-Killer Diseases and its Cause-effect on the Overall Under-Five Mortality Irrespective of Diseases in the study area and then develop a model for future prediction. Based on the finding, the Overall Under-Five Mortality rate increases from 112 to 314 deaths per thousand live births between 2008 and 2012, followed by a sudden decrease from 261 to 90 deaths from 2013 to 2016 and then fluctuate throughout the rest of the period under review.  Individually, the largest contributor of Under-Five Mortality among the Five Child-killer Diseases is Diarrhea with 89 deaths per thousand live births in 2011, followed by Measles with 39 deaths in the same year. The regression model revealed a positive and insignificant causal relationship between deaths due to Pneumonia, Diarrhoea and Measles on Overall Under-Five Mortality in the study area. The regression model also explained that; at zero deaths due to the Five Child-Killer Diseases, the Overall Under-Five Mortality is more than 105 deaths in the study area.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using audiovisual media on students' mathematics learning outcomes in online learning supplements. This type of research is experimental research. The population in this study were class VIII students, with the sample determined using random sampling techniques. The sample in this study consisted of 76 students, namely class VIII-A as the experimental class and class VIII-B students as the control class. The instrument used is a test of student learning outcomes. The data analysis used is the normality test and homogeneity test as a prerequisite test and the t test as a hypothesis test and effect size test to determine whether there is an influence from the use of audio-visual media on student learning outcomes. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t test, the significance level was obtained  obtained  And  where these results show that  so that  rejected and  accepted. The effect size test results obtained a result of 0.804 which is in the high category, which means that there is an influence of the use of audio-visual media on students' mathematics learning outcomes in online learning supplements

Abstract

The price of the paddy has significant fluctuations as BPS mentioned that the average price of dry  paddy harvested at the farmer level decreased in February 2022 by 3.2% from January 2022. Hence, crop industry businesses continue to face significant uncertainty risk. The purpose of this study is to discuss the use of the Fuzzy Time Series Model Lee for predicting future paddy prices in order to calculate crop insurance premium using Black Scholes model with cash or nothing put option approach. This is because crop industry is one of the agricultural products that Indonesia is capable of producing in large quantities. As a result, crop insurance should be purchased by farmers to protect against crop yield losses. Aside from that, the price of paddy fluctuates significantly. Therefore to reduce the loss of revenue from reductions in decreasing of crop yield or even crop failure, it needs to provide the insurance based on the paddy prices to protect the paddy prices itself from the large fluctuations at the farmer level. Based on the analysis of this study, generates result for January 2022, February 2022, and March 2022 are 4547.41, 4547.41, and 4701.62 respectively. With the accuracy level is 0.05%. Therefore, the insurance premiums based on the prediction result is 2,775,579. The implication or benefit of this thesis is for the other parties such as farmer

Abstract

The competition of two populations model that represented in an ordinary differential equations system. This model describes about the competition of two population in general that is consist of the interspesies competition and the intraspesies competition. In ecology, the population dynamic is closely related to population growth, equilibrium, and stability. Equilibrium is represented by a point called the equilibrium point or fixed point. By analyzing the stability around the fixed point, it can be seen the carrying capacity of a system, which mean the optimal number of individual that can be supported by the environment. According to the analysis of the model obtained 4 fixed points, three of them are unstable and the other else is stable. The orbit of the system around fixed point visualized using software. The behavior orbit around fixed point of the model will move away from the unstable fixed point and move closer to the stable fixed point.
