Abstract

Critical thinking ability is one of the high-level thinking abilities in solving problems. Several learning models can be applied to improve students' critical thinking skills. Some of these models include problem based learning, discovery learning, project based learning, and so on. This research is a literature study or literature review of 25 articles related to students' critical thinking abilities. The articles reviewed are articles published during the last 5 years, 2018 to 2022. Based on the results of a literature review that was carried out on 25 national and international articles, the highest average score for critical thinking ability was 92.56. This value was obtained by applying the discovery learning model through integrated science practicum activities. Therefore, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model is the most effective model for improving students' critical thinking abilities. The value of critical thinking ability that most often appears in the range of 71-80 in 11 articles.

Abstract

This literature review article (literature study) aims to identify the effectiveness of e-modules in improving students' critical thinking skills in high school science learning (Biology, Physics, Chemistry). A literature study was carried out to find and understand articles discussing the effectiveness of e-modules and critical thinking skills in high school science learning. The research results show that the Android-based Selvo E-Module (Volta Cell) and the HOTS-based physics e-module are effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in high school science learning with an increase in test results in the 61-65 range.

Abstract

Education is a process of sharing knowledge, knowledge, value conversion, character formation with various supporting aspects with a specific aim in the plan to develop human potential. Currently, many students are unable to apply the results of chemistry learning in their daily lives, this can be triggered by inadequate selection of learning resources, resulting in low student motivation and scientific literacy. This requires a teacher's creativity in the learning process so that the quality of students' learning can increase. One way that can be done is to link learning materials with local culture which can later increase students' scientific knowledge and increase students' motivation and scientific literacy. This research aims to find out learning LKPD by applying ethnoscience learning to chemistry material. The method used in this research is a literature review. Based on the literature review that has been carried out, it can be concluded that selecting appropriate and ethnoscience-based learning resources ranging from 63.76 to 97.15 can improve students' scientific literacy abilities.

Abstract

This literature study aims to examine the effect of live students’ worksheet interactive on students' ability to increase scientific literacy in science lessons. Search for literature study articles obtained to meet the inclusion criteria and be relevant for review. This research uses secondary data obtained from not direct observation. The data collection method used is the documentation method by searching for data from literature related to the research. Students’ worksheet interactive assisted by live worksheets can increase students' scientific literacy, in addition it can also increase students' creativity, critical thinking and scientific studies of science lessons.
