Abstract

This study aims to discuss the concept of curriculum in an Islamic perspective originating from the interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an and Al-Hadith (Qurdis), their relevance/comparison with curriculum theory in general, and their implications in Islamic education. Using descriptive qualitative methods with literature studies, the researcher concludes that there are many interpretations of the curriculum in the practice of Islamic education, especially in Indonesia so that it has implications for the diversity of Islamic religious-based education systems in Indonesia, ranging from the school system, madrasas to Islamic boarding schools. In the pesantren itself, there are various styles of the education system, such as salaf, modern and a blend of salaf and modern boarding schools.

Abstract

The emergence of a religious climate that does not reflect of multiculturalism and pluralism lately, which is marked by the strengthening of radical, exclusive, intolerant attitudes and behaviors in responding to others, along with theological racism, raises big questions about the role of pesantren in maintaining religious pluralism. Based on above reality, this research focuses on comparing two Islamic boarding schools, NU and Muhammadiyah, in Jember, related to the construction of multicultural education development, which includes the ideas related to the significance of multicultural education, and the response to the implementation of multicultural education in the education system of NU and Muhammadiyah pesantren. The results of this research, both the Al-Qodiri Islamic Boarding School or the Pakusari Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School see the need for multicultural education, but how to apply it, there are differences between them. Although in general the Al-Qodiri Islamic Boarding School and the Modern Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School respond well to multicultural education, both have different response to the implementation of multicultural education values.

Abstract

This study is intended to answer the following problems: (1) What is the general concept of Spiritual Quotient? (2) What is the concept of spiritual quotient in Islamic Education Perspective? This article belongs to the type of library research, which is a series of activities related to the method of collecting library data, reading, taking notes, and processing research materials which are library research or pure research. All data were analyzed with a philosophical approach (Philosophical Approach). This study shows that: (1) Spiritual intelligence means the ability to know and understand ourselves fully as spiritual beings and as part of the universe. Western SQ is more oriented to the completion and achievement of worldly happiness, while Islamic SQ is more to the achievement of world and hereafter happiness. If both are used ideally, SQ can be implemented to achieve "happiness" both in this world and in the hereafter. (2) The concept of Spiritual Quotient in the perspective of Islamic education is spirituality education that can sharpen the quality of spiritual intelligence, namely the values ??of spirituality itself which are aimed at education.

Abstract

Islamic Education is open to any ideas that come from other knowledge clumps. This open-access should make Religion teachers think about conveying the perspective of Islam using an interdisciplinary rather than monodisciplinary approach. This study initiated the development of Islamic Education material using an interdisciplinary approach, with the following problem formulations: first, what are the concepts and weaknesses of Islamic Education material development using a monodisciplinary approach? second, how does the concept offer Islamic Education material development using an interdisciplinary approach? The purpose of this study is to transform the development of Islamic Religious Education material with Indonesian Islamic values. By using a qualitative approach, content analysis, and qualitative descriptive methods. This study concludes: first, the concept of developing Islamic Education material using a monodisciplinary approach still uses only one clump of religious knowledge in its delivery, which results in an exclusive understanding of religion. Second, the concept of Islamic Education learning that uses an interdisciplinary approach can present religious studies by involving social studies, humanism, environmental issues, gender, Indonesianness, and politics.

Abstract

This article examines the prenatal education of children according to the letter Maryam with the aim of seeing and describing the process of prenatal education that Maryam did to educate the prophet Isa before birth. This research include literature research using descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection in this case prefers to identify discourse from the Alquran, books, journals or other information related to the research title. The data analysis technique used is content analysis of the collected data. The results of this study indicate that the first of the psychological aspects shown by Maryam in the process of prenatal education is always being obedient in worship, dzhikr and having enough rest to stay away from things that can cause stress, in this way it will directly impact the child to worship Allah. Second, the physical aspects shown by Maryam in the prenatal education process can include the stages of choosing a mate who has a religious attitude, the stages of biological relationships and the stages of consumsing nutritious foods (dates). In this way it will have a good impact on the growth and development of fetal life, to the level of intelligence of children after birth.

Abstract

Cultivating a good and noble character is the complete responsibility of parents, both hablun minallah, hablun minannas and hablun minal alam. One of the efforts is through the habit of reciting the Koran in the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPQ). This activity is per the concept of Ki Hajar Dewantara's Tri-Center for Education, namely that informal, formal, and non-formal education are related and complement each other in developing children's character. This study aims to describe the efforts of parents in cultivating the Islamic character of their children through the habit of reciting the Koran at the Darul Muttaqin Benculuk Educational Park in Banyuwangi. This research uses a qualitative case study approach: Collecting data using participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The study concluded that good character is formed through the activities like enforcing prayer, fasting, zakat, praying and being grateful, helping each other, forgiving each other, being polite and courteous, littering, loving animals, and caring for each other plants.

Abstract

The process of treating corpses requires skill, therefore repeated experience is needed. The existence of a laboratory is very important, both used in the introduction of material in theory and practice. In practice, the care of corpse requires learning resources, teaching aids and so on to support the implementation of corpse care practices. This study aimed to determine the existence of the PAI laboratory seen from the conditions, management and use of the PAI laboratory in the practice of corpse care materials. The method in this study used a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that the conditions of the PAI laboratory met the comfort requirements of the PAI laboratory. The PAI Laboratory management has an organizational structure and is in charge of the PAI laboratory inventory. The use of PAI laboratory in the practice of caring for corpses was carried out in semester 4 (four), namely class 2 even semester. In the implementation of the practice of caring for the corpse, it began with "breafing" as a provision of practice, the core activities of caring for the corpse were bathing, shrouding, praying and burying the corpse. As well as closing activities, namely giving wisdom from the care of corpses carried out at the PAI Laboratory.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze issues of reading habits among school students in Malaysia. This study used a qualitative method by conducting semi-structured interviews with school leaders, teachers, and parents in urban and rural areas. Sample selection used the purposive sampling method. Criteria in selecting study participants were position, teaching experience, background related to students' reading habits, and willingness to participate in this study. The findings of this study were analyzed using thematic methods. The analysis of the issues in urban areas resulted in five (5) themes for urban areas, while there were nine (9) themes for rural areas. These themes have been arranged according to the priority of the issue. The themes of issues faced in urban areas consist of (i) Students' Attitudes and Reading Awareness, (ii) Current Reading Programs Need to Be Improved, (iii) Changes in Reading Styles and Technological Developments, (iv) Aspects of Students' Environment That Do Not Support Reading Habits and (v) No Specific Time Allocation for Reading Activities. The results of the analysis of the findings of the study with participants in rural areas consist of (i) Lack of Family Support, (ii) No facilities, (iii) Students' Attitudes and Reading Awareness, (iv) Lack of Interesting Resources and Reading Materials, (v) Limited Reading Resources, (vi) Lack of Teacher Training on Reading Practice Skills, (vii) Aspects of Students' Environment That Do Not Support Reading Habits, (viii) Current Reading Program Need Improvement, (ix) No Clear Guidelines or Profile. The results of this study can serve as a reference, especially at the stakeholder level, such as for the District Education Office, School Administrators, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) as well as for policymakers who may utilize the findings of this study to identify and improve the community and students in Malaysia as a reading community.

Abstract

Discussions relating to women are very important to be studied, so that there is no mistake in placing women's positions. This study aims to describe the equality between men and women. This type of study is library research by collecting secondary data and analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that it is very important to understand and explore the meaning implied in the hadith, because otherwise a distorted understanding will arise.

Abstract

The Indonesian government's efforts to suppress the spread of Covid-19 directly impact the socio-cultural changes of madrasas, the phenomenon of culture shock occurring at all levels of education. This study seeks to describe and analyze the dynamics of socio-cultural changes at MA Miftahul Ulum Lumajang after the COVID-19 pandemic using social engineering theory as an analytical tool. The research method uses a phenomenological qualitative approach. The results showed: The socio-cultural changes that occurred in MA Miftahul Ulum Banyuputih Kidul Jatiroto Lumajang during the covid-19 pandemic covered various aspects, both in terms of teaching and learning activities, communication patterns between teachers and students, including the psychological aspects of teachers and students in dealing with learning activities. Teaching (KBM) to create a new paradigm for teachers and students viewing KBM that cannot be limited by space and time.
