Abstract

This is the research about the diet of rice-field rats lived in unsynchronized planting system of paddy field, a condition when paddy field are heterogen in term of stages. At that kind of field, carbohydrate supplies, in a form of bootig to harvesting of paddy are available at all the time. That condition gives benefit to the rats, since those stages supply the most preference diet and also supply a lot food that act as the main factor support its reproduction. The preference of the best supporting-food for reproduction were proved by the presence of it and prevalence of reproduction respectively. The result of this research can be use an ecological learning material for he who wants to study about eco-physiology. This research was carried out at all stages of rice plant toward unsynchronized planting system of paddy field of Sukoharjo. Some systematic steps of this research were catching the rat by using the linier trap barrier system (LTBS) and by using the fumigation, determine its reproductive state which was according to Allen (1920), identify the diet by ventriculus analysis and then give analyze to the data. Ventriculus analysis showed thet rice-field rat to consume the energy-rich food in a form of booting to harvesting paddy stages in every stage of rice. That pattern of food consumption will trigger its reproduction respectively, thus, the reproduction occur continuously. At that case, carbohydrate can be guess as proximate and ultimate limiting factors that lead the reproduction to occur. That eco-physiology phenomenon showed the effect of environment toward the physiology and behavior of organism. That the ecological material to learn. Key Words : Rice-field rats, diet, unsynchronized planting system, ecological learning material

Abstract

The aims of this research were to know the relationship among biological learning difficulties with affective competence and cognitive competence and each contribution to that difficulties toward student of SMUN 8 Surakarta. This research was carried out during academic year of 2004/2005. This was the descriptive quantitative research with ex post facto. The threated student was sampled in amount of 40 students by simple random sampling.  The data obtained was then analized by multivariate-linear regression analysis. The result showed that there was significant difference between biological learning difficulties with affective competence and cognitive competence. The dominant contributor to the difficulties was the affective competence (82,29%). This research also found that there was correlation between those two competences. Key Words : Biological learning difficulties, affective competence, cognitive competence.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to find the contribution of the teacher?s competence and student?s emotional quotient toward the achievement on biologi of the student of SMU Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in the academic year of 2004/2005. The study carried out by descriptive quantitative method. The population of the study was all student of the second grade in SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo, in the academic year of 2004/2005. The sampling teachnique used in the study was random sampling. The technique used for collecting data were questionnaire and documentation technique. The data were then analized by regression analysis. Considering upon the result, the research concluded that there were significant contribution of the : (1) Teacher?s competence to biological learning achievement (rx1y = 0,450 at the level of significant 5 %); (2) Student?s emotional quotient to biological learning achievement (rx2y = 0,410 at the level of significant 5 %); (3) Teacher?s competence and student?s emotional quotient (R = 0,5373 at the level of significant 5 %). Teacher?s competence gives a dominant contribution on biological learning achievement at 56,49%. Teacher?s competence and student?s emotional intelligence give effective contributions on biological learning achievement at 28,8%. Key Words : Teacher?s competence, Student?s emotional quotient, biological learning achievement

Abstract

This is collaborative action research wich carried out toward student of SMP Nergeri 16 Bandar Lampung. The aim of this research was enhancing the self learning motivation by using Problem Based Intruction (PBI) model. The research conducted in 2 cycles, using the criteria of teacher?s performance and student?s ability toward biological learning. The data awas then analized and interpreted to show the improving teacher performance for each cycle. The result showed that the teacher was a good fascilitator (score 2,98 in cycle 1 and 2,93 in cycle), so it?s able to enchace the self learning motivation of student, indicated with the increasing point of the readiness of study, the higly motivated in answer and question interaction, ability in answering the questions, giving opinion, creative, and highly initiative to study. That self learning motivation then gives rise to the average class mark even its equitability thus showed the better teaching and learning processes.   Key Words : Problem Based Intruction (PBI), Self Learning motivation

Abstract

This research aimed to detect the flavonoid content from the leaf of jack fruit (Arocarpus atilis Park.). that leaf has medicinal aspect, since it can be used to decrease the glucose from the blood circulation and act as anti diabethic activity respectively. The detection of flavonoid was carried out by using thin layer chromatography (TLC) with steady phase of silica of GF 254 and the alluent ratio of chloroform: methanol of 98:2. The result obtained the presence flavonoid complexes at that leaf, indicated by yellow apot ad ammoniac steam on the TLC. That result could enrich the biochemistry learning material toward student. Key Words : flavonoid detection, Arocarpus atilis Park

Abstract

Study on implementation of teachning practice guidance by using the appreciable model?s method has been carried out in oerder to enhance the teaching skill of teacher?s andidate in teaching the scientific subject. The model applied by the candidates during teaching was created by the supervisors. The study it self was carried out during the student?s practice of teaching in 3 junior high school, supervised by 3 lecturer and 3 senior teachers. The candidates were then asked to make the review toward that method and disscuss it with the supervisor. The results indicated that appreciable model?s method could be as alternative method used by the candidate an supervisor during the guidance of teacher?s candidate. It was showed by the raising of the candidate?s skill in making the teaching materials preparation, and also the teaching sill respectively. Key Words : teaching practice guadiancce, appreciable model?s method
