Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of product diversity, product quality and brand image onpurchasing decisions for Wardah cosmetics in Batam Center. The population that is the focus of thisresearch is Wardah consumers at Guardian One mall Batam and the number is based on sales data inAugust 2023 of 317 customers. A sample of 177 respondents was selected using the Slovin formula method.Data analysis was carried out using a multiple linear regression approach. The analysis process includestesting data quality tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests and hypothesis tests. The results ofmultiple linear regression analysis show that product diversity has an influence of 23.1% on purchasingdecisions. Product quality has an influence of 25.8% on purchasing decisions. Brand image has an influenceof 36.0% on purchasing decisions. Findings from testing the coefficient of determination (R2) show thatproduct diversity, product quality and overall brand image can explain around 63.8% of the variation inpurchasing decisions. In addition, the results of the t test and F test indicate that product diversity, productquality and brand image, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive and significant influence on thedecision to purchase Wardah cosmetics at Batam Center.

Abstract

According to Law no. 10 of 1998, banks are business entities that collect funds from the public in the form of savings (funding), distribute them to the public in the form of credit (lending) and provide other services in order to improve the standard of living of many people. The regulation of banking governance in Indonesia is in accordance with the spirit of the meaning of MPRS Decree Number MPRS/1966 basically aims to be able to mobilize and develop potential economic power to be deployed to increase people''s prosperity.This type of research is normative legal research, namely legal research carried out by examining library materials or secondary data, also called doctrinal research, where law is often conceptualized as what is written in statutory regulations (law in books) or conceptualized as rules or Norms are standards for human behavior that are considered appropriate. Bank services are banking activities carried out by a bank to facilitate the activities of collecting funds and distributing funds. The more complete the bank services provided, the better it will be, thereby attracting customers. This is because customers feel comfortable carrying out financial activities from just one bank.

Abstract

Indonesia, a major contributor of labor in the fisheries sector, particularly as fishery crew members (ABK),faces challenges where ABK on both domestic and foreign vessels often fall victim to various forms of abuse,including violence, forced labor, and human trafficking. This study adopts a normative approach using a legalmethod to analyze regulations and aims to investigate the main issues confronting the Indonesian fisheriesworkforce, specifically ABK. Research findings reveal inadequate protection due to factors such as insufficientsectoral policies, delays in formulating and implementing regulations, lack of awareness, inadequate datacollection, weak policy enforcement, and limited government attention. To address these challenges, the studyrecommends comprehensive protection involving the fulfillment of basic labor rights and the implementationof capacity development initiatives. Capacity enhancement can be achieved through fiscal policies, operationalsupport, and broader access to information about fishery product usage. Consequently, protection policies forworkers in the capture fisheries sector should be comprehensive, considering economic, legal, and socialaspects across various related sectors.

Abstract

Nowadays there are many conflicts or problems that often occur in a contract agreement, the agreement inquestion is a contractual agreement made by legal subjects in the interest of civil law, in the end of anagreement there are a lot of problems nowadays that arise because many legal subject parties who enter intoan agreement do not understand the procedures for terminating an agreement. This causes a lot of losses toarise for one of the parties and as a result, the party who feels disadvantaged takes legal action. A very bigproblem for the parties involved. at a loss in an agreement, many of the parties terminate or terminate theagreement in bad faith and will cause conflict. It is very unfortunate that the problem of this agreement cannotbe resolved properly by the parties, such as in a contract agreement where the contract is a very authenticagreement, usually when making work contracts and contacts, for example, it is made by people whounderstand the making of such contracts and there is very little if any conflict occurs. However, nowadayscontracts are often problematic even though they are made by competent people, but it is still problematic whythis can happen, of course this happens because in making a contract, there is an agreement that must beprioritized by the parties and also regulates regarding how to end the contract, and also the good faith of theparties if they wish to terminate or end the contract

Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapid development of globalization and technology has significantly impacted the business world, triggering progress and growth. Career choices for students, especially as auditors, have a significant impact on their personal future and also on the industrial growth in Batam City. This research aims to explore the relationship between social values, financial rewards, and labor market considerations on students' interest in choosing a career as an auditor. This research utilizes a quantitative research method. The results show that social values and financial rewards have a positive and significant influence on students' interest in choosing a career as an auditor, while the labor market consideration variable has a negative and insignificant effect on students' interest in choosing a career as an auditor. This study is expected to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the shortage of auditors in Batam. Keywords: Social Value, Financial Reward, Job Market Considerations and Interests.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of news credibility and the type of news on @batamnewsonline Instagram content on followers' level of trust. Information is considered very important nowadays, because information is needed by people to find information about the things they are looking for. The Instagram account @batamnewsonline spreads information especially in Batam City. Fulfilling information needs must have a message that has credibility from the media that conveys the message. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive research type. Based on the results obtained from data processing, it can be concluded that there is an influence of news credibility and the type of news on @batamnewsonline Instagram content on followers' trust with Fringing of 393,164 > Fubl 3,087 and a significance level of 0.000 which is 0.05. The big influence of news credibility and type of news on @batamnewsonline Instagram content on followers' trust is 88.7%.

Abstract

This research was carried out in a high school (SMA) environment with the aim of finding out how teenagers are exposed to Instagram social media content, the uses or interests of teenagers in using Instagram social media and the influence of exposure to Instagram social media content on teenagers' personal character. Instagram is a social media whose active users are teenagers, therefore Instagram social media has a significant personal influence. The research method used in this research is the quantitative method, while the theory used is the S-O-R theory. The population in this study were female students at SMAN 4 Batam with a total of 1,891. Determining the sample in this study used random sampling techniques and the process of determining the number of samples used the Slovin formula so that from this formula a sample of 95 students was produced. Techniques for data analysis use descriptive statistical tests, classical assumption tests, multiple regression and hypothesis tests. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis are Y=20.89 + 0.353, meaning the regression coefficient has a positive value, so it is explained that the direction of the influence of variable X on Y is positive. The results of the coefficient of determination test explain that the influence on the variable exposure to Instagram social media content is 37.6%, while the remaining 62.4% is influenced by variables that are not included in the research that the researchers are currently examining.

Abstract

Social Media is a digital platform or website that facilitates interaction, information exchange, and content sharing among users online. The development of social media has transformed the way humans communicate and present themselves. Digital identity is an extension of physical self into virtual space, and platforms like TikTok provide a space to build and convey that identity. Self-identity refers to an individual's perception and understanding of who they are. The purpose of this research is to understand how the self-identity of Content Creator Dio Prayogi is presented on the front and backstage, as well as how Dio Prayogi engages in face-to-face interactions. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and literature review. The data analysis method utilizes the Miles and Huberman analysis model. The research findings on the self-identity of Content Creator Dio Prayogi reveal that on the front stage, Dio creates a more friendly atmosphere, utilizing humorous language, including jokes, banter, or funny language, often becoming key elements in Dio's speaking style. On the backstage, Dio Prayogi may be more authentic and reflect his personal side. Content creator Dio Prayogi employs interpersonal communication, including speaking style, word choice, and the way he interacts with his followers. Abstract

Mass media is a component that cannot be ignored in human efforts to find the latest news. Media alwayshas a goal when conveying information, including political, ideological or commercial goals. To achieve thisgoal, the media often manipulates the news in a way that can influence readers' opinions to fit the desirednarrative, using framing techniques as described by Robert N. and Entman. Framing theory is often used toinfluence readers' opinions. Robert N. and Entman emphasize framing theory, focusing on certain aspects ofthe news to form a specific view. This research uses qualitative methodology, specifically Robert N.Entman's analytical framework, to describe the phenomenon in the news about Jokowi being registered as avoter for the 2024 Election on Cnnindonesia.Com and Liputan6.Com. Research objects include focus, timeand place of research, providing an overview and being the target of data and information. Choosing the rightresearch object is important for determining the focus of the research, including factors that influence andbecome issues of the research subject itself.

Abstract

This research discusses the use of nonverbal communication by Bank Central Asia (BCA) frontliners in Batam.The research results show that frontliners tend to use various forms of nonverbal communication, such as eyecontact, smiling, open body language, polite hand gestures, and an upright and confident body posture. Afriendly, calm and professional tone of voice is also considered important. The physical distance betweenfrontliners and customers is adjusted to cultural norms and personal preferences. BCA frontliners receivespecial training in nonverbal communication to improve their skills in interacting with customers. They realizethat their nonverbal communication can influence a company's image and appreciate the importance of makinga positive impression. Positive communication can create a pleasant experience, increase trust, and give theimpression that customers are valued. Frontliners who are skilled at nonverbal communication can influencecustomers' purchasing decisions and build strong emotional connections. Therefore, investment in developingthe nonverbal communication skills of frontliners at Bank Central Asia in Batam is considered to providebenefits for the company's long-term success
