Abstract

Perubahan kebijakan pembangunan ekonomi mengenai penetapan kawasan batam dari kawasan FTZ (Free Trade Zone) berganti menjadi KEK (Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus) banyak menuai pro dan kontra.  Media massa dalam hal ini harian Tribun Batam yang memiliki oplah lebih dari 30.000 eksemplar memiliki peran penting dalam mentransformasikan  perubahan kebijakan tersebut.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) Mengetahui hubungan antara agenda media dengan kredibilitas media massa cetak pada Harian Tribun Batam dalam pemberitaan implementasi kebijakan KEK, 2) Mengetahui hubungan antara agenda public dengan kredibilitas media massa cetak pada Harian Tribun Batam dalam pemberitaan implementasi kebijakan KEK, 3) Mengetahui hubungan kredibilitas media massa Harian Tribun Batam dengan persepsi masyarakat dalam pemberitaan implementasi kebijakan KEK.  Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survei.  Lokasi dan objek penelitian dipilih secara purposive (sengaja) dimana Kota Batam merupakan kota yang diberikan keistimewaan status kawasan yakni  Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK).  Sampel berjumlah 399 orang yang ditentukan berdasarkan cluster random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan korelasi Rank Spearman.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang sangat nyata antara agenda media dengan kredibilitas media dimana nilai korelasi rank spearman  rs= 0.405**, hubungan sangat nyata antara agenda publik dengan kredibilitas media dan nilai korelasi ranks spearman  rs=0.405**, hubungan sangat nyata antara kredibilitas media dengan persepsi masyarakat pada nilai korelasi rank spearman  rs= 0.492** untuk pemberitaan implementasi KEK di Harian Tribun Batam.Kata Kunci : Agenda setting, kredibilitas media, persepsi dan Harian Tribun Batam

Abstract

Penetrasi penggunaan medsos TikTok oleh masyarakat mendorong media massa ikut mengimbangi pemanfaatan medsos guna menyasar netizen. Tidak sedikit media-media online nasional maupun lokal yang memiliki medsos TikTok sebagai sarana dan media komunikasi institusi kepada publik. Di Kota Batam sendiri masih belum banyak media online yang memanfaatkan platform TikTok sebagai akun medsos resmi institusi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan terhadap media online lokal di Kota Batam, terdapat dua media yang memanfaatkan platform medsos TikTok yaitu tribunbatam dan batamnews. Kedua media ini memiliki akun medsos TikTok dengan jumlah followers atau pengikut yang cukup banyak. Hingga 12 November 2021, akun tik tok tribunbatam memiliki 666,2 ribu pengikut serta sudah terverifikasi. Sedangkan batamnews memiliki pengikut sebanyak 71,8 ribu pengikut. Kedua media ini merupakan representasi media online lokal di batam yang telah memanfaatkan tik tok sebagai salah satu platform medsos resmi. Klasifikasi konten Tribun Batam dan Batam News adalah konten informasi terkini. Informasi yang banyak dijadikan konten adalah konten artis, berita gossip, berita-berita popular (viral), yang dikemas dalam bentuk gambar bergerak, video-video pendek sementara untuk sumber data kontennya variatif dari produksi sendiri serta sumber-sumber lain. Baik tribun batam maupun batam news sama-sama memanfaatkan media sosial tiktok sebagai alat pendukung website berita.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi media sangat penting untuk dimiliki oleh setiap masyarakat. Sebagaimana masyarakat umum, pelajar menjadi tumpuan sebagai generasi penerus yang harus dibekali berbagai kemampuan di era derasnya arus informasi yang begitu banyak dan cepat seperti sekarang ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur bagaimana tingkat literasi pelajar di Kota Batam. Tingkat literasi media para pelajar di Kota Batam jika dilihat dari indikator kecakapan media, pelajar di Batam memiliki tingkat pemahaman yang sangat bagus terhadap berita yang mereka baca. Dalam indikator menulis menunjukkan tingkat berfikir yang kritis oleh para siswa. Data ini juga menunjukkan bahwa berita membangun pemahaman pelajar menjadi pernyataan dengan skor terendah. Artinya meski mereka memahami apa yang diberitakan media massa, akan tetapi berita-berita yang dibaca oleh para pelajar belum mampu membangun pemahaman para pelajar.

Abstract

The Ansor Youth Movement (GP) is a youth, community, national, and religious organization with a popular character. The spirit of struggle, nationalism, liberation, and heroic ethos colors GP Ansor. GP Ansor has a vision, mission, and goals as a structured organization. GP Ansor has spread throughout all regions in Indonesia, including in Batam. The coaching at GP Ansor Sagulung District is carried out with the following stages of coaching: GP Ansor Youth follows all the material that will be delivered at this coaching activity, namely: Organization and Leadership, Public Speaking, and Presentation Techniques. The methods to solve problems offered by the devotees are lectures and hands-on practice and ensuring that all GP Ansor youth understand the material presented, are given time to discuss, and can make presentations and speak in front of crowds in real situations.

Abstract

Communication is one of the skills needed to speak, listen, overcome verbal communication barriers, understand other people's nonverbal communication, and develop ways to resolve conflicts. Public speaking and presentations are one types of communication skills. Public speaking and presentations are the process of conveying an oral message to an audience and are important activities in a culture where people have the right to speak freely. Speaking in public is not easy for him because many people are afraid of talking to new people, whether in class or public. Both presentation and public speaking abilities are necessary for students to succeed in the workplace when they are hired. To prepare students to speak and present in public as soon as possible, schools must provide public speaking and presentation training. This program was conducted at SMAK Immanuel Batam, a class X science and social science OSIS member. This exercise uses training as a means of carrying out community service. Mentoring or lectures, conversations, and practice are all part of the training that covers public speaking techniques and developing presenting concepts. These exercises help participants learn how to manage their nervousness and fear when giving public speeches and how to develop effective presenting ideas. The students enjoyed this activity which lasted for 5 days.

Abstract

Leadership is influencing other people to support the achievement of relevant organizational goals. Leadership is an art of ability or technique to make a group of people follow or comply with whatever is desired and make them enthusiastic about following it. Leadership is the art of influencing other people, such as the use of influence, action, or behavior, a form of persuasion, leadership as a means of achieving goals, the result of interaction, and so on. As a leader, you should also be able to speak in public and make presentations. Converting an oral message to an audience is essential in conveying ideas and messages to be widely understood. For this reason, SMAK Immanuel Batam students must be prepared as early as possible to speak well in public. This program was implemented at SMAK Immanuel Batam, where OSIS members were for class X Science and Social Sciences. This exercise uses training as a means of carrying out community service. Mentoring or lectures, conversations, and practice are part of the training, including public speaking techniques and developing presentation concepts. These exercises help participants learn how to manage nervousness and fear when giving a public speech and how to develop a practical presentation of ideas. The students enjoyed the activities, which lasted for 5 days.

Abstract

As a form of mass media, movie can also depicts reality as well as putting new values to the society. Parasite is a movie that promote moral values that applicable to the everyday life. In every scenes shown in this movie, it is believed the writers of the movie wanted to deliver meanings and also values to the audience. This research is about what moral values there are in the movie using roland barthes’s semiotik analysis theory to describe the values in symbols that shown in the movie. There are so many lessons and meanings that made the audience intrigued and learned about the values of life in every scenes of the movie. The result shows values about relationship with ourselves and with each other. Presumably, the values presented can be used as a lesson to be positive about daily life and deeper knowing about good values. Based on the description above, the writer is interested to do a research focused on the verbal messages shown in the parasite movie.

Abstract

This research focuses on how to describe position of women who are victims of rape in an online newspaper okezone.com. This research was chosen because of the many news agendas in the form of texts and pictures that tend to blame women in a rape. Through this research, there are four news items that contain elements of blaming rape victims in their news writing. Okezone.com was chosen as a news source because it is the first-ranked owner to be visited and accessed in 2019 according to the Alexa.com website. Which has a very high level of consumption compared to other online news portals.In researching the news, researchers used a critical discourse analysis of the Sara Mills model that concentrated on the position of women in reporting. In the results of the study, it was found from the four news items that were chosen that contained women as the party who contributed to the rape. This can be seen from the selection of syllables chosen by news writers.

Abstract

Critical Discourse Analysis is always interesting to study more deeply. The power of the media and public perception that makes critical discourse research continue to grow. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the analysis of the critical discourse of Van Djik's model in the Mata Najwa program episode "Living Off Electricity"? This study aims to describe the critical discourse analysis of the Van Djik model constructed by Najwa Sihab as the master of ceremonies in the Mata Najwa program. The data analysis technique uses documentation and observation techniques. The theory used is the critical discourse analysis of Van Djik's model. The results and discussion of this study indicate: (1). Shihab uses language in a structured way to guide shows based on topics, microstructure, Super Structures, and Micro Structure in order to provide information to the listener or viewers in understanding talk shows on all episodes: (2). social cognition found in all episodes, Shihab tries to maintain and present the program to keep it warm and the atmosphere alive and interesting to watch, as well as facilitate the needs of viewers in understanding the Mata Najwa talk show on Trans7: (3). the social context contained in all episodes of the Mata Najwa talk show, Indonesian Shihab serves to support the clarity of meaning about the material being discussed and try to dig up information through questions posed to the speakers

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the pattern of the use of the walking gallery as a learning communication medium for student learning interest. Regarding the background of this study, because the Indonesian evaluation system uses different methods in the learning process. So is the cooperative learning model. This type of research is quantitative research using descriptive methods. Descriptive research reconsidering facts, circumstances, variables and phenomena that occurred at that time and presents data that are considered to exist. On the basis of the results of tests conducted by researchers, it turns out the proposed hypothesis can be accepted. Hypothesis testing can show a significant positive effect between media gallery walk (X) on student learning interest (Y). Then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The size of the effect of the pavement model on the size of education (X) on learning interest (Y) can be seen from the coefficient of determination of 0.475. The analysis found that 47.5% of the use of the Walk Gallery learning media towards the learning interests of Man Batam students.
