Abstract

PT Kemet Electronics Indonesia is an international company that produces film capacitor products. An international company is certainly very concerned about the aspects of continuous improvement in its business. One of the jobs that requires repairs to the saction assembly. Where there is work to lift materials weighing up to 85 kg. This work can cause injury to workers if done manually. For this reason, it is necessary to have a problem-solving solution to the current material handling conditions. Axiomatic design is a design methodology that can produce complex design solutions in a systematic and scalable manner. House Of Quality is a tool that can be used to translate customer needs into product specifications so that products can properly satisfy customer needs. Axiomatic House Of Quality (AHOQ) is a combination of the two methods that can be used to produce good designs in a systematic and at the same time measuring design solutions based on customer needs. The research resulted in three functions, each of which is a function domain in each of the physical solution domains. The areas of this function are lifting the overflowing material with a hydraulic system, moving the backed material using the wheel system, and maintaining the quality of the material filled with the clamping arm system. The functional and physical domains are poured into a tool for transporting the coil wire material. With this tool, the work of lifting materials weighing 85 kg is no longer done by humans so that the work safety of employees can be improved.

Abstract

The role of humans as a source of labor still dominates every industrial activity. Unlike machines that can be repaired and replaced. Humans as workers, they still have limitations. In manual work activities, humans have a high work risk of MSDs cause unsupportive work facilities. The activity of filling black soil at UKM Rasti Ornamental Plants in process of filling and lifting sacks has potential to risk MSDs because of manually with simple work facilities and work posture not ergonomic. This research begins with calculation of nordic body map questionnaire the results show there are complaints on the neck, back, waist, nape, hips, left forearms, right and left, right wrists. Average result of the work risk score with REBA is 8 in the high category and needs immediate action. Solusiton to reduce this risk with trolley design trolley by applying the EFD method based on ergonomic aspects ENASE. The EFD results obtained the highest product design priority is trolley element to reduce pain in workers with weight (0.326) and trolley specification target designed according to the workers anthropometry was the main priority to be developed among other aspects. Anthropometric data used in the design are Standing Elbow Height (TSB), Shoulder Width (LB), and Hand Grips (GT).

Abstract

Improving product quality is mandatory in every company to maintain customer satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the types of defects that occur in the product and to suggest quality improvement actions. In this study, the 3 biggest types of defects (Black Crest, Chatter and Chip) were analyzed. This study uses tools from FMEA, Fishbone Diagram, Histogram and Pareto. The results of the research on the Black Crest defect on the risk of excessive ovalitty pipe dimensions from RPN 135 to RPN 27, on the risk of Squareness at the pipe ends from RPN 135 to RPN 81, on the risk of swaging results on imperfect pipes from RPN 243 to RPN 81. On defects Chatter for the risk of inserting a blunt roll from RPN 243 to RPN, at the risk of corrugated pipe from RPN 243 to RPN 81, at the risk of material being difficult to roll from RPN 405 to RPN 45. On chip defects for the risk of machining program from RPN 243 to RPN 81, the risk of glass on a machine that is less clear than RPN 243 becomes RPN 81, for the risk of the operator not to withdraw the Chip from RPN 243 to become RPN 45. Based on the research it is concluded that from the results of phase 1 FMEA analysis after quality improvement with Fishbone Diagram and re-analyzed with FMEA stage 2 succeeded in reducing the RPN value.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction is the main goal of many companies wants to achieve. One of the business fields that focus on customer satisfaction is hotel business. Apart from serving accommodation for customers, hotels also provide variety of products for sale. Inventory management is very important is hotel business because one of many ways to maintain customer satisfaction is by keeping stock so no items are empty when needed. In addition, a good inventory management will not let the company to experiences losses due to outdated inventory. Using data mining K-means clustering algorithm, we can group goods based on the salable goods and the less salable goods. This research aims to assist hotel Newton to improve their inventory management. Data that was used is sales that have been made which divided into 3 trimesters. Data also will be evaluated using RapidMiner application. The results obtained from the research are 3 clusters where the clusters consist of very salable goods, medium salable goods and not salable goods.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In the are of globalization, which requires workers to achive the productivity previously determined by the company. So that the company gets the trust of consumers. In the production process, productivity holds the three pillars that support the success of productivity,quantity (quantity), safety (safety), quality (quality). When productivity is achieved, workers often experience complaint due to uncomfortable working methods and their work is also done repaetly or repeattively. Repetitive work can cause muculuSceletas disorders, namely the occurrence of injuries to the muscles,nerves,tendons, and bones. Complaints of musculusceletal disoerders can be cause by several factors, namely the wrong way of working, work tools, that are not suitable for their use, work stations that are not suitable for their workers. The research of objective of the problem formulation is to find out how the form of packaging for furniture workers at PT. Royce Enterprise Co. Approach to the antropometric method is a field that supports ergonomics, especially in the design of equipment that has ergonomic principles. The term antropometry begins with two syllable, namely “antro” which means human, while “metri” which mean measure. So that the definition of antropometry is a field that explores the measurement of the dimensions of the human body.

Abstract

Weather is part of carrying out an activity and affects several fields, such as determining crops in agriculture and aviation on departure in an airplane. Android is an operating system that can be used and is open source code, android can develop and modify easily. The Meteorogy, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is tasked with monitoring the weather that predicts the weather using two methods, namely conventional methods and statistical methods which can cover a radius of 5-10 km on land and 50 km at sea for observations in a predicted area. The problem in this study is that the weather diagnosis requires a complex database, so a method for accurate weather diagnosis is needed and weather diagnosis information is very difficult to obtain. Forward chaining is a technique that starts the search for data and facts, and the data is used as a conclusion to become a solution. So the forward chaining method can help make diagnoses related to the weather. The purpose of diagnosing weather changes is to be able to help the special community in the Riau Islands to help plan activities. Researchers are designed to be able to assist the surrounding community in obtaining weather diagnosis information by providing complete information and accurate results but carried out efficiently. Abstract

PT SIIX Electronics Indonesia is a company engaged in manufacturing the assembly of electronic goods such as scanners, keyboards, cellphones, and so on. This company uses a payroll system called FPCollector in the payroll process. The problem that occurs at this company is the occurrence of errors in calculating employee salaries and calculating salaries that are not transparent because employees only know the total salary each month without knowing how much the deduction is due to tardiness and absence for a month. The research object is PT SIIX Electronics Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to evaluate assessments and make recommendations based on a maturity level analysis of the FPCollector information system at PT SIIX Electronics Indonesia according to the COΒIT 4.1 standard. The use of this standard is because it is a general control standard for controlling information systems and has parameters that are able to provide a risk assessment of a company using maturity models.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the discovery of various defects in the production process so that companies need to take quality control measures to maintain the quality of their products, so that their products can be accepted by consumers. PT Amtek Engineering Batam is a manufacturing company that produces stators. The purpose of this study was to analyze quality control, types of defects and the factors causing stator defects. The data collection technique is done by interview, observation, product defect data, and stator total production data. The data is processed using the sqc method, namely check sheets, Pareto diagrams, P control charts, and fishbone diagrams. The results of data analysis using the P map, Over lapping defects and Gap defects are outside the upper control limits. Based on the Pareto diagram it can be concluded that the type of Over lapping defect is the highest with the number of 4,242 pcs or 48.2%, the type of Gap defect is 3,306 pcs or 37.6% and Scratched defect is 1,256 pcs or 14, 2%. Based on the fishbone diagram, it is found that machine factors are the main cause of product defects.

Abstract

Work fatigue is one of the occupational health and safety problems that can be a risk factor for accidents at work. Fatigue can be caused by several factors, both internal and external factors. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of fatigue and the factors that affect worker fatigue. This study uses mental workload analysis methods with the NASA TLX assessment questionnaire, and work fatigue with the Subjective Self Rating Test questionnaire from the Industrial Fatigue Research Committee (IFRC). The population in this study were 18 people. Sampling in this study was carried out by saturated sampling. Primary data collection using a questionnaire and secondary. The data processing technique used data analysis techniques, namely the chi-square test and correlation. Based on the results of research conducted, it was found that the score of work fatigue was 47.17. The score is classified as a high level of fatigue. This means that immediate action is needed to fix it in order to reduce the level of work fatigue which will have an impact on work accidents
