Abstract

Retail business has been on the rise in recent years with the consumer diversity of needs has been growing higher as well. One Retail business owner in Batu Aji named Abang Putra shop run the business without the support of an information system particularly in stock management in their warehouse. In this research the author tried to design software to support the stock management in this retail business to tackle the issue of their warehouse management. Currently using a convention or traditional old system which is using formal incoming and outgoing paper for their warehouse documentation and using Microsoft excel data entry for their database. The researchers propose to implement design thinking method to design the system. Using 5 phase of the methods the research conducted orderly following proper technique to ensure the research results is well accepted. The tools to design the system is using unified modelling language and a saas software design Figma. The result of the system is the user persona of the system user, journey map, activity diagram, sequence diagram and detailed system design of the stock management system.

Abstract

Motorbikes are currently a very popular means of transportation as vehicles for various daily activities. So far, consumers only buy through recommendations from local people when buying motorbikes. This causes many consumers to lack knowledge about the motorbike specifications that are most suitable for each consumer's needs. So we need an approach that can help consumers determine the motorbike that best suits their needs based on assessing aspects of consumers who have been using it for a long time. In this research, the calculation method used is profile matching. For this research, an assessment analysis was carried out on 6 types of Honda motorbikes based on aspects of design, comfort, performance, features, fuel efficiency, price balance and the need for user experience, aesthetic appearance and price match with complete features. For the results of the analysis using the profile matching method, the score with the highest ranking was the Honda Scoopy which received the highest score in all aspects and for various needs such as user experience, aesthetic appearance, and price match with complete features. The Honda PCX and Vario are ranked second and third and could also be the second choice because they have an insignificant difference in value with the Honda Scoopy. Furthermore, Honda PCX, Genio and Beat can also be choices if adjusted to individual needs.

Abstract

Housewives are responsible for managing kitchen needs, regularly shopping for vegetables to meet daily food ingredient requirements. Vegetable shops run by the community serve as one of the alternatives for housewives to buy vegetables. However, they often face difficulties in obtaining information about the availability of vegetable products in stores or shops, as well as price information. This study aims to design and develop an e-vegetables application. The application helps buyers access store information and place orders online, while also enabling sellers to reach a wider consumer base. The method used in this study is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which involves stages such as requirement planning, system design, development, and implementation. The application is designed using UML (Unified Modeling Language) for diagram modeling and Figma for user interface design. It is built in Android operating system using Flutter for the frontend, Node.js for the backend, and MongoDB as the database. The results of this study show that the e-vegetables application facilitates buyers in obtaining vegetable information and placing orders efficiently.

Abstract

In this digital era, the tourism industry is one of the sectors that highly requires technology, such as the use of applications or websites, to remain competitive and reach a broader range of customer seeking tour and travel services. Tourism continues to grow rapidly alongside the increasing public interest in business, educational, or recreational travel. However, several challenges often arise in managing travel package sales, such as difficulties in booking processes due to limited accessibility, inefficient data management and a lack of flexibility in meeting customer needs. A structured system is designed using the Model View Controller (MVC) method to address these issues and meet the needs of both customers and companies effectively.

Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) Mulya Mandiri is a SMEs that produces frozen meatballs in Batam.In facing the challenges of maintaining the quality of their products with The limitations of resources, technology, capital, and human resources often become obstacles in implementing an effective quality control system. In the study, it was found that the reject or defect rate of frozen meatball products was quite high. The most common product defects found are the wrinkled texture of the meatballs, followed by the shape of the meatballs not being perfectly round, being flat, and the meatballs clumping together. From the obtained data, it will be processed using the Statistical Quality Control method, which has tools such as check sheets, histograms, Pareto diagrams, control charts, and fishbone diagrams. Then it can be analyzed using the Fault Tree Analysis method, which is useful for identifying the root causes of defects in the product, as well as the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, which is useful for determining potential failure modes, assessing the occurrence and severity of failures, calculating the Risk Priority Number (RPN), and proposing corrective actions to reduce the RPN value.

Abstract

Technological advancements have significantly transformed the way people seek information, including in choosing electronic products such as laptops. However, consumers often face difficulties in making decisions due to the wide variety of laptops available, each with different specifications and price ranges. This study aims to design and implement a chatbot based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) that can automatically provide laptop recommendations according to users' needs. The chatbot is designed to understand users' queries in natural language and deliver relevant responses, such as laptop recommendations based on price ranges or specific needs like gaming, graphic design, or daily work. The development process utilizes NLP methods with machine learning algorithms to train the model to understand the context and intent of user inputs. The testing results show that the chatbot can provide recommendations that align with user requirements with a high level of accuracy. Moreover, the chatbot simplifies the process of obtaining information efficiently, thereby enhancing user experience in selecting electronic products. Future development may include expanding the laptop dataset, adding comparison features, and integrating with e-commerce platforms to deliver a more comprehensive solution.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology, particularly in the Internet of Things (IoT), creates significant opportunities for smart solutions like IoT-based gas leak detection systems. Given the widespread use of LPG cylinders in households, small businesses, and large industries, this research aims to design a gas leak detection tool utilizing detection sensors on LPG cylinders. This tool is intended to reduce the risk of danger or fire incidents, especially in industries and restaurants. The study focuses on designing and implementing an IoT-based gas leak detection system using key components like the MQ-2 sensor, which detects hazardous gas, and a buzzer that serves as an initial alarm. Notifications are also sent via the Telegram application for immediate alerts. Testing results demonstrate that the system effectively detects gas leaks and provides timely warnings through both sound alarms and Telegram notifications. The gas detection accuracy is notably high, making it a reliable solution for minimizing fire or explosion risks caused by gas leaks. All components—MQ-2 sensor, buzzer, NodeMCU connectivity module, and Telegram application—work cohesively, fulfilling the system’s design goals and ensuring smooth operation. This research underscores the importance of IoT technology in enhancing safety and mitigating hazards in daily environments.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought to various sectors, including the logistics and expedition industry. One of the main challenges in this industry is the manual handover process, which often poses risks. Process that is still done manually, which often leads to the risk of administrative errors, lost goods, and late deliveries.administrative errors, loss of goods, and delays in delivery. Lion Parcel, as one of the leading expedition companies in Indonesia, faces similar issues that impact the company's operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This research aims to design an Android-based goods handover application that supports Lion Parcel's operational processes.operational process of Lion Parcel courier. This application is designed to record, track, and verify the digital handover of goods.verify the handover of goods digitally. Abstract

The development of computer technology encourages companies to adopt digital systems, including payroll systems. However, the Sendanu Darul Ihsan Village Office, Riau, still uses a manual Excel-based method, which often triggers errors such as incorrect NIK input and inaccurate salary calculations. This research project aims to create a web-based payroll system using a hybrid method, namely a combination of the Waterfall method and the CodeIgniter 3 platform. This application is designed with a Model-View-Controller (MVC) approach to facilitate data handling, using Sbadmin2 bootstrap which provides a responsive, modern, and easy-to-use front end. The waterfall technique ensures that development is carried out in a structured manner through the steps of analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation. It is hoped that this method will reduce errors, speed up the payroll process, and increase the efficiency of the village office.

Abstract

Construction workers are essential to project execution but face high risks of workplace accidents, often caused by human factors. Advances in artificial intelligence, particularly image processing, provide opportunities to improve the detection of personal protective equipment (PPE), which is currently checked manually and inefficiently. PPE, such asgloves, helmets, and safety shoes, is vital for worker safety but is often neglected due to discomfort. This study uses Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithms to classify images and verify PPE usage at construction sites. CNN processes spatial information through layers for feature extraction, dimension reduction, and classification. A previousstudy with Faster R-CNN achieved accuracies of 72.83% with TensorFlow and 88.07% with Faster R-CNN. Using a dataset of 200 images, this research, conducted at PT JAYATAMA SAFETINDO, applies Python and TensorFlow to improve PPE detection accuracy. The results aim to support safer workplaces, enhance productivity, and advance AI applications in safety and identification.
