Abstract

The increasing number of motorized vehicles has a very positive impact on a country's economic system. Unfortunately, not only the positive impacts produced but also some negative impacts. So far, fuel consumption in motor vehicles is measured using the vehicle mileage parameters via a speedometer. However, for the case of a stationary vehicle such as an engine trainer (learning media), of course additional equipment such as a fuel meter is needed. This research aims to design a Toyota Avanza 1.3 Type K3-VE engine fuel flow meter that can be used as a learning medium to support engine performance courses. This research is experimental research, where fuel consumption testing is based on SNI 7554: 2010. Equipment and some research instruments used, such as (1) digital tachometer; (2) stopwatch; (3) electronic temperature controller; and (4) blowers. Data analysis techniques using quantitative descriptive methods. The results of this study indicate that the higher the engine speed, the time needed to consume fuel is relatively shorter. Also, the need to meet the supply of fuel in the combustion chamber is also increasing. Besides, in conducting fuel consumption tests, it is recommended not to use a 10 ml volumetric pipette. The reason, this pipette has a relatively small volume for a 1,300 cc engine, so when testing fuel, it runs out faster before full rotation.. Abstract

One of the supporting factors for comfort in activities in the room is the installation of air conditioning as air conditioning. Air Conditioning (AC) is an equipment used to condition the air so that it can reach the appropriate temperature and humidity according to comfortable air conditions. So as to provide work comfort for people who carry out certain activities in the room.The principle of air cooling in air conditioning involves the refrigeration cycle, which is the air is cooled by the refrigerant (freon), then the freon is pressed using a compressor until a certain pressure and the temperature rises, then it is cooled by environmental air so that it melts. The process mentioned above runs repeatedly so that it becomes a cycle called the cooling cycle in the air which functions to take heat from the air and release this heat outside the room.The expected results of the design of the trainer air conditioner design can meet the aspects of effectiveness to be achieved, namely aspects of regulations / provisions, aspects of functions / tasks, aspects of plans / programs, aspects of goals / ideal conditions.Based on the table of general construction steel according to DIN 17100 (Sept. 1966) in terms of the tensile stress of the frame material (fmax) St 37 - 2 = 37.18 Kg / mm2 or 364.36 N / mm2, with the safety factor (Sf) = 2, and the allowable tensile stress (fci) = fmax: Sf = 182.18 N / mm2, because the bending stress is 14.08 N / mm2, the calculation result is smaller than the allowable tensile stress of the material which is 182.18 N / mm2, the strength of the frame used is SAFE. Abstract

One of the supporting factors for comfort in the room, namely air conditioning. The principle of air cooling involves a refrigeration cycle, where air is cooled by the refrigerant, then the refrigerant is pressed using a compressor to a certain pressure and the temperature rises, then it is cooled by environmental air so that it melts. The coefficient of performance (COP) is the ratio between the heat absorbed from the cooling room (refrigeration effect) and the work done by the compressor. At the cooling load, the highest pressure and temperature are obtained in the refrigeration system at a load of 350W. The test results obtained based on the temperature and cooling load that have been determined, namely the COP obtained at a load of 350W is , a load of 300W , a load of 250W . For (m) is the rate of refrigerant that has not been obtained. The highest refrigeration effect is at a load of 350W with a value of 177 kJ/kg. 0.384KW. Abstract

The use of batteries when repairing a car or motorcycle is at risk of being damaged because the stater motor is used repeatedly to get fuel and air input in the combustion chamber, therefore we need a tool that serves to replace the battery during the service process and can reduce waste. This study aims to provide convenience in the trainer trial process and accelerate the learning process of car and motorcycle trainer practice using Adjustable Power Supply. The methodology of making an Adjustable Power Supply tool uses the design method. The use of Adjustable Power Supply tool on car and motorcycle trainers obtained the values of Volt, Ampere, Watt as follows 10,3 Volts, 105 Ampere, and 680 Watts for 5k Kijang trainers, and 9,5 Volt, 8,8 Ampere and 87 Watts for Supra X 125 motorcycle trainers, on average, are stable. The use of a Adjustable Power Supply replacement tool is stable and can be used efficiently. The adjustable power supply is more efficient compared to using the battery at the Gasoline Motor Laboratory because it does not need to recharge the battery so the practicum is more optimal. This tool can solve the problem of wasteful use of batteries in the gasoline motor laboratory Keywords: adjustable power supply ;batteries ;design method.

Abstract

There have been many painting media on the market, but there are still many who use manual painting systems. For that, a tool system for painting water transfer printing film using semi-automatic technology Arduino Uno R3. This tool can provide ease in painting techniques, which was previously done manually. In this design, use a servo motor to read the program inserted into the Arduino Uno R3, equipped with LCD as a screen display and to enter the program code used KEYPAD 4x4. This research is the development research aimed at the best results on the film and Activator pattern in order to obtain an effective comparison when painting. After the process is done development and testing known tools work well. As for the best results visually, namely, the pattern film size is 15.5 cm2, for Activator as much as 4 ml and one time the painting process takes 1 minute 14 seconds. Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to create a Trainer Cutting Wet Coupling Transmission with a motorcycle machine which the capacity is 125cc and equipped with a roll support. This design uses engineering methods that include design ideas, study of literature, create designs, inventory components, manufacture tools, test tools, and conclusions.. Based on the table of general construction steel according to DIN 17100 (Sept. 1966) in terms of the tensile stress of the frame material (fmax) St 37 - 2 = 37.18 Kg / mm2 or 364.36 N mm2, with the safety factor (Sf) = 4, and the allowable tensile stress (fci) = fmax: Sf = 91,09N/mm2, because the bending stress is 48,60 N / mm2, the calculation result is smaller than the allowable tensile stress of the material which is 91,09N / mm2, the strength of the frame used is SAFE. Abstract

The function of the injector tester is used to measure spray pressure and inspect spray injector, and the fuction of redesign of the diesel motor injector test tool is also to make it easier for student of Mechanical Engineering Unesa to test without refilling the fuel that has been used and increase the safety of testing injector. In achieving the objectives, writer uses the Kaizen method. This method applies knowledge to find problems and potential improvements to the device to be designed to obtain information on the effectiveness of the redesign of the injector tester. The result of performance test diesel injector tester using Kaizen method show effective because the tool can test the pressure, leakage, and spray on the nozzle. Easy operation and maintenance, can be used as learning medium and can be developed. Keywords: Tester tool, Injection, Kaizen Method.

Abstract

Abstrak Shockbreaker adalah alat yang terbuat dari logam baja yang berfungsi sebagai peredam goncangan agar bodi kendaraan tidak mengalami guncangan berlebihan saat melewati jalan bergelombang. Shockbreaker pada kendaraan dibuat untuk memberikan kenyamanan bagi pengendara. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka mendorong penulis membuat alat pelepas shockbreaker yang di lengkapi dengan tenaga hidrolik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mempermudah cara melepaskan shockbreaker mobil, sebagai media pembelajaran tentang suspensi. Untuk mencapai tujuan dalam penelitian, diperlukan proses pengujian pada alat yang dirancang maka penulis menggunakan metode uji untuk kerja untuk menganalisa efektifitas kinerja alat pelepas pegas shockbreaker dengan tenaga hidrolik, yaitu pengujian rancangan menggunakan shockbreaker Bmw E46 diameter 317 mm x 96 mm x 96 mm. Pengujian tekanan pegas, ketinggian pegas dan perbandingan alat tipe ulir. Hasil uji unjuk kerja rancang bangun alat pelepas pegas tenaga hidrolik menggunakan metode R&D (Research and Development) terbukti efektif dan mudah digunakan untuk maintenance shockbreaker. Pengoperasian dan perawatan mudah, dapat digunakan untuk media pembelajaran dan bisa dikembangkan lebih optimal. Kata Kunci: shockbreaker ,hidrolik ,mesin pelepas,rancang bangun
