Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum at Early Childhood Education level can be a guide for educators in undergoing the learning process. The Merdeka Curriculum is expected to provide convenience and flexibility, and focus on essential material in the foundation phase to develop learner competencies. Some educational institutions in Bogor District are still using the Curriculum of 2013 because these institutions do not know the development of the Merdeka Curriculum thoroughly and still face difficulties in accepting the new curriculum. This study aims to determine the effect of the Merdeka Curriculum Implementation Workshop on Early Childhood Education units in several sub-districts within Bogor District, West Java. The method used for this research is the survey method. The research sample amounted to 30 participants from Early Childhood Education schools in Bogor District. The research went through a pretest stage, then a workshop process and a post-test stage as a reflection; so as to obtain the level of understanding and use of the Merdeka Curriculum as a new curriculum in schools. The results of this study show that the application of the Merdeka Curriculum as a national curriculum in early childhood education units in Bogor District is increasing as expected with an achievement of 86,7 %. The level of understanding and use of the Merdeka Curriculum assessment for workshop participants also showed good and optimal results as expected.

Abstract

Education is a basic need for everyone, including people with disabilities, who have the right to education. Children with visual impairments are usually called "blind children" in the field of special education. Based on data from the 2012 National Socio-Economic Survey, the number of Indonesian people with disabilities was 2.45%, according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the number of children with special needs (ABK) in Indonesia reached 1.6 million children in 2017. According to Ministry of Education and Culture, West Java has a total of 688 blind students in 2021. The method used in this research is a literature review. Literature review is the first and important step in preparing a research plan. Literature review is a search and research of the literature by reading various books, journals and other publications related to the research topic, to produce an article regarding a particular topic or issue. In the initial stage of collecting articles based on the variables contained in the title, out of 10 articles, 4 articles were obtained that matched the title topic. At the article reduction stage, there were 4 articles that were not included because there were variables that did not match the title topic.

Abstract

The implementation of the independent curriculum through differentiated learning is a recommended strategy to be applied in learning in primary schools, because learning with this strategy refers to the needs and abilities of diverse learners. However, in its application, teachers must be able and precise in determining the appropriate teaching tools. Moreover, learning with the content of science literacy is an important thing to convey to students in the 21st century. So, this study aims to provide a literature review on the development of teaching media with science literacy content as a form of implementing differentiated learning in elementary schools. The literature review method was used to collect primary data from written sources such as journals, reports and other documents. The results of the study explain that the application of differentiated learning can be done after determining the suitability that refers to the needs and abilities of students. Based on this, the development of science literacy teaching media is a form of differentiated learning. The development of teaching media is needed because differentiated learning requires appropriate teaching media. So, it is important for teachers to continue to develop competence and be able to mature in implementing differentiated learning. It is hoped that the results of this literature review can provide a better understanding of the application of differentiated learning and improve students' science literacy competencies, especially for primary school teachers in the context of implementing an independent curriculum and fostering the character of students who can be competitive in the global world.

Abstract

Introspective analysis is a crucial element in modern research practices, as it enhances the rigour, relevance, and ethical integrity of research practices across various disciplines. By examining the interplay between self-reflection and methodological approaches, introspective analysis fosters deeper understanding and critical thinking, encouraging researchers to confront biases, assumptions, and ethical dilemmas inherent in their work. Incorporating introspective practices into research design, data interpretation, and dissemination of findings can lead to a culture of accountability and transparency in research, promoting collaboration, and ultimately improving the quality and impact of scholarly outputs. This discourse underscores the necessity of integrating introspective analysis into the research process, positioning it as a vital component for advancing knowledge and addressing the challenges faced by the global research community. By engaging in introspective analysis, researchers can unearth underlying motivations that may affect their interpretation of data, selection of methodologies, and interactions with research participants. This reflective practice can lead to the refinement of research questions, ensuring they are not only relevant but also ethically sound. By engaging in self-reflection, researchers can confront their ethical responsibilities toward participants, stakeholders, and the broader community, fostering a culture of accountability and ensuring that researchers remain aware of their impact and obligations. In conclusion, the critical role of introspective analysis cannot be overstated as the research landscape continues to evolve. By embracing self-reflection as an essential component of research, researchers can contribute to more innovative and comprehensive solutions to complex problems.
