Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merubah layout dan jalur towing pada area warehouse di PT. Sejahtera Selamanya. masalah yang dihadapi adalah seringnya terlambat suplay material yang mengakibatkan stop proses produksi. Dan juga mengakibatkan produksi tidak mencapai target yang ditentukan Perusahaan.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah DMAIC. DMAIC adalah metodologi yang digunakan untuk perbaikan proses yang diadopsi dari Six Sigma, sebuah kerangka kerja yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan efisiensi dengan mengidentifikasi dan menghilangkan penyebab cacat atau masalah dalam proses bisnis. DMAIC adalah akronim dari lima fase utama dalam proses perbaikan: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, dan Control.  Jurnal ini membahas relayout jalur towing dan warehouse dalam konteks manajemen logistik dan rantai pasokan. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan merancang ulang tata letak jalur towing dan warehouse guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mengurangi waktu pemindahan barang, dan meningkatkan kepuasan karyawan. Metodologi yang digunakan meliputi pengumpulan data, analisis alur kerja, desain ulang, dan evaluasi pascaimplementasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa relayout yang diusulkan dapat mengurangi waktu pemindahan hingga 25% dan meningkatkan penggunaan ruang hingga 30%.

Abstract

The National Sports Week (PON) venue is used as a place for sports and to hold various matches. However, post-implementation of PON in Papua Province, there were many concerns that the venues built were not being used and utilised optimally according to their intended use. Apart from that, the high cost of maintaining venues for PON located in Papua Province was an obstacle for the government. The research applied a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach which was the answer to the research questions. The results of the research found data related to the use and physical condition of the PON venue which had been recapitulated by data from a note on the assessment index by each PON venue. Furthermore, Interview transcripts were also used as supporting data for research which discusses future strategies by the Sports and Youth Department in managing each PON venue so that they would be utilized continuously. Moreover, the researcher received input in the form of funds that focus on venue maintenance costs so that in the future it would be utilized consistently by many people and athletes who compete to carry the name of Papua Province in the sports sector. Next, it could also be developed into sports-based tourism to introduce sports equipment to the public and facilitate equipment in sports competition activities. Abstract

Penurunan kinerja mesin CNC lathe di sebuah perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi komponen kendaraan roda dua menjadi masalah signifikan dalam mencapai target produksi yang optimal. Berdasarkan laporan produksi, mesin CNC lathe sering mengalami penurunan pencapaian produksi dibandingkan dengan divisi lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur nilai Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) mesin CNC lathe, mengidentifikasi losses yang terjadi, serta menganalisis penyebab dan prioritas tindakan perbaikan yang perlu dilakukan. Metode OEE digunakan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas mesin berdasarkan tiga parameter utama, yaitu availability, performance, dan quality. Selain itu, identifikasi losses dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan penurunan OEE, seperti downtime, kecepatan produksi yang rendah, dan produk cacat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa OEE mesin bubut CNC sebelum penerapan teknik pemanasan adalah 61,2% (Ketersediaan: 80%, Kinerja: 85%, Kualitas: 90%). Setelah penerapan, OEE meningkat menjadi 77,9% (Ketersediaan: 90%, Kinerja: 92%, Kualitas: 95%), yang menandakan peningkatan efektivitas dan juga menunjukkan bahwa masalah utama yang menyebabkan penurunan OEE adalah spindle over current, yang berkontribusi terhadap availability loss. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, langkah-langkah perbaikan seperti pemeliharaan preventif mesin, pelatihan operator, dan peningkatan kontrol kualitas disarankan untuk meningkatkan kinerja mesin CNC lathe. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi yang berguna untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi mesin dalam proses produksi.

Abstract

Di bidang rekayasa, perangkat lunak sangat diperlukan untuk melakukan desain dan simulasi. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi adalah mahalnya biaya lisensi untuk perangkat lunak yang memiliki versi fitur penuh. Sementara perangkat lunak yang sudah terbiasa dipergunakan pada saat proses pendidikan akan berpengaruh pada pilihan saat sudah bekerja. Untuk itu dalam penelitian ini dikaji sejumlah pilihan perangkat lunak yang dapat dipergunakan untuk memecahkan masalah proses desain dan simulasi untuk rangkaian Triac. Hasilnya diperoleh alur kerja yang mampu menyelesaikan masalah tersebut secara efektif dan berbiaya rendah. Alur ini dapat dipergunakan mulai tahap pendidikan tinggi sehingga dapat langsung dipergunakan juga pada saat sudah bekerja secara profesional.

Abstract

The increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions has driven the adoption of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in various industries, including aquaculture. This study designs and simulates a solar power system for small-scale catfish (Lele) pond operations using the System Advisor Model (SAM). The methodology includes assessing energy requirements, selecting system components, conducting simulations, and performing an economic feasibility analysis. The results indicate that the designed 12-panel, 3-battery solar system effectively meets the pond’s daily energy demand while ensuring continuous operation during low sunlight conditions. The SAM simulation confirms stable electricity generation throughout the year, with seasonal variations minimally affecting efficiency. The economic analysis reveals that PLTS costs Rp. 150,365 per month, compared to Rp. 151,620 for PLN electricity, showing small but valuable long-term savings. Despite the high initial investment, solar power offers price stability, energy independence, and reduced reliance on fossil fuels. This study demonstrates that solar energy is a viable, cost-effective, and sustainable alternative for aquaculture operations. Future research should focus on optimizing system efficiency and integrating hybrid energy solutions to further enhance performance and financial benefits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of several data mining algorithms in order to improve the effectiveness of information management in the e-commerce industry. Along with the rapid growth of e-commerce, information management is a crucial aspect to support informed and fast decision-making. This study uses a qualitative approach with the literature study method (library research), which is to review various relevant scientific publications to identify the advantages, disadvantages, and application of data mining algorithms such as Decision Tree, K-Means, Naive Bayes, and Random Forest in the context of information management. From the results of the literature review, it was found that each algorithm has its own characteristics in terms of accuracy, efficiency, and compatibility with certain types of data that are common in e-commerce such as transaction data, consumer behavior, and product preferences. This research is expected to provide more comprehensive insights for practitioners and academics in choosing the right algorithm to optimize information management. In addition, this study also contributes to the development of technology-based data management strategies that are adaptive to the dynamics of the digital industry

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has driven the need for a database system that is able to manage data efficiently, especially in e-commerce information applications that have large and dynamic data volumes. This study aims to analyze and compare the performance of relational database systems (RDBMS) with NoSQL databases in the context of e-commerce applications. The research is carried out with a qualitative approach through the literature study method or library research that examines various academic sources, including journals, books, and previous research reports. The analysis was carried out on several key performance aspects, such as scalability, speed of data access, flexibility of data structure, and ability to handle big data. The results show that relational databases still excel in the consistency of complex data and transactions, but have limitations in terms of horizontal scalability. On the other hand, NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB and Cassandra, show better performance in handling unstructured, large-scale data, and fast access needs, although at the expense of some aspects of consistency. These findings indicate that the selection of database types needs to be adjusted to the needs of the system and the characteristics of the data managed. This study makes a theoretical contribution to understanding the comparative performance of the two systems and becomes a reference for e-commerce system developers in determining the optimal database architecture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of integrated information systems on operational efficiency in manufacturing companies in Indonesia. In the digital era, information systems are a vital component in supporting business processes, including in the manufacturing sector which has high complexity. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods and library research. Data was obtained through the study of various scientific journals, academic books, and research reports relevant to the topic of information systems and operational efficiency. The results show that the implementation of an integrated information system is able to improve the efficiency of the production process, reduce operational time and costs, and accelerate data-driven decision-making. The system enables cross-departmental collaboration, real-time data alignment, and information transparency in the supply chain. However, the implementation of information systems also faces challenges such as user resistance, limited technological infrastructure, and the need for human resource training. This research contributes to enriching the literature on information technology in the industrial world, as well as providing strategic recommendations for manufacturing company managers in optimizing the implementation of information systems. It is hoped that the results of this study can be the basis for the development of policies and strategies to improve operational efficiency through the use of information technology more optimally.

Abstract

Cast iron smelting is carried out with the main materials, namely steel scrap (C) 0.08% and recycled material FC 25 (C) 3.37% so that the mixture of the two raw materials results in the carbon content being less than the FC 25 target which has a content range (C) between 3.10% – 3.40% (JIS G 5501). In order for element (C) to meet the material standardization criteria, a carburizer is used as an addition to element (C) in the smelting process. This research uses an induction furnace with a capacity of 1500 kg for the melting process. Metallographic testing aims to see the comparison of the microstructure that occurs. Brinell hardness testing is carried out by providing 5 point indent traces on the surface. (α) and 2 points in the phase (α+Fe3C). The research results show that the addition of element (C) using a carburizer with a fixed carbon content of 91.57% and 96.7% in casting FC 25 material affects the value of material hardness, phase hardness and microstructure in FC 25 material. The use of carburizers with different contents This does not affect the graphite shape, graphite type and graphite size. The use of a 96.7% carburizer produces a Brinell hardness value of 205 HB, Vickers 259 HV and a pearlite phase percentage of 59% which is higher than a 91.67% carburizer which produces a Brinell hardness value of 184 HB, Vickers 238 HV and a pearlite phase percentage of 56%.

Abstract

Pressure vessel is a container used to store fluids and is very necessary for various industrial activities. Fluids stored in pressure vessels are fluids that have special characteristics and treatment, such as fluids at low or high temperatures, pressurized fluids and so on. In general, a pressure vessel is a container made of metal. Materials that contain metal will definitely experience corrosion. Corrosion can occur, one of the reasons is because there is a chemical reaction on the metal surface caused by the low pH of the water and humid air, so that the metal becomes thinner over time. This will affect the strength of the metal to withstand pressure. The thinner the metal, the less pressure it can withstand. With corrosion, the pressure vessel's ability to withstand pressure will decrease. If the pressure held is higher than the capacity of the pressure vessel, it can cause work accidents. This research will analyze the service life of pressure vessels using inspection procedures based on Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 37 of 2016 concerning Occupational Safety and Health of Pressure Vessels and Storage Tanks. To calculate the effect of thickness on the pressure of the pressure vessel, it will be based on the formula obtained from ASME sec VIII, div.1 regarding boilers and pressure vessels. The pressure vessel that will be tested is of the Jiangsu Ashun brand at PT. Setia Gas Jaya. From the results of analysis and testing, it shows that the pressure vessels at PT. Setia Gas Jaya has the point that experiences the most corrosion, namely at the bottom-head, which was originally 6.8 mm to 6.62 mm after 2 years and 3 months of operation. The results of the analysis also show that with a working pressure of 3.3 MPa, the pressure vessel can be operational for 13 years 3 months 13 days, or its remaining useful life is 11 years 13 days starting from June 2023.
