Abstract

ABSTRACT Multicollinearity is the correlation between some independent variables which makes coefficient regression yielded by multiple regression analysis cannot be used in estimating. The problem of multicollinearity which is indicated by the value of Variance Inflation Factor (VIF) > 10 occurs when the influence of age, obesity (IMT), and cholesterol were modeled toward systole and diastole blood pressure. The objective of the research was to obtain the regression model of age, obesity (IMT), and cholesterol with systole blood pressure and with diastole blood pressure of patients suffered from hypertension at the Inpatient Wards of the RSUD (Regional General Hospital) Sidikalang, in 2014. The samples consisted of 105 patients. The data were secondary data and using α=0,1. Analyzed by using ridge regression in order to obtain correct regression model. The result of ANOVA test showed that p < 0.000 which indicated that, simultaneously, there was the influence of age, obesity (IMT), and cholesterol on systole and diastole blood pressure. The equation for modeling blood pressure was obtained at k = 0.07; they were Y systole = 21.2828 + 0.7169 Age + 1.7986 IMT + 0.2222 Cholesterol, and Y diastole = 24.5290 + 0.5025 Age + 0.6648 IMT + 0.0946 Cholesterol. It is recommended that the next researchers solve the problems of multicollinearity during the modeling; one of them is by using ridge regression analysis.

Abstract

Early breastfeeding initiation (early initation) is a series of activities where newborns instinctively perform activities that ends with finding the nipple of their mother soon breastfeeding from their mother’s nipple. The study aims to reveal the behavior of health workers towards the implementation of the provision of early initiation of breastfeeding in mothers who give birth normally in RSIA. Badrul Aini Kel. Tegal Sari III Kec. Medan Area Kota Medan on 2014.   This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The results were analyzed by descriptive quantitative depicted in percentage. The number of samples that interviewed were 34 people (total sample). The results showed all respondents are female which is 100%. Most of the respondents were aged 21-31 years that is 58.8%. Most of the education level of the respondents is D3 Midwifery that is 73.5%. And most of the respondents have worked for 1-5 years that is 50%. The knowledge of the health workers in good category is 70.6%. The attitude of the health workers in good category is 82.4% and the actions of the health workers in low category as many as 58.8%.   Hope for the health worker improve the performance of the implementation of the provision of early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) for the mother who give birth normally and provide the information for the mother and family about the benefits from early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD).   Keywords: early breastfeeding initiation, behavior, health workers

Abstract

Vegetable is a food that has a very big roles for the body as a source of vitamins, minerals and food fiber, even though the body only needs in small quantities but it has an important function as aregulator and a protective agent. The purpose of research is to reveal how the mother's behavior supply vegetables for family consumption in Pasir Bidang vilage of Sarudik at Central Tapanuli district. This type of research is descriptive with cross sectional method. Total population of the study is 872 households and the sample are 63 mothers. These results indicate that the  knowledge level of the respondents about the vegetables are in middle category that is about 31 people (49,2%), the attitude of respondents in the middle category as many as 57 people (90,5%), the action of respondents in the middle category too and there are about 60 people (95,2%). For tabulation of attitudes based on knowledge obtained that for knowledgeable respondents were on average also have a stance in  were as many as 29 people (93,5%), to tabulate action based on the knowledge gained that on average respondents were knowledgeable own actions in the category were also as many as 30 people (96.8%), while for the action based attitudes showed that on average the respondents whose attitude is at middle category  was also has an action in the medium category too and there are as many as 55 people (96,5%). Abstract

Pulmonary Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacteria directly with pulmonary tuberculosis (mycobacterium tuberculosis lung). Most of pulmonary TB germs attack lungs, but can also regarding another parts of body. East Kisaran district is one of the District in shavings with cases of TB patients are quite high. Where every year the number of TB cases is still on the charts high enough. In 2010 a total of 36 cases increased to 40 cases in 2011, then increased to 41 cases in the following year in 2012 and the last in 2013 to 40 cases. This research is a descriptive survey aimed to determine the role of Officer of Health for treatment compliance in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Gambir Baru subdistrict East Kisaran District of the Year 2014. The entire range of pulmonary tuberculosis patients who passing the treatment period of at least 6 months in Gambir Baru subdistrict East Kisaran district in 2014 as many as 43 people. Sampling was done by (total sampling) TB patients who undergo treatment as many as 43 people. The results showed that the Trustees took the drug for treatment compliance respondent is good for 22 persons (51.2%), Health Extension of the respondent is a good treatment compliance is 29 persons (44.2%), Interpersonal Communication on TB treatment compliance is good that 20 people (46.5 %), Motivation Officer of Health for TB treatment compliance is sufficient that 20 people (46.5%), TB treatment compliance respondents were adherent of 28 people (65.1%) Based on the research results suggested increase counseling and manufacture of pamphlets, and billboards to increase public knowledge about the prevention of pulmonary TB, the community to participate in pulmonary tuberculosis disease prevention programs   Keywords: pulmonary tuberculosis patients, TB
