Classroom Management and Its Relations to the Learning Achievement of the Third Graders of Elementary School. This classroom action research was aimed to find out information whether the learning achievement on social studies was different before and after treatment. The study was carried out in SDN 3 Mattoangin Makassar, South Sulawesi, and involved pupils and teacher of the 3rd grade. The result of the statistical analysis using t-tes showed that the t-value (2.96) was greater than the t-critical value at the level of significance 0.05 with degree of freedom 25 (2.06). It was concluded that there was a significant difference of learning achievement before and after the classroom action research.

Developing Profesi Keguruan Learning Design with Kulsponsi in Higher Education. The study was intended to develop a learning design in Profesi Keguruan with kulsponsi in highereducation, especially to improve attention, activity, and comprehension of students in learning. An action research approach was used in this study. The subjects were students following Profesi Keguruan course offering. The results showed that kulsponsi design can improve the attention, activity, and comprehension of the students.

Improving Students' Ability in English through Non-English Courses. The needs for English felt by the university students are more realistic than those felt by the students at the lower levels of education. Their immediate need for English can be realistic when they have to read English textbooks and other references required in their courses. The lecturers of non-English courses have an important role in making the students' need for English realistic. They can make it realistic by assigning the students to do one or all of the following: read textbooks and references written in English, make a 'clipping' of articles written in English relevant to the topics covered in their courses, write papers in Indonesian based on the references and articles they read, and use English as a medium of instruction partially or fully.

Correlation between the Principal's Managerial Skill and Organizational Climate and Teachers' Performance. This research was conducted to examine the correlation between the principal's managerial skill and organizational climate and teachers' performance. The sample consisted of 125 physical education teachers and principals in Kabupaten Mojokerto. A questionnaire was used to collect data, which were then analyzed statistically by regression analyses. The result indicated that there was a significant correlation between the managerial skill and organizational climate and the teachers' performance. The performance of teachers graduated from sport teacher schools was better than those graduated from non-sport schools.

Study on Educational Costs in Elementary Schools. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of educational cost on the educational quality. A descriptive analytic approach was applied in this study. Data were gathered by questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentary study in all Public Elementary Schools in Kabupaten Bandung. The data were then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by correlation and regression. It could be concluded from data analyses that the cost had a little impact upon educational quality improvement in elementary schools. The were some components of cost significantly contributing to the learning-teaching process and to the quality of learning outcomes.

Effectiveness of Group Learning in Mathematics Instruction. This quasi-experimental research was intended to know the effectiveness of group learning in matematics instruction. The subjects were the 1st graders of SLTP 12 Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan assigned to an experimental group and a control group. Data were gathered using test and documentary study, and were then analyzed by t-test. It could be concluded from data analyses that there was a difference in learning outcomes between students attending group learning and those not attending group learning.

Effectiveness of Development Program for the Elementary School Principals in the Nine-Year Compulsory Education Era. The aim of the research was to know the success of elementary school principals in their supervision program. The population was all elementary school principals in the district of Sitiung, Sawahlunto Sijunjung, West Sumatra. A questionnaire was used to collect data, which were then analyzed statistically by percentages. The result revealed that 36 % of the elementary school principals were moderately effective, 60 % were highly effective and 4 % were very highly effective in their job as administrators. In addition, 28% of them were moderately effective, 32 % were highly effective and 40% were highest effective in their job as instructional supervisors.

The Psychosocial Dynamics of Adolescent in Learning: An Analysis to the Psychosocial Problems of Senior High School (SMU) Students. This study analyse the psychosocial problems of SMU students in learning. The sample consisted of students and teachers of public and private SMUs in Malang. A questionnaire was used to collect data, which were then analyzed qualitatively. It could be concluded that the adolescents were facing serious problems relating to need for affiliation, self actualization, gender role, and continuing education. The public school students were experiencing more serious problems in competition, need for achievement, and social adjustment. The serious problems faced by private students were motivation and concentration, discipline, resposibility, self-confidence, and perception on reality.

The Relevance of Carl Gustav Jung's Philosophy on Androgynity to the Gender Equality in Education. Androgynity concept means that everyone carries within them the feminine and masculine aspects as two eternal images, coexisting as equal and complementary parts of balanced cosmic system. Androgynity concept functions as a pair of opposites complementary, profoundly influencing the relation of all men and women with each other. Based on the research, understanding androgynity concept is important to make both man and women become consciuos of each other's psychic reality and have consciousness of gender equality, mainly in education. Androgynity concept is needed as alternative solution to gender inequality problem in education.

Effectiveness of the Abacus Use in Mathematics Instruction at the Elementary School. This classroom action research was designed to examine the effectiveness of using abacus usage to improve students comprehension on addition and subtraction in story problems. The study involved 1 teacher and 32 students of the Elementary-Laboratory School (SD Laboratorium), State University of Malang. The results showed that the abacus use could improve the students comprehension in learning addition and subtraction stated in story problems. The students mean score was increased from 59.30 in 1st cycle to 78.13 in 2nd cycle.
