Abstract

Geospatial data is an essential element in areas such as spatial planning, natural resource management, disaster mitigation, and transportation planning. However, managing this data requires specialized software, such as QGIS and ArcGIS, which operate offline and do not include the required spatial data directly. The process of acquiring geospatial data, whether through field surveys or accessing online platforms, is often time-consuming and not always as specific as needed. One of the platforms that provide geospatial data in Indonesia is the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), but complicated access procedures are often a barrier for users This study aims to design FORGEDS (Free Open Resource for Geospatial Data and Software), an open-source portal that provides geospatial data and tools that can be accessed easily without going through a complicated login process. Using a Human-Centered Design (HCD) approach with the PACT Framework (People, Activities, Contexts, Technologies), the system is designed to provide an intuitive and efficient user experience. FORGEDS is also built with CSS Bootstrap Framework and Laravel Framework to ensure responsive interface and feature development flexibility. FORGEDS is expected to be an inclusive and efficient solution in the utilization of geospatial data, as well as encourage the use of open-source technology in the wider community.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the website-based learning environment, Emomart, which is integrated with the Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach on improving students' psychomotor competence in routing configurations. This study adopts the Research and Development (RnD) development model with the ADDIE framework. Through the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design and quantitative data analysis, this study found strong empirical evidence that the learning intervention was able to significantly improve students' ability to configure the network. This research data was obtained from SMK Negeri 1 Cerme students in grade XI TKJ with a total of 30 students and the validity of research instruments, including learning media, Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), and assessment instruments, have been tested by experts (lecturers and teachers). The validation results showed the level of conformity in a row, namely, 93% (very valid), 90% (very valid), 88% (very valid), and 77% (valid). The results of high validation of the research instrument and the support of statistical tests corroborate these findings. The statistical test showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the average score of pretest = 71.39 and posttest = 81.84. The results of the Paired-Sample T-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicating a significant increase in students' psychomotor competence after the learning intervention. Thus, the empirical evidence supports the alternative hypothesis, so the null hypothesis is rejected. Therefore, it is concluded that project-based learning with the support of digital platforms can be an effective strategy in improving students' technical skills in the field of computer networks.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement the Sinawang plugin in Moodle as a learning media that supports the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) in designing the student learning process. In addition, this research also aims to evaluate the impact of the use of learning media in improving the competence of Network System Administration in class XI TKJ students at SMKN 1 Kediri. The Sinawang plugin design process utilizes PHP, Javascript, HTML, and CSS programming languages with the Research and Development (R&D) development model. The test design used in this research is Developmental Testing. The results of media testing through the black box testing method show that all components function properly (valid). Data from the validation of media, lesson plans, materials, and questions show the level of validity successively 88% (very valid), 83% (very valid), 80% (valid), and 83% (very valid). The analysis results showed that the average score of the cognitive test on the posttest (86.6) was higher than the pretest (52.8). Similarly, the mean value of the psychomotor test on the posttest (85.9) was also higher than the pretest (74.5). Based on the paired sample t-test results, the Significance (2-tailed) value obtained for both tests is 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. Therefore, in accordance with the basis for decision making in the paired sample t-test, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. This indicates that there is an increase in student competence in Network System Administration subjects through the use of the "Sinawang" plugin with the application of Moodle-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL).
