Abstract

Exit exams in higher education have become a critical focus of educational policy and research, particularly regarding their influence on teaching strategies. This systematic review examines the impact of exit exams on teaching methodologies using the PRISMA framework to ensure rigor and transparency. By synthesizing evidence from 15 peer-reviewed articles, case studies, and reviews, this study identifies key themes such as curriculum alignment, teacher behavior, student engagement, institutional policies, and washback effects. The findings reveal that exit exams can lead to both positive and negative impacts on teaching strategies, depending on factors like exam design, stakeholder expectations, and resource availability. Positive outcomes include improved accountability, standardization, and alignment with industry standards, while negative consequences include "teaching to the test" and reduced opportunities for creative thinking. Contextual factors play a significant role in determining the effectiveness of exit exams. This review highlights the need for balanced approaches that integrate exit exams with broader educational goals. Policymakers, educators, and researchers are encouraged to collaborate in designing exit exams that enhance rather than hinder quality education. Future research should explore longitudinal impacts and innovative strategies to mitigate adverse effects.

The research results show that using the tire and cardboard jumping playing method can improve students' tuck style long jump learning results from pre-cycle to cycle I and from cycle I to cycle II. The learning process in the pre-cycle does not yet use the tire and cardboard jumping playing method to help students learn the tuck style long jump movement so that students' tuck style long jump learning results are still low and students' tuck style long jump learning results are less than optimal. From the results of the analysis, a significant increase was obtained from pre-cycle to cycle I and from cycle I to cycle II. In the pre-cycle, students who completed reached 40.91%. In cycle I, students who completed reached 68.18%. Meanwhile in cycle II it reached 81.82%. The conclusion of this research is that the use of tire and cardboard jumping playing method can improve the tuck style long jump learning results of class VI students of Semedo State Elementary School, Kedungbanteng District, Tegal Regency, Academic Year 2023/2024.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the drill and practice method in improving basic kicking techniques in karate athletes. The research method used is an experiment with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design , involving 20 karate athletes from the Kuningan Karate School. Data were collected through direct observation, skill tests, and measurements before (pretest) and after (posttest) the training intervention. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed an increase in the average value from 65.45 (pretest) to 72.60 (posttest). The normality test (Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk) and homogeneity (Levene's test) ensured that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous (p > 0.05). The paired sample t-test confirmed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest (t (19) = -19.227; p = 0.000), with a mean difference of -7.15 and a 95% confidence interval (-7.928 to -6.372). These findings prove that the drill and practice method significantly improves the basic kicking techniques of karate athletes, especially in terms of speed, accuracy, and strength. Abstract

The use of tactical approaches in physical education focuses on understanding strategy and decision-making in the game, beyond mere technical skills. This study was conducted at SMPN 1 Darma with the aim of analyzing the effect of tactical approaches on students' physical fitness. The method used was an experiment with a pretest-posttest design, involving 20 futsal extracurricular students as a saturated sample. The results showed that students who were trained with a tactical approach experienced a significant increase in physical fitness, especially in the aspects of endurance, agility, and coordination. This increase was due to the active involvement of students in activities that required problem solving and decision making during the game. The implications of this study indicate that the tactical approach is effective as an alternative to physical education learning that can improve students' overall physical fitness and increase student motivation and involvement in training because of its active, challenging nature, and encourage teamwork and problem solving.
