Abstract

The menstrual cycle is a physiological factor thought to influence the physical performance of female athletes through periodic hormonal changes. Fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone levels during the menstrual cycle have the potential to impact athletes' cardiorespiratory capacity and anaerobic performance. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between the menstrual cycle and cardiorespiratory capacity and anaerobic performance in female athletes. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. observational and repeated methods The study sample consisted of 30 active female athletes aged 18–25 years who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Cardiorespiratory capacity measurements were conducted using the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) to obtain VO₂max values , while anaerobic performance was measured using Running-based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST). Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, normality test Shapiro-Wilk , homogeneity test, Pearson Product correlation test Moment , and Repeated Measures ANOVA. The results showed that the follicular phase had the highest VO₂max and maximum power values compared to the menstrual phase and the luteal phase . The correlation test results showed a significant relationship between the menstrual cycle and VO₂max (r=0.642; p=0.001), maximum power (r=0.587; p=0.003), and fatigue. index (r=-0.511; p=0.007). In addition, the results of Repeated ANOVA measures showed significant differences in cardiorespiratory capacity and anaerobic performance between menstrual phases (p<0.05). It was concluded that the menstrual cycle significantly influences cardiorespiratory capacity and anaerobic performance in female athletes, and therefore needs to be considered when developing high-performance sports training programs.

Abstract

Early childhood social development is a crucial foundation for future well‑being and success. However, increased screen time and reduced face‑to‑face interaction pose serious challenges. This study aims to describe the forms, dynamics, and facilitative roles of early childhood social interaction in pushbike activities at the Satria Pushbike Purwokerto Community. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with mixed methods. Subjects were 15 parents and 1 coach. Data collection used observation, semi‑structured interviews, and documentation. Quantitative analysis used SPSS and qualitative analysis used NVivo. Descriptive statistics showed that the average responses fell into the “Often” category (frequency 99) and “Very Often” category (frequency 93). NVivo analysis produced 9 project maps confirming that parental roles and emotional support are the most dominant factors. Pushbike activities within the community function as an effective social laboratory for developing children’s social interaction, with success depending on synergy between parents, coaches, and the peer environment. This study provides empirical evidence for community‑based sports programs oriented toward social interaction in Indonesia.

Abstract

Floor gymnastics learning at the elementary school level is an essential component of physical education that supports students’ motor development. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the successful implementation of basic floor gymnastics movement learning among Phase B students at SD Negeri Adipala 07. This research used a descriptive quantitative approach with a questionnaire instrument consisting of 15 items distributed to third- and fourth-grade students, supported by direct observation during the learning process. The data were analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques with the assistance of Microsoft Excel 2019. The results showed that in grade III, internal factors obtained a percentage of 58% and external factors 68%, while in grade IV, internal factors obtained 57% and external factors 74%. All indicators were categorized as good. These findings indicate that external factors, including the teacher’s role, learning methods, facilities and infrastructure, and the learning environment, have a more dominant influence on learning success than students’ internal factors. This study concludes that the success of basic floor gymnastics learning requires synergy between student readiness, adaptive teacher competence, innovative learning methods, and adequate facility support.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a suitable, practical, and effective Godorboy game model for use in physical education lessons for grade five elementary school students. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach by applying the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The product is validated by experts and tested through small-scale and large-scale trials. The small-scale trial involved 30 students, while the large-scale trial involved 73 students from two schools. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using percentage techniques. The results show that expert validation reaches 97.5% (the category is very appropriate). Small-scale trials reached 78.2% (good category), while large-scale trials reached 97.6% and 95.8% (very good category). These findings suggest that Godorboy's game model is feasible, practical, and effective in increasing student participation and engagement. Therefore, this model can be utilized as an alternative strategy in physical education.

Abstract

Physical education learning in elementary schools tends to be monotonous, less engaging, and limited by inadequate facilities, which affects students’ interest and participation. This study aimed to develop the Bentbol (Ball Fortress) game model as an innova tive PJOK learning alternative suitable for elementary school students. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, con sisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects were fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Rancamaya, SD Negeri 1 Gunung Lurah, and SD Negeri 3 Cilongok. Data were collected through observa-tion, interviews, and questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that the Bentbol game model achieved an expert validation score of 95% in the very feasible category. Small-scale trials obtained 77.53% in the good category, while large-scale trials reached 90.06% in the very good category. The improvement in these results shows that the Bentbol game model is effective in increasing students' activeness, coopera-tion, and movement skills. Therefore, the Bentbol game model is feasible and effective as an innovative and enjoyable PJOK learning alternative in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the partner drill program on the accuracy of passing the precepts in early age athletes. The low accuracy of the bait due to the lack of variation in the exercise was the main background of this study. The research method used was an experiment with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of 30 athletes of the Citra Kartika Sepak Takraw Club aged 8–13 years who were determined through purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument used a feeding precision test with a target zone system to measure the accuracy of the direction and control of the ball. Data analysis was carried out using a paired t-test to compare the athletes' abilities before and after the intervention during 12 meetings. The results showed a significant increase in the average score from 26.43 at the pretest to 32.07 at the posttest, with a significance value of $0.000 < $0.05. These findings indicate that paired exercises are effectively able to improve the coordination of movement and the accuracy of athletes' passes. In depth, the program provides hands-on feedback that accelerates the process of improving technique and increases the social engagement and motivation of athletes. In conclusion, paired training programs are an effective training instrument because they offer a realistic and interactive experience, so it is very relevant to be applied in the golden age phase to optimize motor skills and basic sepak takraw techniques holistically.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parental support in fostering children’s motivation to participate in pushbike activities in Pekalongan City. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach supported by quantitative descriptive data. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, involving parents and children participating in pushbike activities. Quantitative data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics with the aid of SPSS, while qualitative data analysis utilized NVivo through visualizations such as word clouds, mind maps, project maps, and hierarchy charts. The results indicate that parental support plays a significant role in enhancing children’s motivation to participate in pushbike sports. Emotional support, manifested through attention, encouragement, and guidance, helps boost children’s self-confidence and comfort during training and competitions. Instrumental support through the provision of facilities and training needs also contributes to children’s enthusiasm for sports. Additionally, direct parental involvement, positive instructional approaches, peer interactions, and conflict resolution help create an environment that supports children’s physical, social, and psychological development. Thus, parental support is a key factor in build-ing children’s motivation to participate in pushbike sports in Pekalongan City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the explosiveness of the leg muscles and the ability to shoot futsal in students participating in futsal extracurricular at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Semarang. The research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive design. The research population amounted to 40 male students who actively participated in futsal extracurriculars with sampling techniques using total sampling. The data collection instruments included a vertical jump test to measure the explosiveness of leg muscles and a shooting test to measure futsal shooting ability. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Pearson Product Moment correlation test, and determination coefficient analysis. The results of the study showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 which means that there is a positive and significant relationship between the explosive power of the leg muscles and the ability to shoot futsal. The value of the correlation coefficient of 0.539 is included in the category of medium relationships. In addition, the determination coefficient value showed that the explosive power of the leg muscles contributed 29.1% to shooting ability. The study's findings show that students who have better leg muscle explosiveness tend to have stronger and more accurate shooting. Therefore, coaches are advised to implement a training program that focuses on increasing the explosiveness of the leg muscles to improve students' futsal shooting skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low passing ability of 12-year-old soccer players at the BINA LIGA Pemalang Football School, which can be seen from the lack of accuracy of passes and the frequent loss of the ball during the game. This study aims to determine the effect of rectangular passing and triangle passing exercises on players' passing abilities and compare the effectiveness of the two training methods. The research uses a quantitative approach with experimental methods and pretest-posttest design. The research sample amounted to 20 U-12 players who were divided into two groups using saturated sampling techniques. The research instrument used a short pass test to measure a player's passing ability. The treatment was given for 16 meetings with a frequency of exercise three times a week. Data analysis was carried out using normality, homogeneity, and t-test tests. The results showed that both training methods had a significant influence on improving passing ability with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The average passing value of the quadrilateral group increased from 170.00 to 315.00, while the triangular group increased from 170.00 to 330.00. The conclusion of this study is that the practice of square passing and triangular passing is effective in improving passing ability, but the practice of passing triangle is more effective than the passing of the triangle.

Abstract

Floor gymnastics is a sport that requires very complex coordination of movements, high precision, and perfect mastery of technique by combining muscle strength, flexibility, and motor coordination. In this study, it was determined to determine the contribution of sit-up exercises to candle attitudes in gymnastics gesaid club athletes. This study uses a correlational approach with one data collection. The population and sample in this study used 10 athletes with a total sampling technique. The data analysis in this study used a correlation test and a determination coefficient test. The results of the study showed that the contribution of sit-ups to the attitude of candles in gymnastics gesaid club athletes with an R square value of 0.448. It shows that the higher the strength of the abdominal muscles with the sit up exercise, the more stable it is to perform the skill by contributing 44.8% to the candle attitude of the athletes of the Gesaid Gymnastics Club. In conclusion, sit-up training is a supporting variable that directly affects the mastery of technique, position endurance, and the beauty of candlestick movements for athletes.
