Abstract

Abstract

Abstract Physical Education, Sports and Health still uses conventional approaches, such as lectures, discussions and assignments, but teachers have not used technology to improve their learning. The aim of this research is to create pencak silat learning media that students can use via an Android application. Research and development (R&D) is carried out using the ADDIE model, which consists of several stages: 1) Analysis (Analysis), 2) Design (Designing), 3) Development (Development), 4) Implementation (Application), and 5) Evaluation (Evaluation). This research used a sample of students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Cilacap and Ma'arif NU 1 Kemranjen High School. Quantitative descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. Based on the assessments of several experts—material, media, and language—it can be concluded that the learning media created is very suitable for use. The media expert's score was 87% with "very feasible" criteria, the material expert's assessment was 94% with "very feasible" criteria, the language expert's score was 100% with "very feasible" criteria, and the small and large scales test score was 91% with "very feasible" criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of sports facilities and infrastructure in supporting the achievement development of pencak silat athletes in IPSI Jepara Regency. The research is grounded in the premise that adequate training facilities are crucial for effective coaching, athlete motivation, and performance outcomes. A qualitative approach was applied, employing in-depth interviews and participatory observations. Participants consisted of 5 athletes (3 male, 2 female), 3 coaches, and 2 IPSI administrators. Data were analyzed through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the availability of facilities and infrastructure remains limited in both quantity and quality, affecting training effectiveness, athlete comfort, and self-confidence in competitions. Nevertheless, athletes and coaches maintain strong motivation despite the minimal training environment. The study concludes that improving the quality and availability of sports facilities is essential to enhance pencak silat performance at regional and national levels

Abstract

This systematic review aims to evaluate empirical evidence on the effectiveness of integrating small-sided games with digital gamification in enhancing the appeal of Physical Education-learning. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following PRISMA guidelines was applied to ten selected empirical articles from indexed databases spanning 2015-2025. The results of the analysis show a positive convergence between the two approaches. Digital gamification, through elements such as points, badges, leaderboards, and progress bars, successfully transforms small-sided game activities into a series of structured challenges. This transformation significantly boosts students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, learning engagement, as well as the duration and intensity of physical activity. Furthermore, this integration creates a holistic synergy: beyond optimizing physical goals, it also strengthens socio-affective dimensions by utilizing small-sided games as a vehicle for developing cooperation, sportsmanship, and communication. The success of implementation heavily relies on careful pedagogical design, which balances competitive (performance-oriented) elements with mastery-oriented ones to ensure inclusivity and avoid excessive pressure. Practical implications emphasize the importance of teacher training and the use of gamification data for formative assessment. Further research with rigorous experimental designs, larger and more diverse samples, and long-term outcome measurements is needed to strengthen the findings and refine implementation guidelines.
