Abstract

Green-antibacterial is another alternatif as an antibiotic. One of the natural ingredients which has green-antibacterial properties is bitter melon (Momordica charantia). Bitter melon has compounds that function as antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti carcinogenic. This is due to bitter melon fruit has active compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and phenols. In this research, bitter melon is maserated by aquadest in a various ratio weight per volume (w/v) 1:40, 1:20, 1:13,3 and 1:10 for 24 hours. Filtrate is filtered then dried for 10 hours to get the crude extract of biter melon. phytochemical test, measurement of total phenolic content (TPC), antibacterial and antifungal test. According to the result, bitter melon extract contain alkaloids, saponins and tanins with the highest value of total phenolic content measurement is the rasio of 1:10 scilicet 0,3390 g GAE/g sample. The strongest inhibition is found in ratio 1:10 with an average diameter is 14,5 ± 2,12 mm. Whilst, for the antifungal test, the inhibition zone is only found in the 1:13,3 and 1:10 ratios with an average diameters are 7±0,42 mm dan 8,65±0,071 mm.

Abstract

Public street lighting (PJU) is important as a public facility, which must be considered so that the system remains well maintained and optimal. Sometimes the condition of the lamp is not known the state of the system, because it is located in a location that is not directly accessible. Solution to overcome these problems using the Internet of Things (IOT), to monitor the condition of PJU equipment that is integrated with the internet network.This tool uses a 12 VDC battery, as the main energy source to operate the entire system. Solar panels will be input for energy for the charging process on the battery and also the lighting process by the PJU lights. This tool uses a microcontroller Wemos D1 Mini to control the system and connecting to the web server. ACS 712 current sensor and voltage sensor as parameters for monitoring the state of the PJU system, during the process of charging and supplying to the PJU lights.To ensure the system functions, measurements and tests are carried out, which include: Measurement of voltage and current from the solar panel for the process of charging to the battery as well as measurement of voltage and current from the battery when charging and discharging; Measurement of voltage and current of LED lights as lighting; Measurement of PIR sensor response time to distance and range distance; and Testing system monitoring on Android applications, as a whole system test.This tool is able to work automatically in the charging process and also the lighting process which is triggered based on the solar panel output voltage by the BCR, and the system can adjust the intensity of the lighting with PIR sensor parameters. The monitoring system can function in real time on an android smartphone.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis variabel kualitas layanan serta pengaruhnya terhadap kepuasan konsumen. Melalui penelitian ini, penulis dapat mengetahui besar pengaruh yang terjadi terhadap kepuasan konsumen dan mengetahui penilaian konsumen terhadap kualitas layanan kapal Mentawai Fast. Menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling, dimana sampel yang akan digunakan adalah orang yang pernah menggunakan kapal Mentawai Fast dalam jangka waktu 1 tahun terakhir. Metode analisis penelitian menggunakan validitas dan reliabilitas, normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor kualitas layanan berdasarkan tangible, reliability dan empathy memiliki pengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen. Sedangkan faktor kualitas layanan berdasarkan variabel responsiveness dan assurance tidak berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan konsumen.

Abstract

CV. XYZ adalah salah satu produsen cone paper yang menggunakan sistem penataan random based-storage, dan penelusuran bahan baku juga hanya berda sarkan pada ingatan para petugas gudang. Permasalahan lain yang dihadapi adalah pencarian material menjadi lama, total jarak perpindahan menjadi tidak optimal, dan selalu merasa kekurangan ruang di gudang. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut peneliti akan melakukan perbaikan tata letak gudang, perancangan sistem rak yang yang spesifik untuk industri cone paper, dan peningkatan sistem informasi persediaan dengan pemanfaatan teknologi RFID. Ketiga aspek tersebut: tata letak, sistem rak, dan sistem informasi persediaan; perlu dilakukan secara simultan karena ketiga aspek tersebut saling terkait. Perbaikan tata letak gudang bahan baku usulan menggunakan metode class based storage, di mana bahan baku dikelompokkan berdasarkan kesamaan jenis. Perbaikan tersebut dapat menghemat jarak perpindahan sejauh 38,5%, mempercepat proses pencarian, dan mempermudah proses loading/unloading. Pada desain rak gulungan usulan akan mampu menjalankan aturan FIFO, mempercepat pencarian bahan baku gulungan, dan mengurangi risiko kerusakan akibat tertumpuk dan disimpan terlalu lama. Pada sistem informasi usulan yang didukung dengan sistem identifikasi akan mampu mempercepat serta mengurangi kesalahan perhitungan dan pencatatan bahan baku akibat human error, dan juga mempercepat proses pembuatan laporan dan pencarian bahan baku.

Abstract

Sword koro (Canavalia ensiformis) is one of the local beans commonly used by the community as raw material for making tempeh. Sword M. pruriens have the advantage of being easily cultivated because they are acid-resistant and dry-resistant (Gozal, 2015). In its processing, the M. pruriens contain cyanogen glucoside (HCN) so that when consumed directly it will have a negative effect on the body. The content can be removed by heating, soaking and fermenting. Besides the processing of beans, the other most important part is the stripping process. The epidermis of the koro sword is thick enough so that if it is done traditionally it will result in fatigue for workers and requires a long time. In previous studies that have been carried out there are deficiencies in previous tools that need to be repaired, and therefore will be redesigned on these tools. Some of these parts include the dimensions of the tool, stripping space, and the position of the lever that is not right. As the main media for peeling the koro sword. By considering using anthropometric data and the TRIZ method as a medium for designing the koro sword paring tool, a solution has been obtained. The dimensions and position of the parts used are in accordance with the average height of the human body in Indonesia and the stripping space is changed from vertical to horizontal with a rotary disc.

Abstract

Keterbatasan ruang menjadi salah satu permasalahan dalam ruangan lingkup tempat tinggal. Salah satu faktor yang memicu keterbatasan ruang adalah furnitur yang digunakan memakan ruang yang cukup besar, dengan fungsi furnitur yang sangat terbatas. Smart furniture merupakan desain furnitur yang bersifat multifungsi dan dibuat dengan tujuan menghemat ruang namun tetap memaksimalkan fungsinya. Aplikasi smart furniture di Indonesia masih sangat sedikit dan belum dikenal secara umum, sehingga furnitur di Indonesia umumnya masih menghabiskan banyak ruang. Dengan demikian muncul ide untuk membuat furnitur berupa meja tulis dengan fitur tinggi yang adjustable dan mengandung konsep smart furniture. Fitur adjustable pada meja tulis tersebut menggunakan mekanisme batang ulir yang diputarkan dengan motor DC torsi tinggi 12v-24v dan dikendalikan oleh pengguna menggunakan tombol untuk mengatur ketinggiannya, sehingga memungkinkan untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai standing desk. Dengan konsep smart furniture, desain alat ini dibuat minimalis sehingga dapat menghemat ruang, namun memiliki fungsi maksimal. Bentuk fisik alat ini dipertimbangkan agar tetap memberikan kenyamanan bagi pengguna. Hasil yang diharapkan dengan realisasi alat ini adalah masyarakat menjadi lebih mengenal konsep smart furniture dan memanfaatkannya sebagai solusi untuk masalah keterbatasan ruang, misalnya dalam tempat tinggal minimalis seperti apartemen.

Abstract

This paper discusses an air cooler that works with a steam compression cycle. This equipment can be used as a replacement for an air-cooler, an air-cooler that works with evaporative cooling. The refrigerant used is R134a. The main components of the vapor compression cycle consist of: compressor, evaporator, condenser, and capillary tube. The total electric power of the air cooler is 148 watt. If the intake air temperature is 30oC with RH 70% and the intake air flow rate is 2.13 m/s, then this air cooler can produce air with a temperature of 25.2 oC and RH 93%. The COP of this air cooler is 2.47. Research can be developed by lowering the working temperature of the evaporator or the working temperature of the condenser.

Abstract

The demand for bananas as fresh fruit and as raw material for food processing products in Madiun City is not only fulfilled by banana production from the city of Madiun. The regency area around the city of Madiun has a major contribution in meeting the need for bananas in the city of Madiun. Among them are the Madiun district, namely Dungus, Kare, Dolopo districts and the Ngawi district, namely Ngawi district, Magetan district, namely Takeran sub-district, Ponorogo district, namely Ponorogo district, Bojonegoro district, and Blora districtProcessing bananas into banana flour is an effort to increase the absorption capacity of banana production and provide added value to banana commodities. Freshly harvested bananas are bananas that are still unripe with the characteristics of the fruit is still hard and has a high starch content. When the bananas are in new harvest conditions, they can be processed into banana flour.The demand for flour in the local area of Madiun City has not been proven to be significant as seen from the retail traders who have not provided banana flour. Food processing businesses in Madiun City are not familiar with the use of banana flour as a food raw material. Banana flour marketing can be done through online marketplaces such as Tokopedia, Shopee, and Blibli.The results of the study concluded that the critical factor of the supply chain for bananas and banana flour is on the farmer's side, where the cropping pattern of the farmers can be coordinated in relation to the timing and type of banana. Coordination requires synergy with government agencies and farmer group institutions. Market share at the banana farmer level is quite efficient, at 42-67%. The margin for the banana flour product is Rp. 5,625 / kg with an added value of 0.48%.

Abstract

One of the methods for treating industrial waste is using the electro-flotation (EF) method. In this study, the EF method used requires stainless steel as the anode and aluminum as the cathode. Industrial wastewater treated using the EF method comes from PT. Surabaya Rungkut Industrial Estate (SIER). Liquid waste is put into the EF basin, then the power supply is turned on and then the voltage and contact time are adjusted. After the EF process, the treated wastewater was sampled in a certain amount to measure the value of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and the number of bacterial colonies. Based on the calculation, the result shows that with an electric voltage of 32.5 volts and a contact time of 60 minutes, the result is the largest decrease in COD and TSS values. COD decreased from 236.66 mg / L to 24.56 mg / L or 90%, TSS decreased from 187 mg / L to 34.33 mg / L or 81.64%. While the decline in bacterial colonies from 4,7.104   to 4,03.103  or 91,42% decrease at the mains voltage of 19 volts and contact time for 20 minutes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the concentration of the main raw material compounds of cement making before adding limestone additives and determining the compressive strength and porosity and water absorption of cement before adding limestone additives. The result showed that cement with the concentration of 3CaO.SiO2 = 96,9%; 2CaO.SiO2 = negative; 3CaO.Al2O3 = 4,4%; 4CaO.Al2O3.Fe2O3 = 9.7%. If added limestone additive then it will decrease the adhesiveness and create a very wide pore can make a building becomes fragile. Such concentrated cement can not withstand the reaction of other particles from the air.
