Abstract

Dichotomy between Islam and religionIn Islam, since the beginning of Islam emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge, viewing both as a path to a better understanding of God and the universe, but often over time, there has been a debate about the relationship between modern science and Islamic teachings. This research aims to find out when and what causes the dichotomy between science and religion. This research uses a literature study method by exploring sources related to the background of the dichotomy between science and religion in Islam. The results show that in Islam itself there is no scientific dictytomy. And the separation between science and religion occurred in the Middle Ages, precisely in the 11th century AD, or also called the golden age where the peak occurred in the abbasid state. It's just that in this time there are scientists who are more inclined or more in-depth in knowledge according to their respective abilities. And it is also explained in the Qur'an that science and religion must be well integrated with each other. Keywords: Background and Development, Dichotomy, Science and Religion

Abstract

Low science learning achievement is a problem in class V of MI Ya BAKII Planjan. This is due to the low understanding of students in learning science and the lack of selection of appropriate learning media, especially on material on Human Blood Circulation. Therefore, the researcher conducted this PTK with the aim of finding out how to use video learning media in improving the understanding of science learning materials about human blood circulation in grade 5 at MI Ya BAKII Planjan. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a cycle model which is carried out in semester 1, namely in October-November 2021. There are two cycles with a total of 22 students. The data collection technique is by test, observation, and documentation. The result of this study is that the use of video learning media in the science subject of Human Circulation material class V at MI Ya BAKII Planjan is proven to increase students' understanding of the material. This can be seen from the results of the evaluation in each cycle. In the initial condition, 9 students or 41% of students completed the course, in cycle 1 there were 11 children or 50% of the students who completed the course, and in cycle 2 there were 19 children or 86% of the students with a total of 22 children. The data shows that from the initial learning before using the video learning media, students who completed it were only 9 children. After using video learning media in cycle 1, the number of students who completed the program increased to 11 children. And in cycle 2 it increased again to 19 students who completed. Thus, each cycle has increased in terms of understanding and mastery of learning materials. Keywords : Video Learning Media, Science Learning

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the relationship between Islam and science from the perspectives of conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration. This study employs a literature review approach, drawing on various references and sources as the foundation. The findings indicate that the four models of the relationship between Islam and science conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration represent a spectrum of perspectives in understanding the interaction between these two disciplines. In the Islamic tradition, the approaches of independence and dialogue tend to be more dominant, with an increasing number of Muslim scholars and scientists advocating for the integration of scientific discoveries with religious teachings. This approach underscores the importance of collaboration between science and religion in achieving a deeper understanding of the universe and the purpose of human life. Abstract

Artikel ini membahas hubungan antara sains dan agama dalam konteks Islam. Integrasi antara kedua disiplin ini telah menjadi bagian penting dari tradisi intelektual Islam, dan artikel ini menyoroti berbagai model integrasi, termasuk Islamisasi sains, saintifikasi Islam, konvergensi, dan komplementeritas. Masing- masing model menawarkan pendekatan yang berbeda dalam menggabungkan sains dan agama, baik dalam penelitian, pendidikan, maupun kebijakan publik. Dengan menggabungkan pengetahuan empiris dengan nilai-nilai spiritual, integrasi ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya pemahaman umat Muslim tentang alam semesta dan kehidupan, serta memperkuat iman mereka kepada Tuhan. Tantangan dan peluang dalam integrasi ini juga dibahas, termasuk perbedaan metodologi serta potensi kontribusi positif bagi keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesejahteraan sosial. Artikel ini menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi antara ilmuwan dan sarjana agama untuk menciptakan solusi holistik yang bermanfaat bagi umat manusia secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

The impact of social media will always be positive and negative, it depends on the user and each of us, whether we can take advantage of it or can only get caught up in things that are negative. Good morals will be formed from an early age, including in the teenage phase, which is very important for the future of the teenager himself. The influence of social media on teenagers today also has an impact on the morals or character of teenagers, because of the nature of social media which makes its users addicted, and social media does not have patent rules, in terms of the language used or words that are actually inappropriate. to say or not to say on social media. This makes today's teenagers less ethical towards fellow students and even less ethical towards their parents. Several inappropriate photos uploaded or exhibited on social media have now become a trend among teenagers. Guidance becomes spectacle and spectacle becomes guidance, this is how teenagers behave today. The lack of knowledge regarding religious knowledge, especially regarding the morals of teenagers, means that they do not understand and understand the importance of morals for themselves, so that they seem to have no ethics when commenting or writing statuses on social media at will without thinking about whether what they write deviates from what religion teaches. Abstract

Character Development Management is crucial to implement, as the issue of character education and its management in Indonesia has yet to be fully integrated into the education system. The mids rapid technological, elementary school childrens are increasingly exposed to gadgets, which have the potential to affect how they interact with others. This study uses both qualitative methods, including surveys of parents and observations of children's behavior in social situations. The results show that parents who actively regulate their children's gadget usage tend to have children with better social skills. In contrast, children who have unlimited access to gadgets and receive less supervision from their parents tend to struggle with building social relationships, which can negatively impact their emotional development and interpersonal skills. This study aims to explore how parents can manage gadget use within the family, as well as understand its impact on the development of children's social skills. Additionally, the research discusses strategies that parents can apply to create an environment that supports character and social skills development, even in a technology-driven world. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for parents, educators, and policymakers in efforts to create a smart, balanced, and socially generation.
