Abstract

Satisfaction is a crucial aspect of a marital relationship. The subjective nature of an individual's views and reactions to their marriage is a well-documented phenomenon. The potential for various risks to arise if individuals are dissatisfied with their marriage is considerable. One such risk is the potential for separation. One aspect of sexuality that can influence marital satisfaction is sexual motivation. One of the principal determinants of marital satisfaction is the individual's motive for engaging in sexual relations. The objective of this research is to ascertain the relationship between sexual motivation and marital satisfaction in young married adult men. This research employs quantitative methods. The subjects of this research were 604 participants. The sampling technique employed a purposive sampling approach, with the subjects comprising married young adult males, aged between 20 and 40 years. Marital satisfaction was gauged utilizing the Relationship Assessment Scale (RAS) instrument, while sexual motivation was quantified using the Multidimensional Sexual-Self Concept Questionnaire (MSCCQ) instrument. The results of Spearman's rho analysis indicate that the p value is .508, which is greater than .05. This indicates that there is no correlation between sexual motivation and marital satisfaction in young adult men. Further research is required to ascertain whether there are intervening variables that can explain the correlation between the two research variables

This study describes the self-acceptance of adolescent girls who do early marriage and motherhood at a young age. The research sources comprised six people, of which two were primary subjects and four were significant others. The criteria for participants used in this study are adolescent girls who married under the age of 19 and have children from the marriage. The method used in this research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. This research shows that primary informant 1 has good self-acceptance because she can interpret the situation and be responsible for her decisions. Interpret the problem, take responsibility for the decisions, and adjust to her roles as wife and mother. Meanwhile, self-acceptance in primary informant 2 is not good enough because she has yet to view the situation positively and adapt to her role as a wife and mother.

Abstract

The Indonesian government defines domestic violence as any act of violence against a person, particularly women, that results in physical, sexual, psychological, or economic harm or suffering within the home. This encompasses threats of violence, coercion, and the deprivation of freedom. The high prevalence of domestic violence and the negative impacts that occur on victims of domestic violence make problems related to domestic violence a significant problem that affects the quality of life. This research employs a qualitative research method with a case study approach, with the objective of elucidating the quality of life of women who are divorced as a result of domestic violence. The findings of this study indicate that the participants' physical condition deteriorated following divorce, increasing their susceptibility to disease. Furthermore, the psychological condition of the participants was found to be poor, their spiritual quality was low, and their social relationships declined. However, following the commencement of employment, women who were divorced due to domestic violence were ultimately able to enhance their quality of life, including attaining greater financial stability and psychological well-being. This was characterized by a lack of fear and depression. Furthermore, there was a discernible improvement in their quality of life in social relationships, manifested in the form of numerous interpersonal connections

Abstract

Emerging adulthood is a transition period between adolescence and adulthood, where most psychological disorders occur. Emerging adults with K-pop music preferences could also join a fan community, which brings benefits and vulnerability toward mental health because of the dynamics among fans and artists. Hence, emerging adults with mental health problems are suggested to seek a professional to get the appropriate treatment. This study aims to describe the attitude towards psychological professional help. Using the Indonesian ATSPPH-SF as the main instrument, 156 participants from a K-Pop fan community participated voluntarily. The result indicated that most participants had moderate attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help. There was no significant difference in help-seeking attitude by mental health information and visiting professional help. This study implies the importance of better education about help-seeking by introducing mental health professionals to the K-pop fan community. Future studies may consider gathering extensive data from many K-pop fan communities in Indonesia

Abstract

The term "crossplay" is used to describe an individual who engages in role-play (costume and play) by assuming a character of a different gender than their own in the context of cosplay. This discrepancy in identity frequently gives rise to the labelling and negative perceptions of crossplayers within society. The objective of this research is to gain insight into the self-identity of crossplayers. This research employs a qualitative methodology with a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques employed were interviews and observation. The subjects of this research were two primary sources and four secondary sources from Yogyakarta. The research employs an interactive model analysis. The findings indicate that each crossplayer has a distinct etiology and motive for engaging in crossplay. However, both groups seek to express themselves freely through crossplay, in conjunction with their closest associates. Crossplay provides a forum for resource persons to explore in order to develop their self-identity

Abstract

In light of the considerable number of cases documented on an annual basis, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has emerged as a condition with a rising prevalence in recent times. There is a greater prevalence of ASD in males than in females, both in terms of overall incidence and the presentation of symptoms. Additionally, males with ASD tend to exhibit more functional impairments and repetitive behaviors. To gain a deeper understanding of these variations, further research is required. The principal objective of this study is to ascertain whether there are gender disparities in the frequency and symptoms of autism spectrum disorders in Malaysia. The Malay translation of the Autism Spectrum Quotient – Children's Version and the Children's Autism Spectrum Test have been completed by parents or caregivers of fifty-two children between the ages of seven and twelve who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The current research indicates that, in terms of prevalence, there is a ratio of 1:5 in favor of males over females. However, no clear differences were observed between the sexes in terms of ASD symptoms in this study group. Significant advances in the prevention or treatment of autism spectrum disorders in men and women can be achieved through systematic efforts to understand gender differences in the prevalence and symptoms of these diseases in Malaysia.

To fulfil their emotional intelligence, adolescence is influenced by a variety of factors, including the role of parents. Parents, as the primary figure in the care of adolescents, have a significant role in the development of adolescent emotional intelligence. This study aims to determine the effect of perceived father involvement in parenting on adolescents' emotional intelligence. The research method was correlational research, conducted on a sample of 180 adolescents in Indonesia, aged between 13 and 18 years. A convenience sampling technique was used for the selection of participants. The father's involvement scale consists of 27 items with an alpha coefficient of 0.959, while the emotional intelligence scale consists of 12 items with a coefficient of 0.868. In this study, the hypothesis test is a simple linear regression analysis, using JASP 0.18.3 software. Abstract

Some adolescents demonstrate a deficiency in awareness regarding mental health. This deficit in knowledge is attributable to a lack of mental health literacy. The objective of this research is to ascertain the efficacy of psychoeducation in enhancing mental health literacy among teenagers belonging to the Karang Taruna organisation. Eighteen participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique, with the criteria being young men or women who were members of Karang Taruna. The methodology employed in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. The results of the data analysis, conducted using the Paired Sample T-test, indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The results demonstrated a notable increase in scores from the pretest to the posttest following the administration of psychoeducation. This outcome substantiates the efficacy of psychoeducation in enhancing public awareness about mental health literacy. It is anticipated that by fostering mental health literacy, individuals will be better equipped to identify, comprehend, and avert issues pertaining to mental health.
