Proceeding Maritime Business Management Conference (MBMC) diselenggarakan oleh Program Studi Manajemen Bisnis, Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya. Dibutuhkannya branding program studi Manajemen Bisnis Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya atau dapat disingkat menjadi MB PPNS secara lebih luas sehingga harus menghasilkan sebuah program kerja yang dapat mengekspansi sebuah branding jangkauan yang lebih besar, yaitu dengan mengundang pembicara – pembicara handal di bidang Bisnis Maritim yang merupakan identitas MB PPNS kemudian dikemas dalam kegiatan Seminar Nasional guna memfasilitasi KMMB dalam hal publikasi tugas akhir. Dengan diadakannya kegiatan MBMC, diharapkan dapat menambah pengetahuan audience di bidang Bisnis dan Maritim dan dapat memperkenalkan MB PPNS secara lebih luas ke seluruh wilayah di Indonesia. Selain itu, diadakannya kegiatan Proceeding Maritime Business Management Conference (MBMC) , diharapkan dapat membantu proses penilaian akreditasi program studi Manajemen Bisnis Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya serta meningkatkan minat mahasiswa tingkat akhir untuk mempublikasikan Tugas Akhir. Abstract

Each company has its own strategy to promote and maintain its products in the market. The promotion that is considered the most effective and influential by the gas subholding company in this study is Personal Selling by forming a value perception towards customers. This study aims to determine the effect of personal selling and perceived value variables on purchase decisions. In this study, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique, namely 71 respondents. The method of completion in this study was using multiple linear regression analysis using the help of IBM SPSS version 26 software. The results of the analysis show that personal selling variables (????1) and perceived value (????2) have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions. The conclusion of this study proves that with the implementation of good personal selling in a salesperson, it provides understanding to prospective customers about the products offered so that it will generate interest in the products offered. This is the same as having a high Perceived Value will change a good perception of prospective customers, where prospective customers who initially do not give their trust to household natural gas products become trusted and subscribe to become loyal customers so that personal selling and perceived value have an influence in increasing Purchase Decisions.

Abstract

Quality Management is one of the activities of a foundry manufacturing company in order to develop and continue to manage the business processes in it. One of the VS casting products has a production period of 1 month from the injection moulding process to the machining stage using CNC lathe and milling. In quantity, many products have quality levels that are not up to standard. Based on data from the beginning of the year in February 2023, observations were made for 1 month to recap the production results in the finishing department of the machining section. It was recorded that there were 40% defective products out of a total of 686 pcs. After making improvements using the DMAIC method, the finished good machining target has increased to 52%. Coupled with the help of Minitab statistical software in calculating the sigma value from 2.09 can change to 2.2 with an initial DPMO of 275,520 down to 261,662. The calculation is also equipped with a cause analysis using the 4M + 1E factor and the implementation of improvements to each cause. The writing of this paper also provides advice on using form control to anticipate the loss of quality in VS products.

Abstract

The main goal of the company is to increase the value of the company in the long term. Firm value is interpreted as an investor's view of the company's level of success in managing company resources. This research was conducted to analyze the effect of profitability, free cash flow and firm size on firm value with debt policy as an intervening variable. The p opulation in this study is the transportation and logistics sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using purpove sampling. The samples used in this study were 17 companies. The method for examining the influence between variables is to test panel data regression analysis and path analysis. The results of this study indicate that profitability and debt policy have an effect on firm value, because the greater the profitability and debt policy values, the greater the firm value, while free cash flow and firm size have no effect on firm value. Profitability has an effect on debt policy, because the higher the profitability, the lower the debt policy, while free cash flow and size have no effect on debt policy. The intervening variable of debt policy cannot mediate the influence between profitability on debt policy. Companies in the transportation and logistics sector need to increase free cash flow and optimize the number of assets so that they can attract investors' attention regarding investment decisions that can indicate an increase in company value.

Abstract

Freight forwarding is a service company that aims to represent the interests of the owner of the goods in taking care of all the activities required during delivery to receipt of goods. The subject in this study is a freight forwarding company in Surabaya. The increasing competition among companies engaged in logistics encourages each company to measure the level of customer satisfaction so as to find out how satisfied customers are with the company's services. The research method used is the method of Service Quality (Servqual) and the results in the study obtained all attributes of negative value with the highest value of each dimension is on the Tangibles dimension with attributes of sophistication owned physical facilities and facilities and infrastructure in serving consumers by -0.39, Reliability dimension with attributes of accuracy of handling or administrating records/documents by - 0.74, Responsive dimension with attributes, assurance dimension with employee attributes has a good ability in providing services of -0.67, and Emphaty dimension with employee willingness attributes in informing the existence/constraints of - 0.39. From the analysis it can be concluded that customers are still not satisfied with the company's service so the company must be quick to fix the shortcomings.

Abstract

Natural gas distribution in Indonesia is used to replace the role of LPG which has been used by the community for household activities and commercial industry which has been expanded by the government. As is the case in the Surabaya area, through the Natural Gas Distribution Company, the government is starting to replace the useof LPG Gas with Natural Gas. The purpose of this research is to determine the company's internal and external factors and determine alternative commercial customer business development strategies for the company. The method used is SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Threats, Opportunities). The tools used to analyze data are the IFE Matrix, EFE Matrix, IE Matrix and SWOT Matrix which are used as research calculation tools. Theresults of this research show that there are 12 internal factors consisting of 8 strengths and 4 weaknesses and 10external factors consisting of 6 opportunities and 4 threats. Weighting on external aspects that are opportunitiesis the LPG scarcity factor and the company's threat is limited network availability. Meanwhile, in internal weighting, the strength is product quality and the weakness is the lack of human resources to carry out the strategy. The results of the analysis show that the company is in cell IV position, which means growth and development andthere are 2 alternative strategies, so the strategies that must be carried out and implemented by the company are market penetration and market development. Market Penetration Strategy is a strategy that aims to increase market share in the same market with more intensive marketing efforts, then Market Development Strategy is a strategy that aims to offer existing products and services to attract new markets or customers.

Abstract

This research was conducted at a logistics service company located in Surabaya and engaged in freight forwarding or commonly referred to as ship cargo expeditions. This logisticsservice company also acts as a Logistics Service Provider (LSP) with several service categories, namely warehousing, stuffing/stripping, ICL, FCL, tally, surveyor, inland transport, general freight forwarding, project & contract logistics, and custom clearance. In all freight forwarding business activities, of course there are several risks of operational failure that causing losses to the company. Therefore, this study uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to identify and find the risk of failure that occurs that is processed to find the value of the Risk Priority Number (RPN) and the critical risk of operational failure. The results of the study show 8 critical risks and risk management is needed. In handling risk in this company uses 4 strategies, namely immediate action, immediate attention, periodic attention, and annual evaluation.

Abstract

Purchasing decisions are the final goal in marketing a product. Factors that can influence consumer purchasing decisions, including product quality, price, and service quality. The population of this research is the consumers of Hisana Fried Chicken Wringinanom. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with 100 respondents as the sample. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire and the data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis.The results of data analysisfrom this study indicate that Product, price, service quality variables simultaneously affect on purchasing decisions with F count 69,005 > F table 2,70. While partially the product variable has no effect on purchasing decisions with t count 1.759 < t table 1.985 but the price and quality of purchase variables affect purchasing decisions with t count variable price 2,975 > t table 1,985 and t count variable service quality 8.872 > t table 1,985. It was suggested to improve service quality on Hisana Fried Chicken Wringinanom.

Abstract

The Surabaya Logistics Company has a form of integration of all Freight Forwarding businesses in general, starting from the goods sent to the goods arriving at the destination country. In all Freight Forwarding business activities, problems are certainly not spared. The problems that occur are packaging damage and Ferro Nickel. Damage to the packaging and Ferro Nickel occurred because the Hoang Trieu 69 or break bulk ship did not use a professional guide ship so the Hoang Trieu 69 or break bulk ship hit a coral reef which couldtear the ship's wall. Damaged packaging and Ferro Nickel resulted in less effective operational activities. This loss has an impact on operational activities at the Surabaya Logistics Company. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the problem, theconsequences it causes, and the solution to the problem. So this study uses the Failure Modeand Effect Analysis (FMEA) method to look for risks that are processed to calculate the RiskPriority Number (RPN) and critical risks found in the Surabaya Logistics Company. Criticalrisks are used to find the root cause using the Fishbone Diagram method. In this study uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method and the Fishbone Diagram method. The results of the study show that there is 1 critical risk that requires risk management. In handling risk at the Surabaya Logistics Company, it uses 4 strategies, namely immediate action, immediate attention, periodic attention, and annual evaluation. So this research was conducted to minimize the future of the Surabaya Logistics Company.

Abstract

One aspect related to human resources that must be considered by the organization is employee performance. Performance is the level of achievement of results on the implementation of certain tasks. Based on the context of human resource development, the performance of an employee in a company is needed. Thisstudy aimed to determine the effect of individual characteristics and effective communication on employee performance in the sea transportation and shipping service company group. This study used a causal associative approach. The statistical test technique used was multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 25, by distributed questionnaires to 41 respondents. The results of this study indicated that individual characteristics significantly influenced employee performance, while effective communication did not significantly influence employee performance. Based on the simultaneous test results obtained F-count 20.426 greater than F-table 3.238 which showed that simultaneously individual characteristics and effective communication affect employee performance. In addition to attention to technical competence, companies must also pay attention to these two variables in optimizing their performance. Employees who have good individual characteristics and high effective communication skills tend to have better performance. This research can be a reference for companies in managing human resources more effectively.

Abstract

In the process of making fiberglass boats, there are many suppliers who supply the main materials for boats, one of which is CSM. Selection and evaluation of key material suppliers is one of the most important supply chain activities. In the process of selecting and evaluating suppliers, shipbuilding companies in Sidoarjo are often oriented towards the lowest price and this causes problems such as delays in material delivery. These problems can cause major losses for shipyards. This research aims to analyze the weight values of criteria, subcriteria and alternative suppliers so that companies can obtain the best Chopped Strand Mat (CSM) supplier who can provide the components needed by the shipyard. This research uses the AHP method to determine criteria, sub-criteria and alternative suppliers that comply with company standards. Based on the results of weighting between criteria, the highest weight for the quality criteria was obtained at 0.475 and from the results of weighting between subcriteria, the highest weight for the product specification sub-criteria was 0.208. Based on the results of the performance evaluation between suppliers, it was found that the KKT07FBG supplier was the best supplier with a weight of 0.110.
