Abstract

Sebagian besar studi empiris tentang perilaku kerja-sikap kerja difokuskan pada hubungan antara kinerja dan sikap kerja tanpa mempertimbangkan faktor lain yang mungkin mempengaruhi hubungan tersebut. Kebutuhan atas pencapaian merupakan suatu variabel disposisional yang berpotensi untuk memoderasi asosiasi antara kinerja dan sikap kerja. Studi yang dilakukan oleh Steers (1975) ini sengaja dipilih karena merupakan studi awal yang menguji pengaruh kebutuhan atas pencapaian pada hubungan antara kinerja dengan sikap kerja, dalam hal ini keterlibatan kerja dan kepuasan kerja. Kelemahan utama studi ini terletak pada metode penelitian terkait dengan operasionalisasi dan pengukuran variabel-variabel yang diteliti. Metode pemilihan sampel, pengajuan masalah, dan ketiadaan simpulan, merupakan kelemahan lain studi ini. Terlepas dari kelemahan-kelemahan tersebut, studi ini memberi kontribusi berharga pada ilmu keperilakuan karena mempertimbangkan peranan valen dan instrumentalitas dalam hubungan perilaku kerja−sikap kerja.

Abstract

Politic is a life reality in an organization. Political organization is a social reality that must be faced by the member of organization it self where they involve interaction one to another. Some of literatures mention that when the members of one organization have perception that there is a political sense in a organization, that must have a relationship and will give influence to the organization commitment, job satisfaction, job performance, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Furthermore, this study examines relationship and the influence between political organization to organization commitment, job satifcation, job performance and OCB. The result of this research shows that political organization have a relationship to organization commitment and job performance but don’t have relationship to OCB. Political organization also have influence to the organization commitment but don’t have to job performance and OCB. Another result stated that job satisfaction do not fulfill validity test.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the effect of work stress on performance, motivation on performance, and work stress and motivation on performance. The research was conducted at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Klas IIA Anak Pria Tangerang with total sample of 97 correctional officers. The results showed that: (1) Work stress negatively effect work performance of correctional officer and not significant. This result supported by correlation test which r value is -0.011, with b’s value = -0.027 and R square = 0.00019. (2) Work motivation positively effect on work performance of correctional officer which r value of 0.359, with b’s value = 0.655 and R square = 0.129. Finally researcher provides the important managerial implications useful for correctional officer related to work stress, motivation, and performance that will lead to work performance of correctional officer.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to test the relationship and influence of servant leadership towards managerial implicationorganizational citizenship behavior and the person-organization fit and organization identification moderate the relationship with 161 students who have joined organization in Maranatha Christian University, as the respondent. From three hypotheses tested in this research, the entire hypotheses were supported; servant leadership behavior predicts organizational citizenship behavior the person-organization fit and organization identification moderate the relationship between servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. One managerial implication that can be applied in this research is leaders who want encourage citizenship behavior among employees would do well to model those behavior towards others.

Abstract

This research determined the results of the performance of mutual fund products offered by PTNISP Asset Management with Risk Adjusted Return calculation model. To perform an assessment of the mutual funds, this research analyzed 6 of 8 mutual fund products offered by PT NISP Asset Management during the years 2008 and 2009. The data analysis methods used were Sharpe Ratio, Treynor Ratio, Jensen Ratio, M2 or M-square measure and Information Ratio.The results of the research showed that mutual funds offered by PT NISP Asset Management should be selected by the investor.The results also showed that the performance of all mutual funds offered by PT. NISP Asset Management that were analyzed performed well, but there was only one mutual fund product rated to survive in times of crisis, which was IndeksSahamProgresif. This mutual fundproduct is recommended for investors who are looking to invest in PT. NISP Asset Management.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to test there are different impact personality traits to portfolio choice of risk and ambiguity aversion with Gender. Using convenience sampling method, there are 190 respondents that have activity or work at Maranatha Christian University. Using Multiple Linier Regression, the result show there are no impact personality traits to portfolio choice of risk and ambiguity aversion and Using Chow test, the result shows there are no different impact personality traits to portfolio choice of risk and ambiguity aversion with Gender because respondents have high education.

Abstract

This study examined the predictors of two types of employee engagement: job engagement and organizational engagement. The effect of justice perceptions (procedural and distributive justice) on various outcomes might be due in part to employee engagement. In other words, when employees have high perceptions of justice in their organization, they are more likely to feel obliged to be fair in how they perform their roles by giving more of themselves through greater levels of engagement. On the other hand, low perceptions of fairness are likely to cause employees to withdraw and disengaged themselves from their work roles. The samples of the research are 32 lecturers in Departement Management Economic Faculty, Maranatha Christian University Bandung by purposive sampling. The examination utilizes with Linier Regression Analysis. The result of this research showed that procedural and distributive justice predicts employee engagement (job engagement and organizational engagement).
